Robinho walks out on Man City training camp

Imagine you're a footballer earning over £100k a week, your club takes you on a mid-season training camp somewhere nice and warm, away from the grey misery of the north of England and you can't be bothered, so you walk out.

I'd probably play football on broken glass for £100k a week but Robinho has apparently walked out of his training camp and is rumoured to have head back to South America. City smashed the British transfer record when they paid Real Madrid £32.5m for the 24-year-old in August last year and he has become a firm favourite with the fans.

Perhaps this has something to do with Kaka not joining him? or maybe the arrival of Craig Bellamy is enough to make anyone run away.

    • I don't think that you get the point of what is a sport, its not being a super-giant of 7.1 what makes you a good athlete. soccer is the most complete sport ever. A soccer player runs a total of 8 miles during 90 minutes of play, they need tons of skill just to make a good pass. A striker needs to make decisions in milliseconds and after that hit the ball accurately. They need to play as a team with its tactic and have to care about mentality and endurance. American football is a game in which lots of players run and stop others with any kind of control, you need no brain to play American football (but lots of weight). That is why basketball and soccer are Olympic games and baseball, American football and hockey are not considered Olympic games, they are not as complete as soccer

    • Big uo to my friend Beta Boy for breaking it down to these nonathletic sport wanna bees.... ARod is one of my favorite baseball along with Manny, Jeter but they not that athletic. There is no time along with at lot of other stuff that make soccer a cut above the rest. The Female specie easily get tire not male, male are know to be tougher than female. Look at basket ball more female play that sport because it is easier to play.One of the main reason why they choose over soccer is because it less physical. Compare the history of soccer (Real football) and the history of basket ball. Remember players never use to dunk because they were scare of what will happen to them.In soccer nobody is scare of doing whatever they want to do and the field.

    • Actually in a study but TLC or discovery shows that basketball players are the most athletic athletes (I know sounds weird). They can perform at such a fast paced and leap up three feet off the ground without thinking about it at all. They have fast twitch muscle reactions on rivaled by hockey goalies and world class sprinters. Even though it is my least favorite sport when you see a guy 6 foot 10 touching the top of the backboard and slamming the ball down and looking like a super hero its amazing, they are big people with skills like no one else ... the only bad part is most of the time they are to lazy to let everyone see the freakish their skills really are.

      American Football (I will paraphrase) is explosive power in short bursts.

      Basketball is a non-contact sport played by giants.

      Baseball is pretty much as boring as sport can get in my opinion (closely followed by cricket).

      However, surely you must be able to appreciate the skills involved in all sports? Or the poetry in great play?

      Call it a girly sport but some of the skill involved in football/soccer is unrivalled in any sport. Give me Messi, Robinho, Ronaldo and Rooney over Kobe Bryant, A-Rod and.....curses my argument is ruined by not knowing any American football players.

      P.S. I quite like Ice Hockey.

    • yeah i have played football with a helmet and an oblong ball this is soccer a womens fitness activity. i played when i was young and got tired of running around with no point other then great exercise. come on beta.

    • Thank God, maybye one of these people actually figured out that sports wastes so much human resources, ideas, inovations and time that it is almost a henderence to our society because people follow it like a religion. Lets hope more follow suit.

      Becuse you are lazy. You are not a competitor you like things to come easy to u. You probably like watch juggling a ball siting in your lazy chair saying to yourself "I wish I could do that". Guess what, things that you pay to see a clown do with their hands, soccer players could do that with their feet.Your feet is of no use to u so u should give them to someone in Brazil who has the talent to entertain millions.

      Oh I think hand eye cordination is great but following sports like a religion is obviously a waste of time. Most everyone in the stands is drunk and if you goto any bar you will see everyone having a good time because they are DRUNK not cause its actually entertaining.

      I spend my time learning and trying to better myself not wishing I was something else that would be a waste of time too. I do compete alot but at something I think is much more important, what do you know and how are you going to help the human race advance. To me that competition takes priority over some stupid ball going into a hoop or whatever the ball does in this game among litterally millions of different ones the human race has invented to pass the time.

      My disagreence is not the fact that people do it but the reverence that it is given. It is much undeserving of such a devotion and I will state my opinion no matter how much you mock "Nerds". I am smart and proud of it, if you think intelligence is a weakness I shall see you on the other end of a missle some day while you try to hit it. Have a nice one and enjoy your mindless entertainment of the masses.

      You need to check yourself. You need a psychological check up. You are only mad at sport because you are not athletic. If it wasn't for sport there would be a lot of war and crime around the globe. I am not going to go in details it is for you to do your research. Check this history of sport and see why it was invented. You should tell your out going President Bush to stop promote war and save our naturally resource for future generation.All work and know play make you a dumb human.

      watch a real sport and play real sports, not this flop fest with where you cant tel the difference between the womens team and the mens team . basketball baseball football(man football not your women game) and hockey. Try it in CA i might dunk on you just like my pic .

      You could probably dunk and me but it is not going be easy.Remember,basket ball is not a complete sport because there are two many restriction and respect for so call great player. I guess you are a Duke Fan. That's beside the point. basket ball is also a none contact sport.That mean it is a soft sport. Most of the guys in the NBA are soft. Check out Vince Cater saying that Kobe Bryant is selfish because he score 81 points following that speech he went to Miami and score 51 points. Big baby crying when a real man (Kevin Garnet) spoke hard to him. Important stuff that just came to mind, some of the best and exciting players in the league have soccer background.NFL got the name from soccer (real football) i agree that football is a male sport but soccer is not a Pussy sport either.You should try and play street football in England,Brazil, Italy and you will be crying like the bitch you call Robino. I remember one game Ricky Henderson who will be a hall of fame stole a base in a game where some records was to be broke and the coach and pitcher start complaining. Any game that rely total and your hands is closer to a female sport. It is much easier to use your hands than your foot, would you say...

      I love all sport but Real Football(Soccer) is the most complete sport. I bet you if you go to the Caribbean or Africa you could find a lot of Randy Moss (my favorite player) Terrel Owens, Donovan Macnabb. If Usain Bolt decide to join the NFL you will see what I am talking about. He probably running because soccer require more than just speed.Most of those sports than you mentioned does not require too much skill,Just enough to play.Check the amount of skills soccer players posses.

I would like to what is your favorite sport and I could probable say the say thing but I wont because I watch all and play most of them when I have the time. Try to find out the reason why he left the camp before you go off and disrespect the guy.
