How do you make a Toyota Camry Hybrid even more green? Rip out the conventional gasoline tank and replace it with ultra clean burning compressed natural gas (CNG). If you think cellphones have become overbearingly complex, look away now. A partnership of tech companies and content providers, known as the ng Connect Program, has revealed a prototype "LTE Connected Car," which, as you might surmise, combines 4G mobile broadband connectivity with a bunch of cloud-sourced facilities, such as video on demand, audio libraries, and multiplayer gaming. It can also serve as a Wi-Fi hotspot, connect directly to home automation or monitoring systems, and probably cook you scrambled eggs if you ask nicely. A Toyota Prius serves as the guinea pig for this new concept.
Put a Toyota truck and an XBox in a blender and you have this concept vehicle, designed by Toyota and Microsoft.
Equipped with a Monster energey drink dispenser and a Warthog from Halo, the award winning Toyota Tacoma All-Terrain Gamer (ATG) concept truck is all about a different gaming experience, as Toyota Marketing planner, David Williams, explains:
"We've taken the idea of what would it be like to take an off-road vehicle and still be able to play your favorite video games in remote locations."
Toyota has created two flower species that absorb nitrogen oxides and take heat out of the atmosphere. The flowers, derivatives of the cherry sage plant and the gardenia, were specially developed for the grounds of Toyota's Prius plant in Toyota City, Japan. The sage derivative's leaves have unique characteristics that absorb harmful gases, while the gardenia's leaves create water vapour in the air, reducing the surface temperature of the factory surrounds and, therefore, reducing the energy needed for cooling, in turn producing less carbon dioxide (CO2).

Sure, there are entertainment and communications systems in cars...they're called radios.
But in the all-new Ford Taurus that concept is taken to extraordinary new heights with voice-activated SYNC technology. In addition to playing your music and making your calls, the newest version of SYNC can automatically alert you to closed roads and give you an alternate route -- all hands-free.

Dirty Job’s Mike Rowe recently visited the Chicago Ford Assembly plant to see first-hand how the all-new Ford Taurus is setting the new standard in quality engineering. Watch as Mike learns about the state-of-the-art technology Ford uses – like DC tooling drivers with computerized monitoring – to insure each bolt is secured properly to provide consumers with the best car yet.
Say goodbye to the blind spot. The 2010 Ford Taurus features the patented Blind Spot Information System that uses radar technology to sense other cars where you can’t see them. When moving vehicles drive into the Taurus’ blind spots, a warning light blinks in the side view mirror and helps you avoid a common accident.

Toyota Motor Corp. plans to recall about 95,700 vehicles sold in the cold-weather areas of the U.S. because of possible brake problems.
(Shwiff, K., 2009, August 26, par.1)
The recall affects 2009 and 2010 Toyota Corollas and Corolla Matrixes and 2008 and 2009 Scion xDs, all equipped with 1.8-liter engines. The Japanese auto giant said it found that at extremely low temperatures, moisture from a ventilation port may seep into the brake system and freeze, leading to braking problems.

On Monday, Toyota recalled nearly 700,000 cars in China because of faulty window-control systems -- its largest recall in that country and one that risks tarnishing the company's image.
