"Tesla Motors, based in San Carlos, California, was approved yesterday for $465M in loans from the Department of Energy's Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing program. Tesla plans to use $365M of the money to finance a manufacturing facility for the Model S (review, Letterman video) and $100M for a powertrain manufacturing plant in the SF Bay Area. 'Tesla will use the ATVM loan precisely the way that Congress intended — as the capital needed to build sustainable transport,' said Tesla CEO and Product Architect Elon Musk. Tesla expects the Model S to ship in late 2011 and the base cost to be $57,400 ($49,900 after a federal tax credit). Ford received $5.9B and Nissan received $1.6B under the same program.""Tesla Motors, based in San Carlos, California, was approved yesterday for $465M... more

Consider the caloric damage of typical summer activities—weekly backyard BBQs provide pounds of juicy burgers topped with gobs of high-calorie condiments; ice cream dates offer options of double and triple scoops, smothered in sugar-packed and fat-blasted toppings; and seasonal drink choices (the kind you add umbrellas to and sip from faux-coconuts) guarantee you'll wash it all down with hundreds of extra calories. Not exactly flat-belly fare.

(Associated Press) SAN FRANCISCO - A baby sea lion was rescued early Monday after wandering onto a busy San Francisco Bay area freeway.
Drivers on Interstate 880 started calling authorities around 5:45 a.m. to report the animal "walking" in the center divider near the Oakland Coliseum, said Peter Van Eckhardt, an officer with the California Highway Patrol.
He said the sea lion likely made it onto land from a nearby San Francisco Bay estuary and crossed the roadway in the middle of the night.
The animals do wander onto Bay area roadways from time to time, Van Eckhardt said. A male sea lion was found waddling on a busy street in Richmond in May, but died from malnutrition.
"It definitely happens on occasion," Van Eckhardt said. "This is pretty off the beaten path for them to come in this far."
An Oakland police officer driving near the coliseum Monday morning loaded the small, grey-coated sea lion into the back of his patrol car and took it to an animal control center, Van Eckhardt said.
Several officers later tried to get the animal, nicknamed "Fruitvale" for the Oakland neighborhood where it was found, into a cage, but it jumped underneath the patrol car. The pup eventually was rounded up and taken to The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, a nonprofit facility that helps sick and injured marine animals. Jim Oswald, a spokesman for the center, said the animal is active and alert but slightly malnourished.
I'm sure it was pretty traumatic to go through what (it) did today," Oswald said. "(It) seems to be doing fine."
Veterinarians wanted to give the animal a chance to rest, but they plan to undertake a more thorough medical evaluation Tuesday, Oswald said.(Associated Press) SAN FRANCISCO - A baby sea lion was rescued early Monday after... more

Why do we need to care? Because this is the next step in the process of potential future global peace for generations to come, our advanced technology especially in recent years with blogging and social networking has given the world something it never had before, to reach out to each other. To have eyes, ears and a voice in places at one time we would only read about in the newspaper, hear on the radio or watch on the local news. We could only form our opinions on a subject based on what our government and media would tell us. Now we can go into the home of someone on the other side of the world sharing our different views and life. We can make friends from different backgrounds, different lifestyles, and different religions learn about what makes each other tick. Why do we need to care? Have you ever noticed girls who set their handbags on public toilet floors, then go directly to their dining tables and set it on the table? Happens a lot ! It's not always the 'restaurant food' that causes stomach distress. Sometimes 'what you don't know will hurt you'!
Read on.............
Mom got so upset when guests came in the door and plopped their handbags down on the counter where she was cooking or setting up food. She always said that handbags are really dirty, because of where they have been.
It's something just about every woman carries with them. While we may know what's inside our handbags, do you have any idea what's on the outside? Women carry handbags everywhere; from the office to public toilets to the floor of the car. Most women won't be caught without their handbags, but did you ever stop to think about where your handbag goes during the day.
'I drive a school bus, so my handbag has been on the floor of the bus a lot,' says one woman. 'On! The floor of my car, and in toilets.'
'I put my handbag in grocery shopping carts and on the floor of the toilet,' says another woman 'and of course in my home which should be clean.'
We decided to find out if handbags harbour a lot of bacteria. We learned how to test them at Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake , and then we set out to test the average woman's handbag.
Most women told us they didn't stop to think about what was on the bottom of their handbag. Most said at home they usually set their handbags on top of kitchen tables and counters where food is prepared.
Most of the ladies we talked to told us they wouldn't be surprised if their handbags were at least a little bit dirty.
It turns out handbags are so surprisingly dirty, even the microbiologist who tested them was shocked.
Microbiologist Amy Karen of Nelson Labs says nearly all of the handbags tested were not only high in bacteria, but high in harmful kinds of bacteria.
Pseudomonas can cause eye infections
Staphylococcus aurous can cause serious skin infections
and Salmonella and e-coli found on the handbags could make people very sick.
In one sampling, four of five handbags tested positive for salmonella, and that's not the worst of it. 'There is faecal contamination on the handbags' says Amy. Leather or vinyl handbags tended to be cleaner than cloth handbags, and lifestyle seemed to play a role.
People with kids tended to have dirtier handbags than those without, with one exception.
The handbag of one single woman who frequented nightclubs had one of the worst contaminations of all. 'Some type of faeces, or possibly vomit' says Amy.
So the moral of this story is that your handbag won't kill you, but it does have the potential to make you very sick if you keep it on places where you eat. Use hooks to hang your handbag at home and in toilets, and don't put it on your desk, a restaurant table, or on your kitchen countertop.
Experts say you should think of your handbag the same way you would a pair of shoes. 'If you think about putting a pair of shoes on your countertops, that's the same thing you're doing when you put your handbag on the countertops.'
Your handbag has gone where individuals before you have walked, sat, sneezed, coughed, spat, urinated, emptied bowels, etc!
Do you really want to bring that home with you?
The microbiologists at Nelson also said cleaning a handbag will help. Wash cloth handbags and use leather cleaner to clean the bottom of leather handbags.
THIS IS WORTH SHARING!!! PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR GRANDMOTHERS, MUMS, DAUGHTERS, GRANDDAUGHTERS AND GIRLFRIENDS !!!Have you ever noticed girls who set their handbags on public toilet floors, then go... more

The amount of counterfeit money in the US is low enough that most people feel safe taking money with barely a minimal check for counterfeits. Does it look and feel like money? Then it probably is. But have you ever gotten a bill where something—either the bank note or the person giving it to you—seemed a little off? Ever wished you could quickly check to see if it was good? Well, here’s how.

finally after a couple months of waiting for my mighty mend it to come in, i have finally come close to atually finishing the coat,.. all thats left after this stage is the liner,.. maybe a bit of ~frill~ to jazz it up a bit,.. i surely dont want it to be bland,.. do i need to add more to it?
total time it took me to complete this coat was about 10 days,.. the 2 months it was just hanging up waiting for the mendit to come in,.. i have been told by some people that they had never seen an actual coat like this,.. now i am not a smart man,.. i have not had any training in making these things other than my past experiences,.. i firmly believe that anyone can do these same things if they put thier mind to accomplishing complex feats of incredible difficulty,.. i think they key point of doing something like this is tenacity,.. i too am at fault for not doing diligence to some jobs and paid more due to others that were not as worthy in getting accomplished,.. it feels good to know that i actually created this with my own hands,.. no sewing machine,.. just scissors and a needle and thread,.. well until the mighty mend it came in (thankfully),.. i had rehydrated the snake after about 25 years of being rolled up in a bag,.. it took a whole 8 oz bottle of glycerin to soften this bad boy up,.. of course and 18 foot snake what else would you expect? LOL i cannot wait for my next pelted coat,.. i am thinking my next project will involve a couple large rattlers from out in the desert.
i cannot fully explain the feeling that goes along with accomplishing a coat of this magnitude,.. when you walk into a bar or a casino,.. the feeling of knowing that all eyes are on you is a scary one at first,.. but i seem to find it more comforting as time passes to know that everyone's eyes are on my coat,..and eventually they confront me for more information,.. it is like a wearable business card,.. that is always for sale,.. in which i have sold dusters off my back before
i was always told by many people of whom i respected that "if you every do anything worth talking about make sure you do it the right way",.. another friend said to me, if it's worth doing at all,.. why not do it first class all the way?" i,.. being a perfectionist by proxy of being an artist ( or is that OCD?) in any case,.. i try to do things to the point of over thought sometimes,.. i always feel that something can always be better,.. when there are times,.. that i just need to stop.
so, i try to do it all,.. first class show stopping piece of artwork,.. i hope all those PETA people arent made at me for using a snake,.. i guess it dont matter if they gonna be mad at me for using elk skin,.. man,.. ya just cant win with those people,.. next thing it will be raping the cotton plant for its precious fibers,.. oh boy,.. dont get me started on that!finally after a couple months of waiting for my mighty mend it to come in, i have... more

8:11:25: I am done with my session and think my body has had enough for today and will try either later or tomorrow and start up the experiment tomorrow. I will now take vitamins and minerals to extend the health of my body.
10:12:00: I tested my blood sugar and it still goes up so I need to do shot as usual. So if it does any good it's probably going to take months before I can produce results of success or failure. I will keep monitoring blood sugars as I go and if I see any blood sugar results staying the same for about a day and not going up then that may be the result of my pancreas restoring it's islet cells.
10:14:00: I take a multivitamin and 2,000miligrams of Omega 3.
the multivitamin has these vitamins:
Vitamin A 2500 I.U 50%
(20% as Beta carotene)
Vitamin C 60mg 100%
Vitamin D 800I.U 200%
Vitamin E 30I.U 100%

WARNING: This is a current public project log being publicly released of all my research data, tests, and experimentation I am doing in case I get renditioned by the government under order by the Rockefellers. This is experimental and if you decided to use any research from my experiment or even read this your own your own and YOU AGREE not to sue me, YOU AGREE not to hold my liable for any miscalculations or problems that could occur. This is just a legal warning and if my experiment was a success it will be reported to every media outlet throughout the world and if I am kidnapped by the pharmaceutical overlords then you can use my research yourself from my public logs (although use Tor so the cops don't get you) then you can release this yourself.
So this attempt may cure my diabetes (I did another attempt with different activities and different results, I did started gaining stable bloodsugars for many hours but then lost my good levels after a certain time I didn't have any blood sugar problems for the food I was eating which is unlogged, and also why I am logging this, this time.) and even if it succeeds I may get diabetes again because of DNA Defects which I going to test a DNA Repairing frequency of 528hz, and was thinking about setting up my pancreas to accept 528hz after playing 117.30hz to see if this could repair my pancreases DNA to accept DNA repairing changes and thus creating anti-body defenses around the pancreas area so the T-Cell body attacking (viruses turning cells against it's own body) cells cannot reach my pancreas. Since garlic could be a good remedy for viral attacks I will log everytime I have any garlic, and vitamins as well so that if I succeed other won't fail and wonder why they failed when I didn't.
I am thinking about attempting this again then logging the results. I just ate 6 eggo cinnamon toast waffles after my blood sugar was reported after the testing at 6:07AM, I knew my diabetes wouldn't be cured after a split second but am monitoring the results very carefully because if my pancreas ever does repair itself then my blood sugar may take a sharp drop possibly killing me or making me unconscience so I have to monitor the blood sugars carefully and start logging the results before and after testing blood sugars to gather valid data that may be needed by research institutions.
6:07AM: My blood sugar was reported as 265
7:29AM: My blood sugar was reported as 350 So I will do 5 units of humalog insulin and will after reattempt to start up the frequencies on my body again.
It may sound like I'm failing now but the body is a complicated system, if it worked it may take days, weeks, or months to see some results.
7:34AM, I am going to attempt to use 528hz and 117.30hz to attempt to fix the DNA flaws which is why I have type 1 diabetes, if my DNA can change itself by the frequencies and positivity in my mind alone then my pancreas may attempt to repair itself if I can turn on the right genes without any physical intervention with any type of physical way to change the genes in my DNA.
7:49:15AM Attempting two times, the two frequencies on AudacityPortable before giving myself a shot of insulin to bring down the blood sugar. Then attempt to use the pancreas repairing frequencies. I also chanted the 2nd time to myself to fix my pancreas and kept chanting on what changes I want from my DNA, I also thought positive and controlled my thoughts real well to avoid negative thoughts and feelings which can bring the body down.
8:07:01: I am attempting to play those frequencies I first played before at that exact time.
8:07:40: I felt a bit of pain so lowered the volume a bit and feel better. I also feel a bit hot in the areas in my body the speakers are playing in. My body is getting used to the frequencies and so I am seeing what happens and staying positive. I will also take vitamins to make my body healthier.WARNING: This is a current public project log being publicly released of all my... more

Please read if you are considering shopping at Old Navy tomorrow!
I’ve heard rumors that Old Navy is having a $3 t-shirt sale tomorrow, May 30th, only. I’m not sure where people have gotten this information since not only have I not seen any ads on TV for this supposed sale [and I watch a lot of TV], but I also checked out the Old Navy weekly specials website and there was nothing there. However, if this sale does happen, be warned. If it’s anything like the $1 flip-flop sale, you should be prepared for ungodly amounts of in-store traffic, crying children lying on the floor, and flip-flops [as well as other people’s nasty shoes] strewn about randomly without their mate. If, after hearing all this, you still feel compelled to shop in a store organized about as well as a 13-year-old ADHD girl’s closet, read on.Please read if you are considering shopping at Old Navy tomorrow!
