In this "4th and Forever" Overtime exclusive, senior running back Jeremiah shows his loyalty to Long Beach Poly by getting a Jackrabbit tattoo. He talks his way through his decision process, and explains why he wants to have the Long Beach Poly Jack Rabbit as his first piece of body art.
"4th and Forever" chronicles the 2010 football season of Long Beach Polytechnic High School, touted by Sports Illustrated as the "Sports School of the Century" and boasts the largest roster of high school players who have gone on to the NFL. After decades of success, Poly had a down year in 2009. They had their worst season in 15 years and lost to local rival Lakewood for the first time in over 25 years. After years of being pegged as "the team to beat," the aura of invincibility is gone. The players are worried that their hopes for a college scholarship have dimmed. The clock is ticking and the question is: Can Head Football Coach Raul Lara pull the team together for one more season of greatness? And, can the players avoid the temptations of the street, succeed in the classroom, and emerge victorious on the field?
Tune in Thursdays at 9/8c for all-new episodes of "4th and Forever."

The Demoiselles talks a lot about body image: what we look like, how society and the media want us to feel about it, and why we should all ignore that crap and choose to love every curve, angle, blemish and hair on our bodies anyway.
However, because our brains process every small detail, especially when we’re judging those details by the harsh light of fashion magazines ruled by a Photoshop Autocracy, we often get stuck on our body image, and even subsets of our body image. We pick apart our faces – our symmetry, our noses, our jawlines and skin tone – and wonder at the sharpness of our collarbones, the lift of our breasts, even the proportion of our calf muscles.
And, especially as teenagers, we wonder about our vaginas.
Ladies, you know what I mean. Is my mound too hairy? Are my inner labia the right color; are they too big? Is my clitoris normal-looking; do I get wet enough; does it…smell okay?
I don’t know a single girl that, after watching standard pornography for the first time (Playboy, Spice, etc.), didn’t ask herself these questions (along with a hundred more about her breasts, body hair and how the hell one person can stay in that position for so long). I’m surprised I haven’t heard the phrase "pussy image" before.
Being a curious, anatomy-lovin’ lady with a penchant for sexual freedom and LGBT support, I know a bit about gender reassignment and, therefore, a fair amount about genital plastic surgery. That knowledge led me to learn about labioplasty, vaginaplasty, and a whole host of other genital plastic surgery sometimes performed after childbirth but more often for aesthetic and/or sexual reasons…but I can always learn more.
With that in mind, I went searching...

So, last week, I nearly gave myself a panic attack over getting a part of my ear pierced. Meanwhile, this guy put an ear in his arm. For art. Australian artist Stelarc had an idea to share what he heard on a daily basis with people around the world. So, as logic would lead him, he put an ear in his arm. Insert Van Gogh joke here.
If you’re wondering if this is an actual human ear underneath the surface of Stelarc’s arm, I can assure you that it’s not. It’s a non-organic “biomaterial” structure shaped like an ear, but Stelarc’s own cells will form the ear around it. And no, that is not more normal than an actual human ear being shoved into a dude’s arm. After a year, he will have a microphone inserted inside the arm-ear, which will be hooked up to a transmitter that will make available everything “heard” by the arm-ear 24 hours a day. Great.
“It isn’t for my benefit”, he said at the launch of the Kinetica Art Fair in London. “I have two perfectly good ears, but to explore the idea of me becoming an acoustic device for other people.”
No, Stelarc. It’s not for your benefit. Especially since you nearly lost your arm to an infection. But mostly because everyone listening to what your arm-ear hears will hear not only everything you hear, but everything you do. I hope it has an off-button for, um, private moments.

Tattoo Jew is a documentary about Jewish people who get tattoos in the context of religious prohibition, family disapproval, the Holocaust as a cultural memory, and the idea that they will not be buried in a Jewish cemetery. Tattoo Jew reads between the lines of what it means to be Jewish. This original project covers new ground and enhances what we know about who we are and how we express our individuality.
Tattoo Jew examines the growing trend of Jewish people with tattoos within the context of religion, culture and history. This is not your parents’ Judaism. Tattoo Jew reveals a new Jewishness, a unique place where traditional Judaism meets tattoo culture. In interviews conducted across the United States, a variety of interesting subjects convey a deep passion, a sense of humor, and a strong connection to Jewish roots.
This documentary looks at a new way in which being Jewish is cool, hip, and relevant. The tattoos not only represent a connection to Jewish culture, they are a stylish and beautiful representation of a growing aesthetic for the expression of Jewishness. Written or drawn permanently on the skin, these tattoos are the intersection of personal adornment, cultural and political expression, and a unique twist on personal identity in our highly individualistic American culture.
Tattoos expressing Jewishness create a clever balance between old and new. The language and icons of Jewish culture are turned on their head while retaining their significance and meaning. Tattoo Jew highlights interesting conversations that chronicle a contemporary dialogue about making sense of religion in a modern world, about battling anti-Semitism, and about remembering the past while looking to a new future.
Tattoo Jew is written, produced, and directed by Andy Abrams; and photographed and co-produced by Justin Dawson.

The best thing about being an amputee? Your chance to rock some seriously cool tats, that's what!
I've been fortunate enough not to have any external part of my body chopped off*. However, if I ever were to lose an arm or a leg (or anything else in between), I'd get me something along the lines of one of these.
If you can't hide it, make it a feature!

Gavin Paslow, a 39 year old security guard from Kent, swindled benefit money to fund operations to make himself look more like the Devil - complete with fangs, a forked tongue and horns.
Paslow has changed his name to Diablo Delenfer (or devil from the inferno) and said he needed to carry out 'body modifications' to look more like Lucifer.
He's pleaded guilty to 7 offences after defrauding the government of £3,552 in housing, council tax and income support benefits.
Paslow said: 'It was a stupid mistake and I'm really sorry. I'm paying it all back. I really regret it. But I'm pleased with my look so far, but what I really want is a tail. And not just a synthetic one - a proper, organic tail.'
He says he is not satanic but just addicted to body modification.
Currently Paslow has two domed implants made from hard Teflon on either side of his forehead that serve as horns, a forked tongue and fangs. He also has 29 tattoos covering most of his upper body and wears green lizard-like contact lenses.
Last year he also had an operation to make his ears pointed at the tips, but it wasn't a success. He plans to have it redone.Gavin Paslow, a 39 year old security guard from Kent, swindled benefit money to fund... more

And no! Its not because he has a little pointy, forked tongue or horns on his head, but because... gasp! He's a benefit cheat!
Dad-of-two Gavin Paslow (who has re-named himself Diablo Delenfer) was found to have swindled 3 and a half thousand pounds to pay for all his devilish trimmings.
So behold people of Great Britain; this is what your hard-earned cash has paid for. Better than the Millennium Dome?
Beelzebub has also been slapped with a curfew that bans him from roaming the streets at night; but the article doesn't specify whether this is for any criminal reason, or just because he would scare too many people.
Lucifer isn't finished with his make-over either; he says he wants a proper, organic tail, not one that you can buy at a fancy dress shop. He is currently single. And no! Its not because he has a little pointy, forked tongue or horns on his head,... more

Apparently, people are tattooing their scleras (white part of eye) and making them a different solid color. After years of blinking, you'd expect the person with the tattoo in their eyeball to go somewhat go blind. But it's a new "fad", it's different, it's a risk, a "hardcore" thing to do! NO. Any type of body modifaction in/on the SKIN is enough for me. But people SEE things differently, I guess. We'll see if that lasts.

This series of incredible temporary body modifcation devices was designed by Kye Ok Kim and showcased at Seoul Design Week 2007. They allow those who want to express themselves through artistic body work to do so via light, print or paint.
The light-emitted brooches project patterns onto the skin while the other trinkets I think are meant to put patterns in your skin, kind of like embossing yourself. You know how you wake up with pillow case wrinkle face? It’s kind of like that, but in a fashionable way. Or I guess you could use makeup for the imprint.
