Portsmouth will announce today that Adams, has paid the price for taking the FA Cup winners to within a point of the relegation zone following Saturday’s 3-2 defeat by Liverpool.
Adams had one game in charge as caretaker, with coach Joe Jordan, before earning a two-year contract on a permanent basis. But Adams’ record is, statistically, the worst in the club’s history with just four wins out of the 22, and only two wins in 16 Premier League games, a run that has seen Portsmouth drop from eighth – when Redknapp left – to 16th.
IS 4 months enough time to make your team? Given that Portsmouth are trying to sell their players and the upheaval of losing a manager this seems a little unfair.
