Obama Administration: "The War on Terror Officially Over." So Why does the Police State Continue?

The war on terror now exists solely as a war against U.S. citizens.

Recently, the Obama State Department officially declared the "War on Terror" to be over. This should mean that the threat of a terrorist attack against America either at home or abroad has become so miniscule that it poses no further concern for the Federal government. Yet, the Obama Administration was seemingly concerned enough about Terrorism as of 12/11 that the President signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act which gives the US military the power to detain US citizens for indefinite periods, literally shoot anyone who is even suspected of anti-government activity that is uncooperative, and arrest those who have anti-government opinions such as speaking out against the Gestapo-like tactics used by the TSA each time anyone wishes to fly a commercial airline, for example.

President Obama was also seemingly concerned enough about terrorism to use his executive powers to implement the National Defense Resources Preparedness Act into law, March 16, 2012, which gives him the right to seize control over all public and private entities in the country, literally when he deems todo so.

Such fascist laws as the Patriot Act which give the Federal government the right to spy on its own citizens in the form of telephone taps, scrutinizing all bank accounts, the monitoring all internet usage by everyone, recording travel by all and produced the TSA is as alive today as it ever was, shortly after 9-11.

Other freedom killing bills such as SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), PIPA (Protect IP Act), ACTA (Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agreement), and CISPA (Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act) that have sprung up of late are all directed at spying on American citizens and keeping tabs on our personal lives.

Today, in every town and municipality in the US, there are cameras at every street corner and most are equipped with microphones while recording every conversation going on by anyone within range of them.

American society today gives new meaning to George Orwell's book 1984 and even goes far beyond the book's big brother scenario.

If the War on Terror is officially over as we are told it is, there shouldn't be a need for any of this but, the Federal government's desire to spy on us and know everything about our every move has drastically increased just since January of this year. Thus, proving that it is the citizens of the US that the Federal Government is interested in and not international terrorists. We have become the enemies of the state in the eyes of the Federal Government.

The US Federal government fears its own citizens, because it is afraid that massive riots and civil unrest will erupt at any given time when the people realize they have been taken for idiots by their own government....

Traveller Says TSA Told Him, "GO TO HELLLLLLL"

[UPDATE BELOW] Want to file a complaint against the TSA? No problemo, just fill out this simple form with the handwritten instructions to "GO TO HELLLLLL" (and be sure to eat sh*t and die)! Manhattan-based graphic designer Ross Berenson, 26, arrived at JFK on a JetBlue flight from LA yesterday to find that his luggage had been tampered with. And when he went to ask the TSA what happened, he says they gave him a form essentially urging him to cast himself off into eternal hellfire.

Berenson says he knew something was a tad askew when he noticed his bag was missing his "TSA-certified" bright green lock. "That's like my tag to know which bag is mine," he tells us. "I have flown with this lock for years and never had an issue. I then examine my bag and I noticed that the loops on my zippers were cut. I was pretty annoyed then." JetBlue referred Berenson to the appropriate TSA reps. "I'm a pretty calm person," he elaborates. "It's not the end of the world, it's just luggage."

He insists his exchange with the TSA workers was perfectly civil. "Nobody could give me any answers about what happened in LA, but they very politely told me if I wanted to file a complaint I could fill out this form," says Berenson. "Everyone was very helpful and nice. I didn't realize the form said 'Go to hell' until I got on the subway. I'm pretty laid back, but seeing an official form like this say 'Go to hell' is pretty shocking." A TSA spokesperson tells us they're looking into the incident.

Berenson also claims that the form—including the personalized "GO TO HELLLL" instruction—is definitely a photocopy, which means there could be more of these hellish forms floating around out there. Of course, it's also possible he made the whole thing up and tweeted about it as some sort of elaborate P.R. revenge plot against the TSA, but let's face it, this isn't the first time TSA workers have raised eyebrows with personalized notes.

Drones Move Closer to Flying in Civilian Airspace

Drone aircraft moved closer to taking flight in U.S. civilian airspace as regulators issued a call for advice on establishing test sites.

The Federal Aviation Administration said today it wants drone makers and the public to comment on where to locate proving grounds and their management, according to a filing in the U.S. Federal Register’s Public Inspection Desk.

“Unmanned aircraft can help us meet a number of challenges, from spotting wildfires to assessing natural disasters,” Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said in a statement. “These test sites will help us ensure that our high safety standards are maintained as the use of these aircraft becomes more widespread.”

Drones have been used to kill terrorists and assist U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and manufacturers have pushed the government to allow greater domestic use for law enforcement and businesses. The unmanned aircraft, as large as a commercial jet or as small as a hummingbird, are made by companies including Boeing Co. (BA) subsidiary Insitu and AeroVironment Inc. (AVAV) of Monrovia, California.

The FAA must establish test sites where drones can fly among manned aircraft by the end of June, under a provision of a defense bill signed into law Dec. 31.
FAA Spending

Similar language was contained in a law passed last month authorizing spending at the FAA. The measure ordered the agency to complete a “comprehensive plan” on how to integrate unmanned flights into the aviation system by Sept. 30, 2015.

To fly throughout the skies, drones must be capable of sensing when they get too close to other aircraft and avoid collisions -- just as pilots are required to do. While firms develop needed technology, the FAA has yet to set criteria for its operation.

The FAA later this year is scheduled to release its first set of rules allowing commercial operators to fly small drones without having to obtain special permits, according to the agency’s statement.
