What is the opening scene for the Hacker? Posted by Jim_Goldblum | FEBRUARY 10, 2011
We see a 20 year old girl sitting at a cafe working on her laptop. There are quite a few people also with laptops in the surrounding tables. She seems not to know a lot of stuff about computers and is frustrated that she can't figure out how to makes something work. In the next table is a young guy in his 20's also on his laptop. He sees the girl and decides to help her seeing as she is very cute. She offers to help so she gives him her usb stick so he can try it on his laptop. He manages to fix the problem. She thanks him but says that she has to go after he makes an offer to hang out. While she is gathering her stuff to leave, the guys computer freezes out and all his files are erased. The same thing happens to all the other computers in the cafe. There is a lot of commotion about it. The girl looks at her usb stick and smiles as she opens the door to exit the cafe....and enters bar karma.

I like it, it's not like every other image of the Hacker being an ominous guy lurking in a dark room...well done opening the scene in a daylight setting and with normal people around. This seem to feel more realistic for me.
