At the Augmented Reality Event 2010 in Santa Clara, I got a chance to get an early copy of Retinex, an AR comic book from the folks over at SpiralConcepts and permission to make a short video showing some of its features. The comic has a good story and an interesting take on augmented reality. The story and art is created by 3Satva. Mighty optical illusions shows off a classic visual trick caused by a mix of a black and white photo with the colour negative image. Basically as the two images flicker between each other, you start to see a slight colour version of the image. In this case it's the terrifying picture of Christian Bale in American Psycho.
