Raiders' Head Coach Fired!

Raiders owner Al Davis got fed up with a head coach who was too vocal for his liking, so he fired Lane Kiffin Tuesday, four games into his second season on the job, a team source told The Chronicle.

    • I'm using the Raiders in franchise mode on Madden '09. I still have Kiffin as my coach. His legacy will live on through me! I'm glad the Raiders have a chance to make my Lions look dece... ok nevermind, not realistic.

    • I can't believe the Raiders have become so lame. Can a footballologist please explain why Al Davis is screwing up the Raiders?
      A cab driver I talked to the other day said it had to do with gambling, but I have a hard time connecting the dots.
      Is it possible he's benefiting economically from their demise? I just don't get it!
