It should be good news when the U.S. captures the highest ranking leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Khaled Abdul-Fattah Dwoud Mahmoud al-Mashhadani. Instead, it turns into a we-told-you-so as military officials tout evidence that al-Mashhadani had been in contact with the Al Qaeda big dogs - bin Laden, al-Zawahi, al-Masri etc. - to silence critics who thought the connection was trumped up to justify invading Iraq.
