We honestly figured someone like Nikki Finke would be breaking this before us (and our source was a little surprised as well), but she's been a little AWOL of late which leaves the door open.
Sources and friends close to the project tells us that Paul Greengrass has quit "Bourne 4" and walked away from the project. This actually happened more than a week ago, and we've been getting our ducks in a row before publishing this report (and again, we're shocked Finke or the Wrap didn't get wind of this yet and way before us).

So. Variety's Todd McCarthy and Newsweek's David Ansen have gone ahead and ignored a studio-imposed embargo and reviewed Clint Eastwood's Invictus , which opens in less than two weeks. This breach of etiquette—perpetrated by old-media types, who were supposed to be good for such courtesies, yet!—of course has much of the film blogosphere in a huff, and Jeffrey Wells has gone and posted something like four different sort-of considerations of Invictus in the wake of said breach.

Clint Eastwood's latest film has all the hallmarks of an Oscar winner. Heavy-weight director, an underdog story of sporting triumph and two figures from history trying to bridge racial divides.
The story follows Mandela's attempts to unite a struggling South Africa under the nation's rugby team as they host the 1995 world cup. Morgan Freeman plays the former President of the rainbow nation and Matt Damon becomes the Springbok's captain Francois Pienaar - complete with dodgy SA accent - this guy's been taking notes from Leo DiCaprio.
