Who is the Robber? Posted by Jim_Goldblum | JANUARY 28, 2011
Since he was James' responsibility, he had to go after him and kill him, or so he thought, and now the robber is roaming free without James' knowledge. Perhaps the robber has gain smarts after his relationship with his old mentor soured, or maybe he's been aided by another person (maybe the Overconfident man?).
Now, not only is the robber after James' cards, but maybe even Doug. He resents Doug for being his newest replacement and will try to kill him like he's done with others.
This should play into the secret organization that James belongs to. Someone in it wants to gain control of James' powers and is using his old protege against him.

You have my vote. Unfortunately, reading some of these pitches gave me a headache. Yours was very straight forward, easy to follow. I agree, something like this would be interesting.
My two cents; why does James have to kill the Robber? I would imagine a 20,000 year old sophisticated, man of the Cosmos would have other ways of dealing with him.

Hey Tim, thanks for your support on this pitch. As I envisioned it, I wanted there to be some sort of antagonist who was caught between James and the main evil character. I guess the best explanation for James having to kill him is that he learned about most of his secrets and, if he's able to gain possession of them, can use them for negative purposes.
I wanted to make it that the Robber escaped not so much because he was on par with James (which he isn't even close), but because he was aided by the Overconfident Man, who is just as old as James and the real threat.

Thank you satellitelady, I guess I'm just trying to come up with something that will help the overall storyline and could bring in a better plot throughout the season (s).

caleones...i love this pin on Moses Pitch to this one....btw i think i have the "Light-side " foil to James....his Luke Skywalker...a woman/soul-mate from his past who has ascended...i see Julia Styles in my mind playing her! She was in a leper colony during the mid-age...James was a Knight of Hospitalis...they knew each-other as soul-mate at first meeting...he as a man of religious orders married them together and thereby lost his ascendance which was ready for him had he not broken his vow of celibacy...James deepest regret of all his incarnations is that they are separated again!

Thank you Rebecca, I'm glad you like this version of the plot. I also like Julia Styles and think, if had, she could be a great addition to the show. At first I thought that she would hurt the Dexter storyline (her character, not her acting) but I was happily surprised she dealt with it great. I can see her on Bar Karma as well.

I wondered about how that character would harm or help Dexter...but i ended up so deeply effected by her character and acting...she can be very intense....it was a great season.
btw i heard her interviewed about her character leaving Dexter in the show at season's end. she felt bad for that...but i don't think the writers could have done anything else...were they going to hop from murder spree to murder spree like bonnie and clyde raising little serial killers and saint as their children....TOTALLY LOVED HER IN DEXTER! - 2 years ago

I have to admit I was reluctant at first to like her, because quite frankly, I think I was in love with Rita, haha. But Julia did an exeptional job.
