The Introduction:
1. The yogic technique of the Shaambhavee-Mudraa is said to be one of the most powerful one amongst all the Yoga techniques. But, it is kept a TOP SECRET by the Yoga Experts, Masters and Gurus.
2. Also, it is fully secular in nature unlike what is being now a day taught as the Shaambhavee-Mudraa by certain Shiva Yoga experts. The Shiva Yoga Experts describe a methodology containing necessarily the invocation of the Hindu God Lord Shiva and the holy Sidhas, chanting of the hymns in praise of the Lord Shiva, and concentrating on a stone structure called Sumaeru, etc.
3. In reality, there is no need to follow any God/Goddess. All that one is required to do is to tap oneself into the universal reservoir of the energy.
4. The original Sanskrit text ‘Gheranda Samhita' carries five verses, serial numbers 64 to 68 regarding the ‘Shaambhavee-Mudraa' in the Third Lesson titled ‘Atha Mudraakathanama.'
You may see the original text for these verses [ I have relied on 'The Gheranda Samhita' translated into English by Rai-Bahadur Srisa Chandra Vasu, SSP edition 1979, published first in the year 1914-15]. However, I found a few words not correctly translated. Hence, I have attempted to give the correct English translation of these four relevant and important verses as follows:
1. The verse number 64 tells - keeping the focus inwardly between the two eyes symmetrically, examine/observe the ‘RAMA of the Soul - that is the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA - kept a SECRET in all the TANTRAs.
2. The verse number 65 says - The Vedas, the Shaastras, The Puraannas are like ordinary public women - Keep the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA secret like keeping a daughter-in-law of the respectable family a SECRET/AWAY FROM the public gaze.
3. The verse number 66 says - The one who is an expert in the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA is definitely the Aadenaatha, the Naaraayana one self and the creator Brhmaa.
4. The verse number 67 says - True, true, again true, True, the one who knows the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA is the True Liberator/Truly Liberated Maheshawara, Brahmaa- the one who knows the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA is not otherwise/other than these two.
You can notice clearly that the above verses don't explain the following points:
1. Who is the RAMA of the SOUL?
2. How can mere observing the RAMA of the SOUL be the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA?
3. How is one to examine/observe the RAMA of the Soul?
4. How the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert can be Aadenaatha, Naaraayanna, Brhmaa?
5. How the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert can be the True Liberator/Truly Liberated Maheshawara?
To my mind, following are the point-wise answers:
1. The universal energy reservoir/white light from which the soul comes is referred to here as the RAMA.
2. The word SHAMBHAVEE means the power/faculty to see. The word MUDRAA means the physical posture. Thus, it is clear now that the practitioner examines/observes/sees the universal white light in the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA.
3. After sitting in the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA, close both eyes. Take the breath in from both of the nostrils. Bring your breath in the SHAKTEEBRHAMAANDA [skull/brain] area and retain it for a duration with which you are totally comfortable and safe. Then, Focus on the third eye-centre. There, if you are lucky enough and have done sufficient practice, you will see the huge ocean of the bright light and nothing else. Examine this light. See its ratio compared to the darkness around. Slowly, concentrate only on the light. You will now see only bright light in front of you. This is the most powerful universal energy manifesting itself in reality right in front of you.
4. The SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert can be Aadenaatha, Naaraayanna, Brhmaa. These are the different names for the creator of this universe, in the Hindu mythology. The SHAAMBHAVI-MUDRAA Expert can create whatever one desires, like creating the successful conditions and environment for getting success in life, creating good health by removing illness, etc.
5. According to the Shiva Yoga, the soul gets liberation by merging into the Absolute called lord Shiva, as the Lord Shiva is said to be the liberated Absolute So, the Lord Shiva is said to be the True Liberator and the Truly Liberated one. The SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert can become like the True Liberator Maheshawara by helping other organisms/people get rid of their KARMIC LOAD and by activating their own Bio-Electro-Magnetic Field so as to help them have the SHAAMBHAVEE SHAKTE [power].
How the SHAAMBHAVEE Works:
1. The SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert becomes one with the universal-energy-reservoir [UER] when such practitioner retains the breath in the SHAKTEEBRHAMAANDA [skull/brain] area.
2. The SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert then can do the healing or removing of the illness of any one even sitting away at a great physical distance. In this case, visualize the patient. The malfunctioning body parts shall be visible as the BLACK mass. Go on mentally removing the dark patches and spots from the patient's visualized body for minimum three hours continually [not necessarily continuously at one single stretch]daily for 3-7 days minimum. You don't have to chant anything. Just think that just looking at the figure, these ill-spots are getting removed like a black layer being removed from a bright white light surface.
3. The SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert can imagine the presence of one's desired/ dreamt-for- objects, objectives, goals which can range from materialistic to the spiritual ones. Later, these start manifesting in reality in the real life for the successful SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA Expert in this very world itself.
4. You may lay on your bed with your head placed comfortably on a pillow in the night time when there is absolute calm in case you can't sit in the Sidha aasana. Then perform the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA.
The Example:
Making use of the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA, a practitioner was able to help a person regain his eye-sight fully despite the practitioner and the healing-receiver being separated by thousands of kilometers across two continents in two geographically opposite parts of the earth.
The Desirable DO's:
1. Lead a morally and spiritually good life.
2. Have a staunch faith in the UER.
3. Practice the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA in the Sidha aasana under the guidance of some really competent and fully knowledgeable Yoga-Master, Expert or Guru even if these people don't know anything about the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA technique described above.
4. Practice the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA daily for an hour.
5. Always express gratitude to the person from whom you have read, learnt or mastered the SHAAMBHAVEE-MUDRAA, before and after every session.
6. Always express gratitude to the UER [or any God, Goddess/other spiritual entity you may be believing-in], before and after every session.
7. Always express gratitude to your own soul, before and after every session.
8. Always forgive genuinely your own self, forgive others and seek forgiveness from others mentally before every session.
9. Perform regularly the charity acts like feeding the birds, giving medicines to the needy, etc.

How can one Trim and Slim by practicing the Shaktebrhamaanda Kreyaa? Read this article to find out for yourself.
The overweight people tend to generally feel disturbed mentally by the excess weight/fat of their physical bodies, since several diseases are associated with one's being overweight. This seems to be especially true in the case of the American people a large number of whom are said to be overweight. Also, the ladies conscious of their figures can't take in this weight problem easily.
There are already numerous remedies being offered to overcome one's excess weight and become slim. So, you may wonder naturally as to what new remedy is being offered here?
Well, this remedy already exists, but I am honestly sure of the most of you not being aware of it. This remedy called the SHAKTEBRHAMAANDA KREYAA consisting of both the ‘PRAANNA SHODHANA KREYAA' and the NAABHEBRHAMAANDA KREYAA does help tremendously in reducing one's excess weight with the main bonus being a flexible and SLIM physical body.
[A]. The Concept of the ‘PRAANNA SHODHANA KREYAA':
1. Sit comfortably on a woolen mat in the Sidhaasana mode. Now, close both of your eyes. Concentrate on the third eye center. With the inner focus being on the third eye center, do the AAde Shankaraachaarya's NAADEE SHODHANA KREYAA. This essentially means that first of all do close your right nostril with the help of your right ANGUUTHAA [thumb] and inhale the breath slowly through your left nostril, retain this breath for 2-5 seconds and exhale it slowly through the left nostril only. This is one cycle. Repeat such 11 cycles.
2. Then, close your left nostril with the help of the Tarjanee [index finger] of the right palm and inhale the breath slowly through your right nostril, retain this breath for 2-5 seconds and exhale it slowly through the right nostril only. Repeat such 11 cycles.
3. After this, close your right nostril with the help of your right Anguthaa [thumb] and inhale the breath slowly through your left nostril, retain this breath for 2-5 seconds. Then, close the left nostril with the TARJANEE [INDEX FINGER] of the right palm, open the right nostril by lifting the ANGUUTHAA from the right nostril and exhale the retained breath through the right nostril. Hold this breath outside for 1-5 seconds. Keep your left nostril closed, inhale the breath slowly through your right nostril, retain this breath for 2-5 seconds and then close the right nostril with the ANGUUTHAA of the right palm, open the left nostril by lifting the TARJANEE [INDEX FINGER] of the right palm from the left nostril and exhale the retained breath through the left nostril. This process is one cycle. Repeat such 11 cycles.
The ‘PRAANNA SHODHANA KREYAA' warms up the physical body and makes it ready to receive the application of the NAABHEBRHAMAANDA KREYAA comfortably.
[B] The Concept of the NAABHEBRHAMAANDA KREYAA:
1. The word ‘SHAKTE' means the POWER or the FORCE. The word ‘BRHAMAANDA' means the UNIVERSE.
2. Here, the power of the PRAANNA is used to integrate the life-forces of both the NAABHE [Navel] and the BRHAMAANDA [Skull/brain] areas.
3. After having completed the AAde Shankaraachaarya's NAADEE SHODHANA KREYAA, remain in the relaxed Sidhaasana position for 2-5 minutes, inhaling and exhaling the breath from both the nostrils slowly. Then, take the breath in from both the nostrils slowly with the stomach expanding/bulging, close your left nostril with the help of the right Tarjanee and close your right nostril with the help of the right Anguutha simultaneously, retain this inhaled breath in the stomach for 2-5 seconds, open both of your nostrils by removing the right Tarjanee from the left nostril and the right Anguthaa from the right nostril and then exhale it CHANTING the word ‘A-U-M'. This is one cycle. Do such 11 cycles.
While doing the above Kreyaa, you will feel the pressure on your tummy, hips and the curve area on your waist. During the exhaling, you will feel the tummy trying to meet your spinal chord with the breast/chest moving up and outward besides the curve area on both sides of the waist stretching inwardly-up in a curvilinear way. Also, you will feel the vibrations of the word A -U-M travelling from the lower part of your body to the upper part of your body. This vibration and the slow pressure makes your this Tummy-Hips-Curve area flexible.
4. Now, take the breath in from both the nostrils slowly with the chest/breast lifting up and expanding/bulging, close your left nostril with the help of the right Tarjanee and close your right nostril with the help of the right Anguutha simultaneously, retain this inhaled breath in the BRAHAMAANDA [skull/brain] area for 2-5 seconds, open both of your nostrils by removing the right Tarjanee from the left nostril and the right Anguthaa from the right nostril and then exhale it. This is one cycle. Do such 11 cycles.
While doing the above Kreyaa, you will feel the upward and the outward pressure on your breast/chest, stretching of the abdomen and the curve area on your waist. During the inhaling, you will feel the tummy trying to meet your spinal chord with the breast/chest moving up and outward besides the curve area on both sides of the waist stretching inwardly-up in a curvilinear way. This slow pressure/stretching makes your this Breast/Chest-Abdomen-Curve area flexible.
The Perceptible Benefits of the SHAKTEBRHAMAANDA KREYAA:
1. The Praannas/life force becomes clean/purified.
2. It helps get a lot of the Karmic load burnt/deleted.
3. It makes the Maanav [human] body flexible.
4. Above all, it does help the ladies to get that figure and curvilinear body that they desire so much in their fantasy.
The Essential/Desired Precautions:
1. Do this Kreyaa under the guidance of some really fully competent Yoga instructor/master/expert/guru only.
2. Those having undergone surgeries and those with brittle/weak bones/hyper-tension need not do this Kreyaa.
3. This Kreyaa must be done on an empty stomach only.
4. Your both eyes must remain closed throughout this Kreyaa.
5. This Kreyaa must be done preferably only when you are totally physically fresh and relaxed.
6. The inhaling and the exhaling of the breath must be done absolutely slowly and with patience.
7. Don't stretch up/out your breast/chest beyond the optimum level, as there always is the danger of the breast/chest tissues getting ruptured if it is done unsafely.
8. Do take care of your food regimen. Don't eat any solid food for 30 minutes at least, after having done this Kreyaa. Eat any solid food only after having taken in some amount of water. Young adults and children enjoy a level of flexibility that most adults can only dream of. Unfortunately, many of the exercise programs designed for children do not allow them to fully explore their physical skills. Yoga presents kids with a chance for them to use this natural flexibility to their advantage. Yoga helps children not only to improve physical strength, but also to build self-esteem, concentration skills, and social interaction skills.
Kids are encouraged to explore and discover the relation between mind and body in a fun-filled way through Yoga. Learning Yoga can be a fun and creative. It is very helpful for kids as their bodies are still developing. The use of animated poses and basic stretching and breathing exercises promotes strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control.
Exercising can improve concentration and focus, stimulate the child's imagination and help to release energy in a fun and safe environment.
Yoga therapy for kids also promotes inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem. It creates a feeling of well-being, respect and love for others and the self. As you may know, yoga is an ancient form of meditation from India. The word, yoga comes from the Sanskrit language, and means to yoke or unite the body, mind, and spirit. One type of Yoga is Kundalini Yoga. It focuses on strong breathing and dynamic exercise and is suitable for children because of their active minds and bodies.

"In November 2008, as I was looking at the "Grotto" (community space) of Sports Basement, a light bulb went on. And, I began to ponder over the idea of using Sports Basement's community space to serve the yoga community.
So to get the ball rolling, I began to teach free yoga classes each Sunday at Sports Basement. A month later, I organized the first yoga teacher schedule, began the internet promotions, and then watched the students arrive.
Since that time, the seed has blossomed. And, Sports Basement has applied my initial concept to their other store locations.
And now, I would just like to express my thanks & gratitude to all the yoga students who have attended & all the yoga teachers who have supported the idea of "free yoga Sundays" - making yoga accessible to every individual regardless of financial status.
