You know that roommate who gets an iPhone, and brags about this "great peice of technology" but he only ever uses it for stupid crap like cats playing piano?
It's that with a time machine.
Oh, and it's an homage to Primer, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, The Terminator, Back the the Future (1 and 3 only) and any other time travel movie (except for Back to the Future 2)

It's no secret that for the second installment of Back to the Future, they re-shot the beginning. The main reason was that Elisabeth Shue took over the character of Jennifer replacing Claudia Wells who had played the part in the original. Anyone know why she was replaced? Was Shue just a more famous actress or was there some other reason? I've always wondered that.
Anyway, this short but great video shows the same closing / opening scene of the movie from the end of Part I and the beginning of Part II. They got most of it right but there's the odd movement, camera change or line delivered slightly before of after it was in the original. This always bugged me when I watched it as I always seemed to notice when it was different. Then again, I've had the luxury of watching the original time and time again (no idea how many times!)....It's no secret that for the second installment of Back to the Future, they re-shot the... more

So I didn’t have my usual camera, I thought I was using one better. But that was just not the case, so my shots didn’t turn out as well as I wanted, but I feel I caught a bunch of good cosplay. As an added bonus, I went and check out some other peoples albums and found there was many more characters I didn’t see, check out their sites for even more Mini-MegaCon picture sets. All right, let’s get right to it, check out the pictures here: http://www.bingegamer.net/2009/mini-megacon-2009-cosplay-pictures/So I didn’t have my usual camera, I thought I was using one better. Robert Zemeckis is brokering a deal with Disney and Apple Corp. to remake Yellow Submarine with 3D motion capture technology.
Disney is currently working on “a complicated rights deal” that would clear 16 Beatles tunes for use in the film. The Back to the Future director actually started out with a homage to the Beatles "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" so it will be very interesting to see what he produces at this stage of his career.

Charity shop Oxfam (not to be confused with the Oxo family, don't ask!) will be selling the Arctic Monkeys' new single alongside brown corduroy trousers, paisley shirts and ghastly blouses.
The single will be in 7" vinyl format - which is kinda like a CD but less shiny. For those that don't know what a CD is, it's the shiny thing that looks like a DVD but only plays music.Charity shop Oxfam (not to be confused with the Oxo family, don't ask!) will be... more

After Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released, a new pop culture term was coined. Nuke The Fridge is a reference to the film’s opening scene (possible spoilers if you haven’t seen it) where Indiana Jones finds himself on a Nuclear test site and hides in a refrigerator to survive the atomic blast.
But did you know that Back to the Future almost Nuked The Fridge almost 25 years earlier?
In the original draft of Back To The Future, Marty McFly worked for Professor Brown, who was a movie bootlegger and the time machine was a laser device that was housed in a room. In the story’s climax, the device was attached to a refrigerator, and taken to the Nevada desert test site for the atomic bomb, where it was strapped into the back of a truck and driven into the atomic explosion in order to harness the power from the nuclear explosion. Marty had to climb into the fridge as the truck barreled towards ground zero. After Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released, a new pop... more

Honestly, I'm not a huge trainer fan. I don't go to New York in search of new sneeks, I don't ensure that they are all presented, in box, along my bedroom floor, and I don't particularly mind if they are clean, dirty or falling apart. BUT, I do think that these shoes are cool. Now all I need is that hoverboard I ordered for Xmas in '92.
Who would get a pair?

In a 2007 edition of Cool Stuff, we profiled a wedding cake that featured the bride and groom on top of a DeLorean time machine. If you read the site regularly, you probably know I’m obsessed with Back to the Future. Yes, I own a hoverboard (don’t ask if it actually hovers), a flux capacitor, among many other geekarific tributes to the original film. I can’t imagine that many Brides would allow their Grooms to order a Back to the Future-inspired wedding cake. In fact, I thought the cake at the above link was going to be the only one I’d ever see. But another cake has emerged. In a 2007 edition of Cool Stuff, we profiled a wedding cake that featured the bride... more

We all remember the awesome pair of Nike shoes Marty Mcfly wore in Back To The Future II. They had a self locking lace system, they lit up, and they were just gangster. There was even an online petition for them to be retro’d that got a hell of a lot of signatures.
I was recently sent these pictures from an undisclosed source, and I immediately went and matched them up to the originals from the film. Although they look very similar, it’s clear they are not the same exact shoe. The only thing I can gather from this is that they may be a Nike prototype/sample which hopefully will see the light of release day at some point in the future. Even if only in extremely limited quantities, this would be absolutely amazing. We all remember the awesome pair of Nike shoes Marty Mcfly wore in Back To The Future... more
