The politician sits in a white sun dress on a wooden swing attached to a tall, dead tree in the middle of a field . The scene is devoid of color, and the only sound is an eerie wind that rustles as she hums "Blackbirds in a Pie" and cradles her large, pregnant stomach. In the distance, a thunderstorm grows, and lightning and thunder crackle. Still, she keeps smiling at her stomach, until a gnarled male hand appears on her shoulder. Slowly, unconcerned, the politician looks up; her face falls, and she screams--waking herself from her dream, sweat-covered and shaking. The telephone rings, and when she answers, a voice on the other end says, "Senator [character last name], this is your 6am wake-up call." She says thank you before hanging up the phone and nervously slides her hand over her flat stomach.
