EYE OPENING!
Just saw it last night at Monterey, California's restored Golden State Theater where my father watched films as a child 70 years ago.
I highly recommend the movie "Fuel". Josh Tickell and the movie "Fuel" do a great job of entertainingly informing us about alternatives to crude oil, and how corruption in government has compromised our country, our way of life, our standard of living our security in the world, our future and our planet. Even my son Kevin thought it was Awesome!
I must say, it was under promoted. It's such a good production and the information so relevant and important, I am surprised the film doesn't have broad mainstream distribution. Then again, because of it's inflammatory nature in the eyes of big oil that is, I guess I'm not surprised.
I highly recommend it to anyone. It's on par with the best films of it's type, such as "Super Size Me", "Who Killed The Electric Car" and Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth".
What really blew me away was that we can make fuel from algae.

SAN JOSE, CA (KGO) -- About a year ago, CEO's in Silicon Valley challenged one another to start driving electric. On the eve of a huge conference in San Jose, high tech leaders say the plug-in movement is well underway.
Last week Tom Hayse was getting 40 miles a gallon driving his hybrid Prius. That was before his plug-in conversion and a lithium battery packed in the back.
"With the plug-in hybrid, I'm getting actually getting close to 80 miles a gallon, so I'm pretty happy with that."
Tom is one of 30 Silicon Valley CEO's and community leaders who have pledged to be part of what they call the 'plug-in revolution'.
"If only ten percent of the million or so Prius owners converted their cars like we're doing, the price of the battery conversion would come down," says Sass Somekh, Ph.D of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is encouraging support for the New Mexico Rail Runner Express, currently serving communities between Belen and Bernalillo with stops in downtown Alberquerque, New Mexico, and adjacent communities. The project is planned to extend service and new track towards the state capitol in Santa Fe. This extension of service is expected to be in operation by late 2008, and should be a great addition for commuters and tourists alike. Although Amtrak offers rail service on the Southwest Chief route between Albuquerque and Lamy -- the nearest community to Santa Fe -- the Rail Runner will offer a direct commuter connection between the two cities and also offer an alternative to an increasingly congested highway on the I-25 corridor.New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is encouraging support for the New Mexico Rail... more

Are bio fuels the wave of the future or just a bizarre fad that will fizzle out? Take a look at some people who run their vehicles on 100% vegetable oil -- from a farm in Colorado, to the deserts of New Mexico to the owner of a new business in LA who converts cars to run on fast food leftovers. Are bio fuels the wave of the future or just a bizarre fad that will fizzle out?
