We need your help coming up with ideas that could grow into full blown episode storylines.
Here’s the challenge: Come up with a synopsis that could be an episode storyline.
Write up a paragraph with some of your ideas so that we have something to start with – but don’t worry about coming up with a full episode. The most intriguing storylines will be cherry-picked for further development.
Who knows, your idea could make it to TV!

Dayna and Doug are playing darts, the Jukebox kicks on playing an ominous tune. Surprised and confused both Dayna and Doug turn to see someone entering the bar.
Entering the bar is a sharply dressed man, suit, expensive overcoat, he gives off an air of confident and sleazy, as if he knows something you don’t and is going to use it to milk you of everything you’ve got. (Think Mark... more -
A person walks in the bar in hospital clothes carrying a sense of awe, relief and surprise. Options:
1) He/she is having a "near death" experience while undergoing a surgery, and reaches Bar Karma.
2) In the case of option 1, here is some Karmic connection between this person and the surgeon or nurses participating in the surgery in past lives.
3) He/she is having a "lucid dream" while in the hospital bed.
4) He/she is actually (already) dead, and reaches Bar Karma as a disembodied "soul". -
The show starts out with a view of the bar at "night" (" " since there is really no sense of time in the bar), Doug, Dayna, and James are all asleep in their rooms. Then all of a sudden a yell is heard from the bar. Immediately the staff wake up and rush to see what the commotion is. As they reach the bar area they see a bright flash of light and suddenly there is a sailor on the floor... more

In the future, an author's last work becomes a manifesto for a radical politcal movement that threatens global stability. James must bring him in and convince him to write a piece of best seller fluff instead. Will the old man sacrifice his legacy to save millions of lives?

Ray, a pot-smoking schizophrenic, and a regular of the bar, has a wife, and an imaginary friend, Mick. His wife, Alex, frequently cheats, and he calls her on it one day. He is then in denial, blaming his imaginary friend Mick for implanting ideas in his head about Alex cheating. She leaves with another man soon afterwards; Ray believes she is kidnapped, due to his paranoia. Real... more

The jukebox plays a song that, for a reason he's not sure of himself, grabs Doug's attention, and a mere moment later, after having asked Dayna what the song was, a man with a guitar enters the bar, completely hammered beyond the point of being able to walk two steps without looking like he was trying to do it sideways and further, if possible, beyond the point of being able... more

Brian Brushwood (bar magician, fire eater, and internet star) wanders into what he believes is a San Francisco bar looking for places to shoot new episodes of Scam School, when instead he finds himself inside a far more mystical place, Bar Karma! Showing off a few tricks to what he thinks is an average bartender, Brian is shocked when James easily figures out the scams before Brian, some before... more

Richard Feynman (American physicist, Nobel Prize in Physics 1965, assisted in the development of the atomic bomb) walks into Bar Karma. The date is August 6, 1945.
Feyman once said, "I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. I have approximate answers, and... more -
There is a man who can create anything he wants by dialing a cell phone. Helicopters, weapons, money, it's all his at the touch of a button. However, whenever he uses it to "cheat," he loses 1% of his vision. After 100 uses, he will be totally blind. Maybe upon additional uses, he begins to lose other senses? (Loosely based on the cheating system from GTA IV).

In a parallel universe, or another planet (Whichever would be more appropriate for the nature of the show), a nomad from a post apocalyptic desert ridden world thousands of years after the event that caused the apocalypse, walks into the bar, expecting to kill somebody, but, of course, finds the bar instead. I turns out that the person he was going to kill was the man who caused the apocalypse in the first place, which was possible due to time travel (possibly tying in with another episode). The main conflict of fate is that if he succeeds, the timeline will change far more than for the average visitor.

Dayna and Doug must go back in time to 1992 in order to prevent a hacker from creating a hyper-destructive super-virus that is used to hold the world ransom. Back in 1992, the hacker is just a kid who wants a new video game (Sim Farm) really badly. They must get the kid the game so he doesn't become jaded and angry at the disappointment that computers have caused him. Also, not getting the must-have game made him unpopular, bullied, and emotionally scarred. Lots of crazy 90's nostalgia can be thrown in throughout all this.

A crippled man is seen sitting home alone, an empty shot glass lies tipped over on the armrest of his wheel chair. Staring at the illuminating television in the darkness, the camera pans around to reveal a handgun resting on the other armrest. The man is weeping, his life has been a living hell ever since the accident. His wife had left him, his friends driven away by his alcoholic habits, and his... more

The Carnation Revolution, was a left-leaning military coup started on 25 April 1974, in Lisbon, Portugal, that effectively changed the Portuguese regime from an authoritarian dictatorship to a democracy. A well dressed man in his early 60s enters the bar. Looking befuddled and thinking "this isn't the type of bar I usually go to. I must be lost" he walks in and asks James where he is. He was planning to meet his wife of 40 years for a pre-theater cocktail. His wife was no where to be found. The man's phone starts ringing and ringing, call upon call. Something urgent was happening. He ignored the first few calls, then answered the call from his brother-in-law, his broker. His company's stock is plummeting, breaking news that his company has been involved in a huge scandal.

A previous Dalai Lama walks into Bar Karma and is astonished. While others who usually walk in assume its an actual waterhole, he "sees beneath the surface" so to speak. He realizes and understands that this place is not what it seems and that it has something to do with the cycle of life.
We learn as the audience that, this previous incarnation of the Dalai Lama, was [is?] a... more -
