The 26-year-old is full of remorse for both the assault in Liverpool city centre last Christmas which led to his jail term and the training-ground attack on his former Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo which prompted a four-month suspended prison sentence and a six-game Football Association ban.

    • well like its been said previously everyone deserves a second chance but Barton is an exception to the rule, a man like him who has done the things he has should be banned from playing football altogether.

I hope he manages to stay out of trouble but I am sure I am not the only one with massive reservations.
