It took me a simple Google search:
1) I typed in "faux news"
2) I clicked the Timeline option
3) The result showed a significant increase in the term being used over time starting in 2001
This comforts me because I believe Fox News has had a profoundly negative impact on Americans. Although I believe MSNBC is also biased to some extent, it doesn't come close to the emotionally charged, fear-mongering, cynical tactics of Fox News. Most people who watch Fox News seem to not question the information they are given by their news provider. I think democrats more often take each individual story from their news providers into consideration rather than believe everything they are told whether or not their news providers lean to the left.

Since the healthcare reform bill passed the House with the Stupak-Pitts amendment intact on Saturday night, feminists have been up in arms about the latest assault on access to abortion, and so-called progressive men have been telling us to calm down and look at the big picture. In other words: same old, same old. In an e-mail, our own Rebecca Traister summed up the ongoing conflict between those who prioritize women's rights and those who see them as a bargaining chip to be traded away as necessary:
This is the argument made over and over again: If the repro rights activists would just stop agitating about the pro-life Dems, we could get majorities, and things would improve for women and men everywhere. I get that argument. Most days, I believe it. And then I wake up to a Democratic majority that will only pass progressive healthcare legislation if it includes antiabortion provisions.
These trade-offs build on each other. Stupak did not happen in a vacuum. It's part of a larger cycle. Is this the moment to stand up and say "no"? How could I say it is, especially when I am all too aware that if pro-choice Democrats were to revolt over this issue, they would be vilified and further alienated from a party that already allows the erosion of reproductive rights? We choose to play nice, our party trades on our freedoms. We choose to object, our party resents and blames us for failure. It's not exactly a bright set of options for anyone who has gotten into this quandary simply because they fervently believe that the rights of half the population to control its own reproduction are fundamental to full and equal participation in our democracy.
The problem is, there is never a good time to stand up and say "no," because the fear is always that we'll lose whatever ground we've gained.

We must admit that Italian politics has made some real miracles. Berlusconi certainly didn't keep his historic promise to create one million jobs, now Italy just lost at least one million, but he did a miracle for sure. He manages to stay in power for years with the sole purpose of defending his private interests, doing absolutely nothing useful for the country. Even the Italian left has made its miracle. We must admit that Italian politics has made some real miracles. Berlusconi certainly... more

"The Obama Deception Full Length" = EXTREME RIGHT-WING PROPAGANDA VIDEO
WARNING!!!!! The last 15 Minutes is EXTREME RIGHT WING And Could be offensive to most people.
It is Very Shocking to believe that the group that made this video, openly compare President Obama to Adolf Hitler and Stalin... and show President Kennedy getting his head blown off. This is not with good intentions! The people that made this movie are sick and twisted and want to excite violence... With a desire that one of their "nut case brethren will step up to the task"
I feel that this video's true intent not to educate. But, is clearly to incite violence against President Obama, and that is Criminal !
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS VIDEO?
.
My Review:
First:
The premiss is very Interesting. The History about Wall Street and our Government that is very informative. I liked when they talked about this part... But that's, unfortunately where it ends. It is soon followed by right-wing chest pounding self-serving extreme Right Wing Agenda.
Second:
The Washington DC Hotel location where the Bilderberg Commission meeting was held started interestingly but, soon fell apart also. The footage was way over dramatized with the smell of reality-show with Ballon-Boy type stupidity. Only a Right-Wing believer would drink that Koolade... For those with deductive reasoning they would see as amateur over-done and stupid.
From: 1/4- 3/4 into the Video:
It was difficult to get beyond the over-use of the word "REPUBLIC" used 96 times.
"Still, there is some very interesting subject matter here about "Wall Street" International banking and how this content fits together with all players involved in this bailout meltdown mess. "
I WANTED TO KNOW MORE, But the message was clouded by their right-wing agenda. As photos of the bombed Federal Building in Oklahoma City played in a NRA response to any loss of their much loved weapons... As if is a threat or in planting a seed before the Obama Administration take all their guns away! These are super paranoid Right-Wing Delusions, from a group of people blinded by their very own mono thinking.
My Conclusion: Very Interesting history lesson intended to covert the non Right-Wing. But, was spoiled by their own Flawed Message and over-all Paranoid Right-Wing Political Militant Thinking!
THEY NEED TO REMEMBER, THAT EVERYTHING IN OTHER PEOPLES EYES IS NOT ONLY ABOUT... BEING A "REPUBLIC".
> AFTER LOSING THE ELECTION: IT IS NOW ALL ABOUT DEMOCRACY!
WARNING!!! THE LAST 15 MINUTES OF THIS VIDEO IS TOTAL "SICK" RIGHT-WING FANTASY & PROPAGANDA.
I FIND THEIR CONCLUTION & SOLUTION, SHOCKING:
This video is NOT Free Speech. This fringe group that made this video are comparing "President Obama" to Adolf Hitler and Stalin and then... show President Kennedy getting his head blown off? This was produced with very bad intentions in mind!!!= Showing this movie to any other twisted nut-case: Timothy McVeigh want-a-be... could have VERY VERY UGLY RESULTS!!! But this is the message here... AS I also assume that it is intention of the authors and makers of this Video!!!
BECAUSE OF THAT MESSAGE, THIS IS A DANGEROUS VIDEO !!!! Which is now being sent everywhere.
WE SHOULD ALL BE AWARE... WHAT THESE RIGHT-WING EXTREMISTS ARE UP TOO... AND MORE IMPORTANTLY... OPEN OUR EYES TO WATCH THEM ALL VERY CLOSELY!
Because, this video is a call to excite VIOLENCE and, more!! In my opinion they have crossed the legal and moral line! I am all for free speech, but, this isn't free speech anymore!!! This is much more than yelling fire in a crowded movie theatre! This video is asking for some NUT CASE out there to commit Violence ! "That is Criminal ".
WATCH IT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF AND SEE HOW CRAZY THESE "WELL ARMED"... PEOPLE REALLY ARE.
OPEN YOUR EYES...TO SEE HOW FAR THEY WILL GO, TO STEAL... OUR DEMOCRACY
SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE... THEIR REPUBLIC.

As chairperson and ranking member of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee (MILCON) from 2001 through the end of 2005, Feinstein supervised the appropriation of billions of dollars a year for specific military construction projects. Two defense contractors whose interests were largely controlled by her husband, financier Richard C. Blum, benefited from decisions made by Feinstein as leader of this powerful subcommittee.

There IS no "progressive" wing of the Democratic Party, and there never has been. It's a sham. Let's just do a quick tally of bills that Feinstein and the majority of the Democratic party have supported:
-PATRIOT Act
-Iraq War Authorization
-Military Commissions Act
-Telecom Immunity
and so on, and so on. Obama voted for the last two, and voted to re-authorize the PATRIOT Act to boot. And don't get me started on Afghanistan.

In a move that seems designed to push Sen. Kent Conrad (D-ND) on health care reform, the North Dakota Democratic Party voted two weeks ago to make the public option for insurance coverage a stated objective of its platform.
At a little-noticed policy committee meeting on September 19, state Democratic officials passed a resolution affirming their commitment to "universal single payer health care legislation." As a fallback option, the resolution read, the officials supported the creation of a government-run plan for insurance.
In an effort to apply the pressure to their representatives in Congress, the party also sent letters to the offices of Democratic Sens. Kent Conrad and Byron Dorgan, as well as Rep. Earl Porneroy, alerting them to the passed resolution.
The letter from Joe Aronson, executive director of the North Dakota Democrats, reads as follows:
On April 4, 2008, the Democratic-NPL Party met in Grand Forks for its biennial State Convention. During the Convention, the party adopted a platform and resolutions... Under the 'National' Issues' heading, item number 27, the party called 'upon Congress to enact universal single payer health care legislation.' I write to remind the delegation that this is your state party's official position on healthcare reform.
The resolution adopted by the Policy Committee on September 19, 2009, included an amendment that authorized me to request that if you do not support the party's official 2008 resolution preference, we would respectfully ask that you consider support a 'public option'
On behalf of the Democratic-NPL Party, I thank you for your consideration.
A member of the North Dakota Democratic Party said that the resolution was a statement of principle on health care reform that reflected the overwhelming consensus among Democrats in the state. "No one voted against it," said Chad Nodland, who sits on the executive committee for the state party. "And by the end of the meeting there were probably 60 to 75 people still there."
But the resolution also seems like a clear effort to exert pressure on North Dakota's congressional delegation. Conrad remains one of the highest-profile holdouts on the public option, insisting that the provision does not have the votes to pass the Senate and makes for bad policy. His obstinacy is frustrating Democrats in his home state.
"I don't understand the votes that have gone on," said Nodland, in reference to the debate in the Senate Finance Committee. "What I'm saying is, I can't put together what I've watched with what has been explained to me. I'm frustrated. I wish that what we were seeing were different [from Conrad] than what we've been seeing."
This is the second time that state party Democrats have put the pressure on a senior senator from that state to back the public option. This past weekend, the Nebraska Democratic Party passed a resolution making the provision a part of their platform -- in a vote that seemed designed to serve notice to Sen. Ben Nelson, (D-Neb.)

The Nebraska Democratic Party put the state's senior senator, Ben Nelson, in an awkward spot on Saturday by passing a resolution making support for a government-run insurance option a central aspect of its platform.
In a nearly unanimous vote at a committee meeting in Fort Omaha Metro Community College, about 70 attendees approved language that urges members of Congress "to vote for such health care reform proposals that contain a robust public option at all stages of the legislative process including conference and reconciliation, and encourage legislators to pass such reform."
Nelson remains one of the highest-profiled U.S. Senate Democratic holdouts on the public plan, even recently declining to commit to voting against a Republican filibuster of legislation that included the provision.
Officials at the Nebraska Democratic Party said the committee vote was not meant as a rebuke of the senator, who has historically taken a conservative approach to public policy issues. More an encouragement to all Democratic state legislators.
"Let's put it this way," said Vic Covalt, State Chair of the state party. "The Nebraska Democratic Party is a big tent party and Ben Nelson is a good Democrat. We believe he will represent us well.
"Sen. Nelson represents the entire state of Nebraska and he is going to do the best he can to do," he added. "The Nebraska Democratic Party is obviously a little bit to the pro-public option side of Ben. Though I'm not sure because I'm not sure where he is at."
Only one of the committee members opposed the resolution, which accuses the "healthcare insurance industry and their allies" of organizing and funding efforts to kill the public plan or pass compromise health care reform. And the Nebraska Democratic Party deliberately put into the final language a pledge to "send a copy of this resolution to all members of Congress who represent any of our members."
"[The provision] is popular with the Democrats in the state because we believe without it the bill could too easily become a welfare program for the insurance industry," said Covalt. The argument supporters made was that without the public plan, "basically we end up subsidizing insurance companies and hurting taxpayers who don't have coverage."
BELOW IS A COPY OF THE RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, the heath care system of the United States is in crisis, with almost fifty million Americans lacking any health insurance, tens of millions more lacking adequate coverage, and millions more who do have private coverage paying increasingly unaffordable premiums, resulting in inadequate access to care and premature death, illness, or financial ruin for millions of Americans; and
WHEREAS, public polls show that a majority of Americans want health care reform to offer the choice of a robust public option in order to inject real competition into the marketplace and, in the words of President Obama, "keep the insurance companies honest:" and
WHEREAS, some in the healthcare insurance industry and their allies have organized and funded groups of extremists to disrupt efforts on the part of the majority and administration to discuss the issue with the American people reasonably, and have demonstrated an unwillingness to compromise in any way to pass meaningful health care reform;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Nebraska Democratic Party urge our members of Congress to vote for such health care reform proposals that contain a robust public option at all stages of the legislative process including conference and reconciliation, and encourage legislators to pass such reform;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Nebraska Democratic Party shall send a copy of this resolution to all members of Congress who represent any of our members.

Rep. Joe Wilson's (R-S.C.) untoward outburst Wednesday night has had a positive effect for at least one person. Rob Miller, a Democrat planning to run against Wilson in 2010, has taken in more than $100,000 through the website ActBlue.com since his opponent heckled the president.
About half the money has come from Daily Kos readers through a group called "Defeating the man who yelled 'liar' at Obama."
Miller ran against Wilson in 2008; National Journal called it the congressman's "first serious challenge." A retired Marine and an Iraq veteran, Miller ran without any help from national Democrats as a social conservative and critic of the Bush administration. During that campaign, he blogged for the Huffington Post about his reasons for running:
I never thought I would run for Congress -- or feel like I had to. I have always thought of myself as a Marine. I started thinking that way not long after my father died when I was 14 years old. Since I enlisted at the age of 20, the Marine Corps has been my extended family and I couldn't imagine that would ever change.
But it did after my second tour of duty in Iraq -- where I fought to maintain the peace, but also to enable Iraqis to build better schools, improved hospitals, to help create jobs and, where possible, a stable economy and civil society.
When I returned home to my wife and six year old son, I saw that the politicians in Washington were not fighting for these same things at home. Worse, the congressman who represented the second district where I live -- Rep. Joe Wilson -- was part of that elite circle of George Bush loyalists who chose to enact a radical agenda, never mind the lives and wellbeing of the constituents he was pledged to represent. If the spirit moves you, you can make that even higher by clicking below:... more

We debate back and forth the merits of Democrats vs Republicans, Liberalism vs Conservatives, right vs left and so on. We articulate our positions with erudite, cogent facts and extreme partisan rhetoric - hell we even get a little nasty and down right personal at times. But you've got to go a long, long way to come off as asinine, ridiculous and feckless as this clown Glenn Beck and if any part of your argument includes ANYTHING coming from this fool just consider your point lost, your cause defeated and your time and keystrokes wasted. You have to see this to truly believe it and if you watch it and don't get it - THE FIRST TIME. PLAYING THE HEALTH CARE GAME...
We have all watched in amazement as the defaced photos of President Obama as Hitler held by wild eye'd crazy people screaming loudly with no more of a purpose than to disrupt and to stop the Democratic process. These loud mouth antagonists following their seemingly well distrubuted scripts of Anarchy 101. These people who now claim, to be Blue Dog Democrats or, independents etc.. All also claim to be only wanting a different type of health-care reform? When the truth is self evident by any person that would quickly choose a sign of Hitler and swastikas' to taunt as if these evil signs and symbols had something remotely to do with health care. By their own professed actions they show more to be the apostles of the extremist far right locked in "goose-step" with others like them across the country... following the lead of organizations like: NEWSMAX and Christopher Ruddy, Rush Limbaugh's along with the other hate screaming Neocons and Fascists. It seems rather amazing as after eight years at the helm with Bush, leaving the country on it's knees ruined. Now these over-caffeinated and angry losers, who only want democracy- Only if "they win", are at it again!
We need not forget ~ That some of our goose-stepping colleagues have been assigned to be here.
You can hear some of their voices here among us everyday. They are on a mission... Their own mission to instigate hatred, conflict, discord to disrupt the process and ultimately to destroy Democratic process.
You might ask... Why would they do that? Because, A Democracy is not a "Republic".
You hear their voices twisting the honest need by real people for Obama's Health Care Reform as an "Evil Socialist Plot" to take over the country and the government. These people are deliberately trying to push everyones buttons to cause, a riot and revolt between each other. They want that!!! The truth is, they are nothing more than a group of people with their own agenda that has less to do with Health Care.... and more about their own twisted political beliefs. = > To them.... IT IS ONLY ABOUT THEM!
They want to disrupt this political process by yelling "FIRE" in a crowded movie theatre!
SO NOW.... LETS TALK ABOUT THE REAL ISSUES HERE...
"HEALTH CARE and THE MILKING OF THE CASH COW! "
FIRST.... IT IS NOT ABOUT HEALTH CARE: It is all it about MONEY!
The Huge Money that flows into all these MEGA BUSINESSES. Business like; BlueCross, Blue Sheild and all of the other major health care insurance companies. This is all about keeping that money coming into their pockets! This is huge money!!!! BILLIONS!!!! That these industries are making EVERYDAY, EVERY HOUR, EVERY SECOND. All coming from the wallets and the backs of the hard working people across America.
"ALL THEIR DISCUSSION ABOUT HEALTH CARE THIS IS ONLY ABOUT KEEPING THAT MONEY FLOWING INTO THEIR POCKETS!!!! "
The Obama Health Care Reform Plan, when passed will stop that cash flow and their Milking of the "Cash Cow" and that damages their bottom Line! >> THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT!
(2) IT IS NOT ABOUT THE QUALITY OF HEALTH CARE:
Every one of these Paid Government elected Politicians are lying through their teeth about how bad Government run Healthcare is . Because All of them have "Government Run Healthcare" themselves. (AND THEY ALL LOVE IT !)
(3) WAKEUP!!!
Health Insurance Companies have been bleeding all of us with as much money as they can get from our pockets !
(4) THE HEALTH CARE INDUSTRIES ARE ADDICTED THAT MONEY:
They are addicted to that cash flow like a drug. Like any addict or Junky... they will: LIE, CHEAT and, STEAL in order to continue that cash flow and keep that (MONEY/DRUG) coming in.
What we are all witnessing on all media everyday are these Addicts doing everything and anything to continue to protect their overcharging of population by Billions and Trillions of Dollars !!!
THAT IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT !PLAYING THE HEALTH CARE GAME...

If you met a man who said he would like to "transform" or "remake" his wife, would you conclude that he: a) thought very highly of his wife and loved her? Or b) held his wife in rather low esteem and therefore found living her rather difficult?
The answer is obvious: Those who wish to remake anything (or anyone) do not think highly of the person or thing they wish to remake.
Little is as revealing of Barack Obama's and the Left's view of America than their use of the words "transform" and "remake" when applied to what they most want to do to America.
I among others pointed this out during the presidential campaign when Barack Obama frequently promised he would "transform America." That is why those of us attuned to the importance of words and who hold America in high esteem were so worried about an Obama election.
Americans on the Left frequently attack critics for labeling them "unpatriotic" and/or accusing them of not loving America. The first charge is false is to the best of my knowledge. I have searched in vain for an instance of a normative conservative or Republican spokesman calling Democrats or liberals "unpatriotic."
The second, however, is a more complex question.
It is not an attack on the left to say that their own rhetoric suggests that they love a vision of America considerably more than they love the reality of America; that they love what America could be rather than what it is. Otherwise, how to explain this liberal vocabulary of "remaking" and "transforming" America. You don't yearn to transform or remake that which you love.
Many years ago, the prominent Jewish writer, my friend since childhood, Rabbi Joseph Telushkin, helped to clarify — in a non-partisan way — a major difference between liberals and conservatives. "Conservatives," he said, "romanticize the past; liberals romanticize the future."
The romanticizing of the future has been a distinguishing characteristic of the Left since Karl Marx. Leftist ideologies have secular eschatologies. The further left one goes the greater the belief in revolution, the need to overthrow the contemporary order. That is why Marx so hated religion — he and Engels saw it as the "opiate of the masses" because religion, in their view, taught people how to deal with their (abject) condition rather than to become revolutionaries. But one day -- one great day — "all men will be brothers" in the stirring words of the revolutionary song that ends Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
The problem is that compared with such a future utopia, no actual society could possibly compete. Certainly not racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, unequal America.
In light of those frequently made criticisms of America, I have often asked representatives of the Left why they criticize America so much if they love it so much. "Precisely because we love America, we criticize it. You criticize that which you love," is the nearly universal response.
But, of course, it isn't true. If you constantly criticize your spouse, for example, it is difficult to imagine that you really do love him or her. And perhaps more important, it is very unlikely that your spouse feels loved. That is why after being routinely described as racist, sexist, imperialist, etc., it is difficult to be able to tell that America is loved by the Left.
This is not written in order to indict the Left, let alone the President, for not loving America. No one can measure another's feelings. Furthermore I do not question the sincerity of anyone who says he loves America. What I question are the actions and rhetoric of those who claim to love America yet want to transform and remake it.By Dennis Prager

WASHINGTON - Determined to advance President Barack Obama's health care agenda, key Senate Democrats are calling for a government-run insurance option to compete with private plans, as well as a $750-per-worker annual fee on larger companies that do not offer coverage to employees.
In a letter outlining the details, Sens. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., and Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., said their revised plan would cost dramatically less than an earlier, incomplete proposal, and help show the way toward coverage for 97 percent of all Americans.
The two senators said the Congressional Budget Office put the cost of the proposal at $611.4 billion over 10 years, down from $1 trillion two weeks ago. The revising also "virtually eliminates" an earlier forecast that the proposal would cause many companies to drop coverage for their workers, they said.
The total cost of legislation will rise considerably once provisions are added to subsidy health insurance for the poor through Medicaid and physician reimbursement increases under Medicare. Those are under the jurisdiction of the Senate Finance Committee, where lawmakers have said they want to hold the overall price tag to $1 trillion or less.
Kennedy and Dodd wrote members of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on Wednesday. They disclosed their plans as Congress neared the end of a July 4 vacation, and with lawmakers expected to turn quickly to health care legislation when they return to the Capitol.
The Health Committee could meet as soon as next week to complete its version of the bill, and the presence of a government health insurance option virtually assures a party-line vote.

The Minnesota Supreme Court on Tuesday declared Democrat Al Franken the winner of a tight U.S. Senate race over Republican Norm Coleman, which should give Democrats the 60-seat majority they need to overcome procedural obstacles and push through their agenda.
Coleman has said in published reports he is unlikely to appeal the state court's decision to the federal courts. Under state law, the court's decision gives Franken the right to occupy the seat, which has been up for grabs since last November's election.
Minnesota Republican Governor Tim Pawlenty has said he will certify the election winner based on what the state court decides.
If the decision holds up, Democrats will control 60 of the 100 Senate seats -- enough to overcome Republican procedural roadblocks in a clear boost to President Barack Obama's agenda. The Minnesota Supreme Court on Tuesday declared Democrat Al Franken the winner of a... more
