Logos - Holiday and Events – Google style!
Over the years, doodles on the Google homepage have made searching on Google more fun and enjoyable for its users worldwide. When doodles were first created, nobody had anticipated how popular and integral they would become to the Google search experience. Nowadays, many users excitedly anticipate the release of each new doodle and some even collect them!
Doodles are known as the decorative changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists and scientists. Whether it is the beginning of Spring, Albert Einstein's birthday, or the 50th anniversary of understanding DNA, the doodle team never fails to find artistic ways to celebrate these unique events.
Having a little bit of fun with the corporate logo by redesigning it from time to time is unheard of at many companies but at Google, it is a part of the brand. While the doodle is primarily a fun way for the company to recognize events and notable people, it also illustrates the creative and innovative personality of the company itself.
How did the idea for doodles originate?

So how does the annual event Burning Man relate with the invention of the Doodle 4 Google? Google Doodle was not intended. It just happened. Before leaving for the Burning Man, Larry and Sergey were struck with an idea to tell their users somehow that where they were. Larry and Sergey designed the Google Doodle, where they incorporated the rendering of the man in the second ‘o’ of Google. That doodle said the following: ” Yes, We’re all at Burning Man “.
Subsequent Google Doodles were designed by an outside contractor, until Larry and Sergey asked then-intern Dennis Hwang to design a logo for Bastille Day in 2000.yepper,.........they DO ! Doodle History a ' c u r r e n t ' -... more

Inspired by seventies lace and Jane Birkin, Emma Watson has teamed up with Alberta Ferretti to design Pure Threads, a new eco-friendly fashion line.
Pure Threads, which debuts this week, is a capsule collection of five pieces: two dresses, one shirt, a long, flowing skirt and denim short, all detailed with feminine lace. Each piece is crafted from eco-friendly materials, such as cotton muslin and hemp, and a portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to People Tree, a company that creates organic, fair-trade clothing while supporting the vitality of farmers and artisans around the world.
Not only is each piece in the collection crafted from eco-friendly materials, they’re also all packaged in eco-friendly materials. As Watson told WWD, “I believe this is a big step forward for all of the international fashion industry, but also an important step for an increased sensitivity to the problem of ecology.”
While I’m not usually into seventies-inspired collections, Pure Threads has a simple elegance that belies any missteps into a crochet-covered hot mess. Each piece is infinitely wearable, too, with soft, gauzy, slightly modest shapes that don’t bunch and pull, no matter what your proportions.
The capsule collection is on sale exclusively at Alberta Ferretti. To stay updated on the evolution of Pure Threads, sign up for their newsletter.

EcoSkin is one of the brands that introduced me to eco-friendly fashion. Not eco-friendly clothing – but “fashion” because there is nothing “granola” about their designs. They make what I call “Missionary Dresses” – dresses that will get compliments, and when you say “Oh, thanks! It’s actually ethical/eco-friendly/organic/make of light and kisses!”, you will officially have converted whoever is around you into an ethical fashion believer.

As if musicians needed another reason to drink, now they can write their beer purchases off as a business expense. Tuned Pale Ale, the brainspawn of Philadelphia design engineers Matt Braun and Christopher Mufalli, may only appear to be a six-pack of beer, but upon closer investigation one notices lines on the label indicating pitches in the key of C (white piano keys).
The general idea is to drink the beer to the level of the pitch you’re seeking, and since both music and beer is generally more fun in groups, you can have your friends drink to different pitches so you can generate some harmony.
