Well like most people my age, I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure. This actually came about twelve years ago and they gave me a pill and everything was fine. I was back down to 120/70 like I was as a kid. Then a few weeks ago something happened. It popped back up again. I couldn't figure it out until I visited my doctor recently.Well like most people my age, I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure. This... more

We pursue the carnage into the favelas of Rio Di Janeiro where we run in to an old friend of F and F 1 who has an all tooapparently simple quick money earner for our stars to help with! All they have to do is reclaim some cars off a train andbring them back, not any cars obviously; a De Tomasa pantera (the model that elvis shot with his gun when it wouldnt start), a Ford GT40 and a classic Corvette stingray. To no surprise and lack of pyro and stunts it doesn't quite go and planned and pushes them deep into the sight line of rios biggest bad character!

Update-{thinking about the tens of thousands of kids who rely on Head Start nutrition programs who'd be cut off if the budget passes. 157,000 kids up to age 5, who rely on Head Start for nutrition, education and other services could be cut, if the budget passes.1
We need to spread the word about our fast, to help prevent these devastating cuts.
That's why today I'm asking you to raise awareness about the budget cuts through your local media. There are a few ways to do this:
* Write a Letter to the Editor in your local paper. Through the voice of local media, you can reach your Senator or Representative directly and ultimately, help influence their decisions.
* Contact local bloggers and ask them to cover it, or write about it yourself if you blog.
* If you're one of the folks fasting all the way through 'til the budget passes, consider calling your local paper and TV stations and ask them to cover your fast, as well as all the other folks participating nationally.
If you can do any of these things, it can make a big difference. Here's a page with sample letters, talking points, helpful tips and instructions for how to call the media.

Thank you to all 22,275 WOW !!! of you who are fasting. Tomorrow we will be in touch with more ways to stay engage with this fight.

I received this letter from the people at Moveon.org today please even if your not religious like me doesn't mean you can't support this good work and Fasting to bring light on the Millions that will suffer and starve from the immoral budget cuts. All along corporations dodge taxes kill their consumers lobby our govt, Banks ruin our economy with risky betting schemes we shell out bailouts they reward themselves with bonuses more than any of us will see in a lifetime.. all this and they in Washington say lets punish the working class and poor and children... That being said here's the letter that has me fasting( although Im not religious) Ill say again I do this for the people in solidarity, here now!

We don't have a budget crisis in Washington. We have a moral crisis.
When Congress can seriously debate forcing veterans into homelessness and cutting food aid to pregnant women and children, while giving tax breaks to billionaires, something is very, very wrong.
That's why this morning, I joined, along with the heads of seven other major progressive organizations, in an ongoing fast launched by religious leaders to protest the brutal and unjust budget cuts being debated in Washington.
Those who will go hungry because of these cuts are largely invisible to decision-makers in Congress. By fasting in solidarity, we have an opportunity to make their suffering visible, and expose the immorality of this policy.
Will you join in? You can fast for a day or part of a day, for a meal or a week—whatever you can do.
Please click here to join in.
This began on Monday, when Reverend Jim Wallis and a group of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim clergy launched a prayer fast to highlight what they called the "selective cruelty" in the budget debate. As word spread, thousands more folks have begun fasting as well.
I joined today because all week long I've been looking into the eyes of my 2-year-old daughter, and thinking about the hundreds of thousands of kids who will get kicked out of preschool, who will lose access to health care, who will go to bed hungry each night if these cuts pass.
I joined because I keep picturing other parents like me, many of them MoveOn members, who will be left with no way to provide for their families if right-wing Republicans get their way.
I joined because according to my faith and my conscience, letting children starve while giving handouts to giant corporations is wrong, plain and simple. And I feel compelled to speak out.
A number of other MoveOn staff are joining the fast with me this morning. I hope you will too, in whatever way speaks to your conscience.

I grew up reading these words from the Prophet Isaiah and they've returned to me powerfully today.
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
While this cause will speak to all of us differently—to our faith, or to our ethics, or simply through the eyes of our children—it is grounded in our common humanity and a common passion to defend those most in need.
Please join if you can.
Thank you for all that you do,
Justin Ruben

PS. If you didn't see it, the most-emailed article on the New York Times website yesterday was food writer Mark Bittman's beautiful column about why he's fasting too.
PPS. Fasting can be dangerous. Those with health issues or concerns that may be affected by fasting should not participate. Anyone unsure or with questions should consult their doctor before participating.Update-{thinking about the tens of thousands of kids who rely on Head Start nutrition... more

Twelve hours ago, 23-year-old performer and writer George Watsky's roommate posted a video of him rapping in his bedroom to reddit. In that time, the video has been frontpaged on the site and is currently blowing up on YouTube, with over 74,000 views so far.
What's so appealing about this dude? Well first of all, he raps at Busta Rhymes-level speeds (he's actually using the beat from Rhymes' 'Break Ya Neck' in the video). But the truly awesome thing is that his raps don't suck! Yes, you read that correctly.
There is truly a young white internet rapper out there whose rhymes aren't about beer bongs and ~CoLLeGe LyFe~.
Granted, he does burp on command during the song. But Watsky's an accomplished spoken word performer so he's got some chops. He's done Def Poetry Jam and pwned (video after the jump).
I'm just glad he's branching out to music too. We need less Asher Roth on this internet and more talented dudes with tiger posters and a cat on their desk.

Coming soon, to a sporting event, concert or other public venue near you — Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST) from the Department of Homeland Security. (The video below is from the DHS.)
This is truly Orwellian technology. And it’s just one of many programs DHS is working on to “keep you safe.”
In the days before Thanksgiving, the people staged a mini-revolt over the Transportation Security Administration’s dangerous and unConstitutional naked body scanners/peep show and the increasingly invasive enhanced body pat-downs/grope fest being conducted on innocent airline passengers.
The TSA backed down on the day before Thanksgiving by roping off most of the scanners and ceasing the pat-downs in order to thwart the passenger backlog that National Opt-Out Day would have caused. TSA denied it of course, but passengers noticed the scanners were out of commission, and long lines never materialized because passengers had nothing to opt out of.

.kom” who makes Great,Cool HARDCORE Music is so young musician. He is still high school student in Japan !! His musical style has been influenced from a “Frenchcore”,and his music is hard style, and has a fleshness like a soda because of yonung sence ;) OK ,Do you like hardcore style ? listen to it
HardTek aka Free Tekno
Free tekno is the name given to the music predominantly played at free parties in Europe. The spelling of the word tekno is made to deliberately differentiate the musical style from that of techno. The music is fast, normally 180 to 200 bpm and characterised by a pounding repetitive kick drum.
Tekno evolved in tandem with the teknival movement in the early 1990s since many of the teknival organisers and DJs were also making music. The music drew on influences such as hardcore, rave, jungle, gabba and techno, with the producers taking the sound in a darker, more organic direction. An emphasis is placed on samples from TV shows, films and popular culture which are placed at strategic moments in the tracks. The music was produced with whatever was available: drum machines, synthesisers and keyboards as well as computer programs such as Cubase. In recent years there has been a trend using laptops for live performances, because the capabilities of both the hardware and software are improving very fast. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/industrial/6576-kom.kom” who makes Great,Cool HARDCORE Music is so young musician. He is still high... more
