• Third Prize: Whichever prize package hasn’t been selected by the second prize winner (either the VIP NASCAR Race Package or the VIP Indy Racing League Package);
• Fourth Prize: Transportation Efficiency Package: A set of 4 Michelin Energy Saver All Season Tires (or comparable tires for the winner’s vehicle), one-year AAA membership, and two Silver Spoke League of American Bicyclists memberships.

Giants Despair Hillclimb is held just outside of Wilkes-Barre, PA, in Laurel Run Borough on East Northampton St. This community has been host to this event since it was first held in 1906. It is one of the oldest continuing motor racing events in the world. The Giant is rich in tradition. In its early years, all of the world’s major manufacturers sent their top cars and drivers to capture honors at the event. Early notables included Ralph DePalma (Fiat Team) and Louis Chevrolet driving for Buick. Rejuvenated in 1951, the list of Who’s Who in the driving world included Carroll Shelby (first driver to brake the magic minute), Roger Penske, Oscar Koveleski, etc. The hill starts out with a long gently rising straight about one quarter mile in length that leads into a fast left hander that tests both nerves and skill. Then on to a short chute and "Devils Elbow," a sharply rising hairpin that goes off camber at its crest. Next is a series of ninety-degree turns connected by short straights. Then comes "The Incline," a meandering quarter mile stretch that rises at twenty- two degrees to the finish.Giants Despair Hillclimb is held just outside of Wilkes-Barre, PA, in Laurel Run... more

This year there are more than 10 LeMon races scheduled all over the US.

Carl Edwards flips into the retaining fence headed to the checkered flag. He was leading at the time, but when pressured for the lead, Carl attempted a block and was bumped by Brad Keselowski which sent him across the top of Ryan Newman's car and careening toward the fans. Luckily the retaining fence and all other safety measures worked very well and only seven people suffered minor injuries. This could have been much worse. Check around 4:18 to see the fence do its job. Amazing.
After the wreck, some other weird things happened. Carl emerged from his car, which was on fire, and ran across the finish line, a-la Ricky Bobby. Also, Keselowski's mentor, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. congratulated Brad on his finish by bumping him, after which Keselowski turned right and across the front of Kyle Busch's car, which spun Keselowski out.

For his Senior thesis film, Lucas and 13 other film students produced an eight-minute-long short called 1:42:08 (also known as 1:42:08: A Man and His Car). The dialog-free film follows racing driver Peter Brock as he takes a Lotus 23 through Willow Springs Raceway at full-throttle.
