NFL Over/Under Season Win Totals-Mike Rodriguez
This is the Over and Under odds for team wins in the 2009 season. For those who don’t know, the numbers next to the win totals are the payouts as far as what you need to put up in order to place the bet. For example to bet on the Patriots to win Over 11.5 wins next year, you would have to put up $120 to win $100 (Over -120). If the odds are a positive number then it works the opposite way; for example to bet the Titans to not win more than 9.5 games next year (Under +120) you would win $120 on a $100 bet. It’s always easier to use a $100 bet to figure out how much you would need to bet, but is not required as a minimum to place a bet.NFL Over/Under Season Win Totals-Mike Rodriguez

Maurice Jones-Drew - After losing veteran Fred Taylor to the Patriots in free agency, the power running game in Jacksonville looked bleak. The O-line was in shambles, putting even more pressure on April’s NFL draft class, but the Jags struck gold drafting two offensive linemen on day one (Eugene Monroe & Eben Britton), both of whom were steals. Teamed up with seasoned veteran Tra Thomas who was signed in free agency, the Jaguars have rebuilt their offensive unit. This new line will create time in the passing game and holes in the running game, making Jones-Drew our first must have fantasy player of 2009. We’re not saying Jones-Drew is a top 5 pick, but I wouldn’t be pissed off getting him in the bottom of the first round.
Sleeper: RB Rashad Jennings - A late round steal by the Jags that could help the running game by picking up those tough short yards. Jennings will not get the same amount of carries as Fred Taylor did, but at 6’1”, 230 lbs, he will definitelyStock Rising

Grading The Draft: AFC WEST
Oakland Raiders
1(7) WR Darrius Heyward-Bey- Where do we begin; this pick may haunt the Raiders for years. Gridiron Experts would like to go on record and say that Heyward-Bey will be the next Troy Williamson or Ted Ginn Jr. Al Davis needs to allow his coaches to make the decisions, as his love for speed is destroying the Raiders. Heyward Bey will have more pressure on him than any other player in the draft. If he can overlook the fact that Raider fans wanted Crabtree and just go out and play, then his future could be great in OaGrading The Draft: AFC WEST

This is the time of year where legends are made. It's the time where dreams are fulfilled and nightmares are created. This is when the true-grit of an NFL team becomes more important than their overall talent, where fans of any of those teams still playing get their fair share of inside information, and where almost every sports story is surrounding an angle on a playoff matchup...or not...This is the time of year where legends are made. There must be some sort of gamesmanship going on behind the scenes in Oakland. The off-season comes too soon once again for the Raider Nation. The play-offs just aren't the play-offs when the Silver and Black are not involved. Just when you thought the Raiders couldn't have any more drama until the end of the season, James Cregg called head coach Tom Cable and told him where he could stick the offensive line coach position for the Raiders. Randy Moss and Lamont Jordan come to Oakland to face the Raiders for the first time since both packed their bags and took the cross-country trip to New England to become Patriots. Volquest.com is reporting that former Oakland Raiders head coach, Lane Kiffin, has been tapped as the new head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. The official announcement isn't expected until Monday. While this comes as no surprise to many close to Kiffin or to fans of the silver and black, Tennessee is probably not the destination that many had pegged for the former Raiders and USC Trojans coach. Even before his public plank-walking forced by Al Davis, Kiffin had been rumored to be the leader for the opening at Syracuse, to replace the firing of former Chiefs and Broncos defensive coordinator, Greg Robinson. Ironically, the Orange hail from Davis' alma mater, which is the reason we told you in this space that it would never happen....Volquest.com is reporting that former Oakland Raiders head coach, Lane Kiffin, has... more

The Oakland Raiders haven't allowed themselves to become complacent even after winning convincingly in Denver last Sunday. They are still working at getting better and are making the types of moves that we here at TFDS have been begging for since the last off-season. While it may be a little late for the Raiders to get that impact diamond in the rough at this point in-season, they've already proven that it's not impossible to find guys to step in and make real contributions to the team....The Oakland Raiders haven't allowed themselves to become complacent even after winning... more

What kind of advice do you give a team that appears divided? Tell them to call Dr. Phil? The Oakland Raiders are a team, and an organization, in crisis. In other words, there are far more important issues they need to tend to before figuring out how to win a game. In the NFL, teams don't call in sick, players do. Tom Cable and the Raiders coaching staff is going to have to keep the players from 'calling in' this Sunday when they face the Carolina Panthers....What kind of advice do you give a team that appears divided? As a fan of the Raiders, without considering the cap ramifications or the impending doom that it would cause, you'd have to be just fine with the Raiders releasing overpriced players who have failed to produce or lead this year. I admit, I first heard of this possibility from one of our avid readers here at TFDS, and my response was the following:...As a fan of the Raiders, without considering the cap ramifications or the impending... more

After another Raider debacle at home yesterday, a solemn JaMarcus Russell sat behind a myriad of microphones doing his best to answer the questions from the unyielding press corps.
