In all episodes set within the present day, one way we can have the Mazda 2 appear not just in one episode but recurring is by having used as the car for the organization that James broke away from [I think that was mentioned somewhere].

Since every episode has one external appearance, that car will always be seen watching in the background somewhere. Sometimes stationary, sometimes rolling along slowly, always watching.

Its something that can be used over and over until a final reveal of the rival org where the car will get even more screen time as they will finally drive up to the bar in that episode to walk out and enter.

You could have a series of flashbacks developing any background story for a particular episode with each happened to be set in a different time of transportation / automobile development.

So in narrating the background story from one character to another [James to whoever], the "watchers" are seen staking out Bar Karma in a horse/carriage, then 1920's automobiles, then the first Mazdas, then the Mazda 2.

    • It would be great if you could turn this around for good. I really like the tension you have built with the mysterious person watching from the car.

    • I agree with Bruden, what is the story of the organization? is there a way you could turn it around to be positive?

    • Aside from turning the sponsors car into a theoretical "bad guy" vehicle, that's really not a bad idea. And I only say that it being the "bad guy" car is a negative thing because that's how some sponsors view it, but hey even the villains gotta have a sweet ride, right?
