Is MLB Pro Yankees?

If you've ever wondered about some of those calls that go the pinstripe way, or if there's just a little too much on the payroll, or perhaps the big question of how they can start out terribly and end up in the World Series up 3-1, perhaps it has to do with Major League Baseball's donations. They do have their headquarters in New York, after all.

"Spend the money to win" -- how many millions more do the Yankees take in, being in the #1 media market in the world, than other teams?

It's an issue of money all right but it's not about other teams "not being willing to spend the money to win". It's about revenue streams. It's about profit.

MLB profits more and exposes the game more by having the marquee team in the #1 media market as it's champions. That's a fact. It also profits more by having northeast-corridor teams vying for a championship and not those in other markets. Why? Population and fan interest in the heavily populated Northeast corridor.

OK, so being more specific, other teams aren't exploring other revenue stream opportunities. Yeah, the Yankees have their own network, but instead of other teams complaining about it, they should create their own network. Copy what the big money teams have done to create more revenue streams just like they copied "moneyball" principles from the small market teams. I used to feel for those teams, but now I don't think they do everything they can to win.
