How Weed Won the West: A Film By Kevin Booth

In the follow-up to his ground-breaking documentary ‘American Drug War,’ filmmaker Kevin Booth traces the fight against Federal drug regulation in the State of California. A public majority has spoken and said yes to states rights, allowing for the use of medicinal marijuana and opening up a new front in controversial medicinal ‘dispensaries.’

While users herald the freedom of legally-licensed “weed,” powerful forces at the DEA and law enforcement haven’t given up their federal enforcement power yet. Many dispensaries have been raided, targeting their distribution of marijuana and challenging their authority to rise into legitimate business.

In the backdrop of this public dispute is the Dark Alliance– where governments handle the volume of drug trafficking and work with cartels and drug dealers to manage the drug flow. Just like the prohibition of alcohol, drugs have thrived on their illicit appeal, and doomed millions of non-violent offenders to incarceration and prosecution. Now, those swearing by the healing power of medicinal marijuana as well as those who simply refuse to be outlawed by a hypocritical rogue government are daring to stand up and declare that the violence, corruption and uncontrolled flow of drugs is due to the prohibition of the substance, not the substance itself.

Big Pharma has put millions of non-”drug” users on hallucinogenic prescription drugs and instituted new forms of addiction and dependency, challenging our outdated notions that is only “illegal” drugs doing harm to our people.

The State of California, in a key position to assert its 10th Amendment rights under the Constitution, has pushed the issue to a tipping point. The bankrupt government hopes to capitalize on taxation of a legal and prosperous marijuana trade that could, ironically, fight off big government and offer free humanity new hope. Whether or not you love or loathe marijuana or the drug culture, everyone needs to fight for a more peaceful solution to the drug dilemma. How can we best manage the reality of drug use and minimize the harm to individuals and society at large? Clearly seventy years plus has proven that the drug war has the wrong approach.

In How Weed Won the West, filmmaker Kevin Booth dares to tackle these difficult questions. He infiltrates psuedo-legal California growers, investigates DEA raids on licensed dispensaries and even undertakes to sample the disputed ‘medicine’ for himself. THE FIVE THAT STAND AGAINST ALL AMERICANS, THE “MAFIA” JUDGES

Five members of the Supreme Court declared that a “corporation” is a person, not a “regular person” but one above all natural laws, subject to no God, no moral code but one with unlimited power over our lives, a power awarded by judges who seem themselves as grand inquisitors in an meant to hunt down all heretics who fail to serve their god, the god of money.

Their ruling has made it legal for foreign controlled corporations to flush unlimited money into our bloated political system to further corrupt something none of us trust and most of us fear. The “corporation/person” that the 5 judges, the “neo-con” purists, have turned the United States over to isn’t even American. Our corporations, especially since our economic meltdown are owned by China, Russia and the oil sheiks along with a few foreign banks. They don’t vote, pay taxes, fight in wars, need dental care, breathe air, drive cars or send children to school. Anyone who thinks these things are people is insane. Anyone who would sell our government to them is a criminal and belongs in prison. There is nothing in the Constitution that makes this “gang of five” bribe sucking clowns above the law. There is nothing in the Constitution that even mentions corporations much less gives them status equal to or greater than the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government.

The Supreme Court of the United States has no right to breathe human life into investment groups owned by terrorist sympathizers, foreign arms dealers or groups working for the downfall of the United States and everything we believe in, but 5 “justices” have done just that. We now have a new government above our government, above our people, one above any law. Five judges have created institutionalized gangsterism as the new form of government for the United States.

No American soldier can ever go to war fighting for a Chinese hedge fund, a German bank or a Saudi Arabian fertilizer company. Will our new debates in Congress be between members representing the opium warlords against the Columbian cartels? Their cash, which long ago has infiltrated one major corporation or bank after another is now heading for your local representative. How important do you think secure borders for America are for these new policial “influencers?”

For years we complained about AIPAC, the Sierra Club, the NRA, trial lawyers, trade unions, NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) and the churches that got involved in politics. Behind all of these were people, American citizens, and, on some occasions, Americans who fought for their country, raised kids here and were invested in the survival of America although they didn’t always act that way. This was an American problem. Now we aren’t even sure we have an America anymore.

Anyone who believes that a massive flood of corporate money into politics won’t throw control of both houses of Congress into the hands of the wealthy nations that are also our primary strategic enemies, you know the ones, the ones loaded with oil cash, the ones with 10 cent an hour labor and legal systems that shoot first and ask questions later. They just were told they can buy the United States, not just our government, but our military, and the lives of our soldiers. They can now make our laws, raise our taxes, decide on our civil rights, where we can live, if we can own guns, how late we stay up, where and what we drive and, eventually, how we think. The Supreme Court has given foreign owned corporations the eventual power to silence us all.

When a corporation commits a crime, nobody goes to jail. When wars come, they don’t fight, they simply rake in cash.

One With Courage... Is A Majority! Will You Stop the Tank of Tyrrany?

The Chinese people went to Tian'anmen (Gate of Heavenly Peace) Square by the hundreds of thousands. They did not know what would happen to them, to their families and yet they came. They protested and fought for their liberty in a country that has rarely seen any. When the soldiers came with their guns and batons they argued their case and pleaded with the soldiers to defend the people. After all, they were brothers and sons and fathers of the very same people they had been ordered to oppress. All they knew is they wanted rights and liberties. They wanted to be free. Then, the massacre began and still they shouted as they ran and dodged bullets. All the while, others were dropping around them. How could their own countrymen attack them? The worst was yet to come. The tanks are spotted heading towards the crowds. One single man with courage walked up to the front tank and blocked it's path. The driver tried to steer around the man but the man persisted. This man walks up to the tank and climbs aboard. He talks to the soldiers aboard the tank and gives them a gift. As the man climbs down there is movement in the tank. The tank tries to maneuver around the man and again he gets in the tanks way. Several soldiers come outside and talk with him and he instructs them to turn the tanks around. Soldiers and citizens were all moved by the courage of this one man. Sadly, China is still under a Communist government.

Do we need to have tanks rolling down the streets before we notice the signs of tyranny? Our jobs are disappearing, the dollar is shrinking like new jeans in the dryer. You have been robbed of your grandchildrens' tax money by the Federal Reserve and Timothy Geithner. Your government wants to monitor your every move and even scan your brain for your thoughts. Is it apathy that keeps you from making a move? The Chinese people came unarmed to fight an armed army. In this country all we need to do is make some noise and demand some answers. What is stopping the American people? Where is your voice? All of the signs of fascism beating on our door but where is the outrage? The latest bombing...it looks like rogue elements of the government were involved. The killing of 7 CIA agents, done by a CIA triple agent, so they're saying. 9/11....the facts are adding up in favor of inside job. Stand up people, before it's too late. Remember, if we wait for one person to stand for everyone once the tank is rolling it's already too late. The time is now to make your voice heard. Tell Obama We make the rules and We want open government, no more lobbyists, no more corruption, no more lies and WE WANT OUR MONEY AND OUR COUNTRY BACK! We must demand change now or we've lost the country our ancestors worked so hard to build. Please let your voice be heard and make a difference now!
