This is a serious question and it's one I don't think the recording industry can answer by suing the crap out of file-sharers. I doubt this is really the death of the major labels but it should serve as a wake up call. It's time to 1) focus more on the music, not just the bottom line and 2) shift business models and think about how to survive in the current situation (as opposed to just sitting around suing your rapidly dwindling customers).

Some of the music industrys biggest names are considering offering their music free online following the success of the experiment by the band Radiohead to let fans download their new album without charge.
Now Jamiroquai and Oasis, two major names that are not contracted to a record labels, are rumoured to be considering following Radiohead by offering work for free, according to industry sources.
