Obama no longer re-election favorite

Gee, after almost 3 years Pres. Obama says he's "not going to wait" for the Republicans. Though he is still looking for Republicans that are "straight shooters" and who will "put country ahead of party". I think that boat sailed long ago - and sank. Yeah, he campaigns great, but his governing style has been more about compromise than leading.
Oh, and apparently he's going to push forward on infrastructure projects that will put people back to work. Wow, what a wild and crazy idea!
I have to give him credit for going right up to the people he's left hanging out to dry giving this speech to the Unions after not "putting on" his comfortable shoes when he could have demonstrated his solidarity with the workers of this country.
I'm not one of those folks who is mad at him for not getting everthing I want, as he previous insulting stance had been. I'm one of those folks who voted for someone who would fight for the right causes - win or lose and only compromise on those things for which compromise is appropriate. That's why I'm becoming apathetic.
Many of us said it before, when he caved on extending the tax breaks for the richest of us, it was a breaking straw. The camel's back fractured severely.
While Bush et al worked hard to craft the imperial presidency, he's being the compromiser-in-chief, and not a very good one at that: "You want my shirt so you won't get burned in the desert sun. Take my water as well!" He's lack of leadership is making the presidency irrelevant. He couldn't get crap done with BOTH Houses of Congress (Reid needs to let someone else lead - he left Pelosi's hard work lay in the road and get run over). I'm now thinking, it doesn't matter who the president is. We need to focus on getting smart fighters in the Senate and the Congress who will work for the country helping a PROGRESSIVE president or overriding a regressive one.
