So here we are.
Months of hard work, countless storyboards, and tens of thousands of ideas were distilled into twelve episodes of Bar Karma.
Twelve episodes that started with you. The community.
They said a community-developed television show couldn't be done. But Will Wright thought it could. So did Current TV and David Cohn. So did Albie Hecht and Worldwide Biggies, who along with Laura Knight, captained the ship that drove the cast and crew.
The foundation to all of that, though, was you. The community. Day after day, idea after idea, episode after episode.
I joined the Bar Karma team late in the game - nearly the last person who stumbled in through the bar's doors, a few weeks before the show premiered. Jim and I didn't have James to show us our cards or MW News to alert us of our possible fates. Or pour us a drink.
Wait, James, come back!
But that was okay. Because the community quickly showed me the ropes. Your creativity and dedication to this project has been nothing short of amazing, and it has been a pleasure and an honor to work with you.
I hope that no matter what happens with Bar Karma's fate, that you take the lessons you've learned along the way into your own future creative endeavors.
The site - including the forums and blog comments - is going into read-only mode. The Bar Karma community has created a group on the main Current site, to stay in contact with each other. That group can be found here.
There will be upcoming opportunities to continue creating with StoryMaker, so make sure to watch this space or check the Bar Karma Facebook page for updates soon.
Thank you for everything.
Best,
Nina Bargiel

You were always honest, encouraging and made me feel as if I had direct contact with the Bar Karma production side of things.
Good luck as I am sure you will be successful in your future endeavors.
