A bank clerk who fled court moments before she was due to be sentenced for stealing £120,000 has been found hanged.
The bodies of HSBC worker Bhindi Dhanji, 31, of North Circular Road, Neasden, north London, and a man believed to be her husband were discovered on Wednesday hanging from a footbridge near her home.
She was facing up to six years in jail after earlier admitting two counts of theft by an employee.

A man robbed 16 year old Beverly Reed and ran off with $465. She she was selling her Girl Scout cookies at a Safeway in Tacoma, WA.
Robert Sullivan watched KOMO 4 Reporter Shomari Stone's news story and felt compelled to give Beverly, a teenager he doesn't know, $500 cash to cover her loss.
Shomari takes you behind the scenes.
(NOTE: A local radio station and several people have given Beverly money. But Sullivan's donation is the most from a single person. The money goes to the Girl Scouts)

Outside England 's Bristol Zoo there is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 buses. For 25 years, its parking fees were managed by a very pleasant attendant. The fees were for cars ($1.40), for buses (about $7).
Then, one day, after 25 solid years of never missing a day of work, he just didn't show up; so the Zoo Management called the City Council and asked it to send them another parking agent.
The Council did some research and replied that the parking lot was the Zoo's own responsibility.The Zoo advised the Council that the attendant was a City employee.. The City Council responded that the lot attendant had never been on the City payroll.
Meanwhile, sitting in his villa somewhere on the coast of Spain or France or Italy ... is a man who'd apparently had a ticket machine installed completely on his own and then had simply begun to show up every day, commencing to collect and keep the parking fees, estimated at about $560 per day -- for 25 years.

Colton Harris-Moore, who taught himself to fly using computer simulations, is suspected of stealing his fourth plane. This time he caught extra attention when he flew in close proximity of a restricted fly zone near the Vancouver Olympic site. Unlike the last three planes he likely stole and crash landed, this plane was retrieved largely unharmed. Apparently, he is getting better at landing them. Colton, nicknamed the barefoot burglar, survives off pilfered food and stolen credit card numbers. I have to admit there is something glamorous about his lifestyle, which probably explains his facebook following of 30,000+ people.

It took some kind of nerve to pull off a recent theft - from the Fort Des Moines Correctional Facility.
A thief allegedly absconded with a flat-screen TV after a attending a program at the Des Moines facility for former prison inmates. He nearly got away with the crime by using the cover of budget-induced darkness.
Authorities believe a man took the TV, valued at £300, from a dark conference room at the prison facility between Friday and Monday.
Two men initially avoided detection because budget cuts have left the prison short-staffed. The conference room surveillance cameras did not spot them because lights had been turned off to save money, said Sally Kreamer, director of the Fifth Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.
However, other surveillance cameras allegedly recorded Aaron Jefferson, 26, and Kareem Abdul-Jabar Sanders, 29, checking door handles in the building.
The Des Moines men attended a rehabilitation class at the facility Friday evening. The TV disappeared after that.
Officers raided Jefferson's residence on Tuesday and found the TV, Kreamer said. Jefferson admitted he had taken the TV, police said.
Jefferson was charged with third-degree theft and probation violation. Sanders was charged with trespassing. Police had no evidence that Sanders was involved in the theft.
"Stealing from a correctional facility," Des Moines Police Det. Dave Smith said. "We don't see that every day."

New York (CNN) -- Peter Madoff, brother of Bernard Madoff and chief compliance officer of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities, is the subject of a criminal investigation, the U.S. attorney's office in New York confirmed Thursday.
In a letter filed this week in federal court in Newark, New Jersey, Peter Madoff's attorney, Charles Spada, says that the investigation was the reason that his client invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination at a deposition in a related case in November.
Spada said he had been informed of the investigation into Peter Madoff's involvement in his brother's Ponzi scheme a week before the deposition, at which Peter Madoff declined to answer more than 290 questions.

President Obama won’t tell us in his State of the Union address. The deficit hawks won’t crow about it. Don’t expect the Tea Party or Rush and Beck to highlight our generosity either. But the sad fact is this: During the worst year since the Great Depression, with 30 million people out of work or forced into part-time jobs, Wall Street is awarding itself $150 billion in bonus money…..and it comes from us!
That’s $500 for every man, women and child in the country — $2,000 for a family of four. (Maybe we should try deducting it from our income taxes as a charitable donation.)
Had we not bailed out the financial sector, there would be no bonus pool this year. Zip, zero, ziltch.
It seems like financial Alzheimer’s setting in as many forget how all this happened. Wall Street, and no one else, crashed the economy through its fantasy finance extravaganza. It created, sold and traded a slew of newfangled financial instruments that were supposed to remove risk from risky investments. Wall Street went begging for subprime debt in order to create and market their new financial securities, the most profitable activity in their history. As a result of their securitization casino, which leveraged bet upon bet, the housing market turned into a bubble and finally burst. Wall Street had miscalculated, big time. The risk returned with a vengeance.
Not matter what Rick Santelli proclaims, government interference didn’t cause the crash. Greedy, stupid home buyers didn’t cause the crash. Poor people backed by the Community Reinvestment Act didn’t crash the system. And China didn’t cause it either. The book should be closed on this: Wall Street’s fantasy finance casino did us in. Once housing prices stopped their meteoric rise, the entire precarious structure of bets piled upon subprime loans, turned toxic. The banking system froze and the real economy was tossed off a cliff. We truly were on our way to the next Great Depression.
Policy leaders of all stripes bailed out the financial system because they thought there was no choice–and that was true to an extent. Preventing total financial collapse was necessary. The choices to be made were about how to prevent a further collapse and what kinds of demands we’d make on the banks that had brought disaster upon themselves and the rest of us. Bush, Paulson, Bernanke, Obama, Geithner, Summers and Congress made their choices. They poured money into the banking sector like never before. We gave the Wall Street banks gigantic loans and enormous guarantees on their toxic assets. We gave them TARP. It all totaled to more than $12 trillion, with most of it still in play, even after the TARP repayments. (See Nomi Prins’s excellent accounting..)
We can, and should, argue about whether the bailout was put together properly. A strong case can be made that the victims (the public), rather than the perpetrators (Wall Street’s casinos), should have received our support. Clearly, there were much better ways to rescue the failing economy and produce jobs, which is still by far our number one problem.
Wall Street was saved from bankruptcy, including Goldman Sachs which now cavalierly insists that it didn’t really need the bailout money (yet it took $12.9 billion of taxpayer support via AIG, and tossed it into its bonus pool.) Wall Streeters actually think they’ve earned the $150 billion in bonuses through their own cleverness. Think again. It’s nothing more than taxpayer welfare.
Of course, no one wants to admit that we put the richest people in the world on welfare. It’s embarrassing to acknowledge that we are rewarding those who killed millions of jobs. And worst of all, our political establishment doesn’t have the nerve to take our money back.

Dear President Obama,
The Facts below clearly show that homicide was committed to cover up criminal acts of an organized well funded covert criminal plot to commit voter fraud.
Joseph Stalin said:
“It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”
So then why are the people behind these capital crimes and, criminal acts not been prosecuted? These people today are free to walk the streets continuing their ongoing illegal activities and acts of treason against the citizens of United States.
As voters, the citizens who voted for you voted you into office for a reason... "to correct the wrongdoings and criminal acts of the past administration." Not, to continue with the covert coverups and on going status-quo of the past eight years. We expect and, also demand more.
Today, we find ourselves at a critical turning point... Our Nation is only as great the integrity of it's laws, the fairness of our Judicial System and, as strong as the pillars of our Constitution...
As citizens, we need to realize, that our nation has reached that point where our Judicial System has been twisted, bought and subverted by large corporations to where it no longer protects the rights of "All People" as was intended by our founding fathers. We have reached the point... where our country is no longer... "Our Country" anymore.
As a nation, we can't let these crimes; as mentioned by Clint Curtis and others in the attached documentary continue to go on unpunished. For the sake of justice and our credibility and our Nation. YOU, Mr. Obama were elected by the Citizens of this land to give you the power as Commander and Chief and as President " To mandate change". To act... To provide leadership to save our Democracy and our Nation from the acts of corporate and judicial misconduct and criminal corruption. A mandate given to you... to give the country back to it's people, " all its people". A clear mandate to balance the scales of Justice. A clear mandate to see that laws be enforced and crimes be punished and not overlooked with a wink and a nod to the highest bidder... as it is today.
Before you, is an opportunity to do Great Things... An historic opportunity... that should not be waisted.

Police in Poland have revealed that the theft of the Auschwitz sign was commissioned by a foreigner, however they refuse to comment on speculation that the sign was destined for Sweden.
Interestingly, although the five Polish men already arrested have been ruled out by the police as being neo-nazis, they have not released any information as to whether the person who wanted to sign to be taken has links with neo-nazi movements.
If charged with theft and damage the original five could face up to 10 years in prison.

Police in Poland have recovered the infamous Auschwitz sign, stolen last week, and arrested five men.
The sign has been cut into three pieces and the motive for the theft remains unclear.
The thieves are thought to have unscrewed the 40kg sign and removed it through a small opening in a wall which had been left open to preserve a poplar tree dating back to the second world war. Footprints then led to a road where the thieves would have loaded the sign onto a vehicle and driven away.

LAKEWOOD - Police say it's the kind of a crime they may start seeing more and more of, break-ins into medical marijuana dispensaries.
Lakewood is investigating one such burglary Sunday. Police say burglars broke into Green Tree Medical LLC and got away with an entire safe full of cash.
"These burglars were highly efficient," said Sgt. Mark Reeves with Lakewood Police, "according to the report, they got in and out in less than five minutes."
Anthony Branan and his brother Chris co-own the company.
"We couldn't believe it, we were stunned," Anthony Brenan said. "Business is starting to pick up a lot finally and then this happens right before Christmas."
Brenan said the thieves took an entire safe that was bolted into the wall and the floor, in it $10,000 cash.
"Somehow they got it out, I have no idea how."
Lakewood police say the three burglars who did this very likely knew where they were going and what they stood to gain, if successful.
"It's very possible that this was committed by one of the customers of this business," Reeves said. "And it's something that we're gonna look into, because it's so discreet."
Green Tree Medical lost more than cash, the burglars cleaned out the place, taking pipes, edibles and the cash register.
Police say dispensaries could be vulnerable to crimes like this.
"We knew that there was a possibility that this crime was gonna increase," said Reeves. "These businesses should limit the amount of cash they keep in the stores overnight, get security systems, get surveillance systems, anything they can to minimize the chance that a burglar is gonna break in."
The Branan brothers have owned the business for five months. And just started making a profit in the last few weeks.
But come Monday, they still plan to be open for business.
