It is estimated around 150 people were on the flight which officials now confirm all on board died due to the crash. Earlier rescuers tried to find survivors at the crash site, which is a hillside north of Islamabad. There were mixed reports on survivors (later stated as untrue) and on the radio experts said efforts of rescue were difficult because of the terrain on the hillside.
"Anjum Rahman, a journalist with Express 24/7 television in Islamabad, said she saw the plane flying over the rooftops of houses where she lives.
"I wondered why the plane wasn't flying higher as it was flying towards the hill. Then within three or four minutes I heard a loud explosion," she told the channel.

This week headlines across the United States screamed that new home sales in the U.S. had declined to the lowest level since the U.S. government began keeping track in 1963. But in the news stories covering this data in the mainstream media, they were always very careful to give their readers lots of reasons why things are going to "get back to normal" very soon. But the truth is that is simply not going to happen. Right now the United States is heading for another real estate crash. The only thing that has been holding it back was the huge bribe (called a tax credit) that the U.S. government was giving people to buy houses. Now that the tax credit has expired, there is no artificial incentive to buy homes and the real estate market has fallen through the floor. Unfortunately, there is every indication that things are going to get even worse. This week headlines across the United States screamed that new home sales in the U.S.... more

Red Bull's claims that it improves performance, concentration, reaction time and emotional status are all BS.
June 18, 2010 |
"Red Bull gives you wings," Earth's most popular energy drink by market share promises in its commercials. Well, Icarus had kickass wings. Remember what happened to him? Crash and burn, baby.
What Red Bull does give you is crazy amounts of caffeine compressed into a tiny can of hope. Conjoined with its various sponsorships of similarly extreme events like Formula One racing, air shows, outdoor action sports and much more, Red Bull's overheating marketing arms have major global reach. It has deeply penetrated popular culture, down to its soccer stadiums and sex-fueled clubs, where the drink is popularly mixed with vodka and other alcohol standbys. In the process, Red Bull has helped create a race of hyperspeeding robots annually swallowing over a billion cans of Red Bull, only to crash and burn shortly afterward. At which point, they drink it again to wake up, and restart their seriously stressed engines.
"The main ingredient of concern in Red Bull is the caffeine," David Schardt, senior nutritionist for Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), explained to AlterNet. "It can interfere with sleep, and people can quickly become dependent on it and suffer withdrawal symptoms like drowsiness, irritability and more if they don't get a regular dose. More than 200mg of caffeine can increase the risk of miscarriage. And young adults who consume both an energy drink and alcohol are more likely to get hurt in accidents than if they just drank alcohol. Probably because they don't realize how impaired they are."
Ironically, that impairment is central to Red Bull's allure and power. According to the company, its drink is specifically designed for hard-partiers in search of warm oblivion, as well as those suffering from occupational and summary other anxieties.
"Red Bull has always been and always will be more than just a hot secret for the night owl and the non-stop party-animal," the energy drink's official site trumpets. "It is appreciated by a wide range of people, such as the overworked taxi driver, the stressed manager, the exam-anxious student and the pressured journalist."
As a professionally pressured journalist, I can attest to the power of caffeine. As can the postmodern hordes that have swelled the reputations and earnings reports of market-moving Wall Street knockouts like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Starbucks and so on. Based on the Thai energy drink Krating Daeng and gentrified by Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz, Red Bull's global profile has lately been placed alongside those storied, culturally accepted drug pushers. But our collective reliance on increasing doses of caffeinated fixes like Red Bull and other so-called energy drinks -- mixed with sex, drugs, alcohol and exhaustion -- is turning us into a race of at-all-cost winners that just can't help but lose where it counts most. Our bodies.
"They're the uppers of the new generation," argued Katherine Tallmadge, spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association and author of Diet Simple. "People are taking them like speed," she told AlterNet by phone. "But too much caffeine makes you jittery, raises your blood pressure, and there are consequences for your heart. If you're young and you're tired all the time, you should look at that from a medical or nutritiional point of view, and see what you're missing. When we're eating healthy, getting rest and pursuing physical activity, we have all the energy we need."Red Bull's claims that it improves performance, concentration, reaction time and... more

It's a great plan for a wedding day, you rent a Ferrari Testarossa and smoothly drive around Northern Italy to arrive in style for the reception in Treviso. However, for this couple the £500 rented Ferrari could turn into a £60,000 repair cost plus £50 in damages. They already put forward a £20,000 insurance deposit.
"after going just a few yards in the supercar - which does 0-60 in under six seconds - the groom swerved off the road straight into a traffic light, virtually writing off the luxury motor[...]they probably won't be getting any change from it," said one police officer "-MetroIt's a great plan for a wedding day, you rent a Ferrari Testarossa and smoothly... more

Bee keepers sometimes transport their hives via truck, and for the sake of wanting to drive a car ever again, you hope nothing bad happens to that truck.
Though in Minnesota a four car crash involved a truck carrying 7,000 bee hives, when trying to save people injured in the crash the emergency crews were stung by escaped bees.

TAX WEALTH
Taxing wealth will be a fair correction to the unfair tax system that taxes income and ignores wealth. The stock market crash of 1929 occurred not because of some plan to tax wealth, but because of the absence of a tax on wealth. A yearly 100% tax on personal wealth that exceeds $1 million could be easily done with the help of hi-tech communication and information systems (it is not redistribution, it is a wealth tax).
Capitalism is a very dynamic socioeconomic system. The instability of capitalism springs from the disparity of wealth due to the capitalist reward system. It is a myth that the stock market raises capital for investments. Most of the daily trading is of existing shares, not newly issued ones. However, one thing that the financial market does very well is that it concentrates wealth. Steady, well-paying jobs will livable wages are disappearing faster than they will be created. Most jobs are either temporary or part-time with low wages. But with low wages comes low consumer spending because consumption is linked to demand. “Capital returns go up and work wages go down – it is a destructive combination”. For 85% of taxpayers, whose pre-tax incomes hovers between $8,500 and $48,000, their chances of becoming millionaires are remote. Therefore, for their own economic well-being and their own self-interest, they must demand a tax on wealth and an end to income taxes. Those with obscene wealth and their hired defenders will claim that capital will fly and that will be the end for savings and investments. Capital always flies to safe havens, to places where interests are high. The US taxes very lightly on capital gains but has one of the lowest rates of savings and investments. The claim that with too much money around, inflation will hit the roof ignores the fact that science and technology is making it possible for supply to always meet demands. And those who argue that if wealth is taxed there will be no incentive to work can’t explain why income tax payers keep working and paying taxes.
Democrats and Republicans (DEMREPS) do not have a solution for the growing rift between the rich and poor because of their compromise to maintain the status quo at all costs; for this reason, the US congress will not pass legislation to tax wealth. They prefer to tax income, borrow money from the wealthy and pay them interest with your income taxes (upwards redistribution of income from ordinary taxpayers to rich bond-holders). Are you apprehensive? Let’s say your personal wealth is $4 million before filing your personal wealth tax declaration form. You can dispose of the $3 million taxable amount any way you like. Or on request; the IRS will give you a personal loan up to $3 million at 10% annual interest. Do you own and/or supervise a multimillion dollar enterprise? Assign yourself any amount of money as your supervisory fees (income not taxable).
The only rational and sensible way to solve the problem of obscene wealth and indirectly generate a booming economy is by implementing the USA economic agenda. The agenda does not conflict with globalization. It can also be applicable to other developing economies. The USA economic agenda is the answer to the next great depression: too many laborers and less need for labor, in need of cash, but broke, in debt and no chance of default; prospects for a profitable war down to zero and an exhausted Federal Reserve expertise of creating money out of thin air.
Make the US a silent partner of corporate America.
Money only does good when you spread it around.

“Guys, this is probably the craziest I have seen it down here ever.” Here it is, memorialized for the generations and away from the now openly ridiculous disinformation propaganda of the mainstream media, just what a full market meltdown panic sounds like: straight from the epicenter, the S&P 500 pits. Luckily open outcry still exists, if at least for shock value. Fat finger my ass.
Here is a first hand account of the most shocking 15 minutes in recent market history:

A landslide has derailed a train in northern Italy, killing at least seven people and injuring 25 others.
The accident occurred in a mountain valley near the winter sports town of Merano, close to the Austrian border.
The front wagon was left hanging over a river and firefighters used cables to prevent the train from plunging into a river below, reports said.
Initial investigations suggest a ruptured irrigation system had soaked the mountain slope, making it unstable.
