This scene is awesome! They look like two models in a fashion shoot, and that swan seems to be somewhat coy, but also pretty flattered. Everything in this photograph works so gorgeously: the contrast, the depth of field, the composition, the coquettish expression. Very elegant.

Thanks to the efforts of volunteers with the Trumpeter Swan Restoration project, the endangered Trumpeter Swan, Cygnus buccinator, population in Ontario, Canada now numbers over 1,000. This video shows the three species of swan on Swan Lake, and shows how the birds are tagged so they can be individually tracked. The seven-year-old bird was rushed to an RSPCA animal centre after being found with a crossbow bolt through its neck at a park in Liverpool.
While treating him, vets also found pellets from different guns under his skin and evidence of other attacks
