The Expectant Mother - at least 7 or 8 months along and obviously pregnant to anyone - walks into the bar and orders the strongest drink they have, Everclear if they've got it. She's a mess; clothes in disarray & makeup smeared from crying... although she's tearless now, having come to her conclusion and made her decision.
The bar, of course, refuses service, and she becomes fierce, adamantly insisting that they serve her -- she doesn't want the baby, she doesn't want her life; she just wants enough "liquid courage" to do whatever it is she's decided to do....
Which led her inevitably into Bar Karma.
