America is a great nation but that doesn't mean that it is a perfect nation. We have experienced disasters, terrorism, and death but America has also been one of the greatest purveyors of violence in history.
Patriotism is not to be judged by one's blind loyalty to their nation but is judged by one's committment to make their nation great and stay true to the pillars of its inception.America is a great nation but that doesn't mean that it is a perfect nation. We... more

"Dozens of people remain imprisoned for taking part in the 1989 pro-democracy protests centered in Tiananmen Square, but releasing them would improve China's image ahead of the Beijing Olympics this summer, a human rights group said.
New York-based Human Rights Watch said about 130 prisoners are still being held for their role in the demonstrations that were crushed in a brutal military crackdown. The square in the heart of the Chinese capital is expected to feature prominently in media coverage of the Olympics, although authorities worry about the possibility of fresh protests marring the event." A global network of spies, deception and political pressure must be overcome to prevent the further suffering of innocence. Some Truths Are Intolerable is a short film about the persecution of Falun Dafa (a peaceful spiritual practice from China), at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). From 1992-1999 Falun Dafa was freely followed throughout China, until the government decided that there were too many people studying the energy exercises and meditation. The CCP banned the practice and immediately declared up to 100million innocent people as being criminals. Since then, thousands have been tortured to death for their beliefs, hundreds of thousands are in slave labour camps, and millions have had their lives ruined by their own government. It is the intention of What Is Tough (a project dedicated to releasing a feature film about this issue) to bring to the public's attention this global disaster, before the Olympic Games are held in Beijing, in August of 2008. The atrocities covered in the film continue to this day.
Please visit www.whatistough.com for more information on the project and please sign-up to Current TV to vote for this film, so that more people become aware of the truth about Falun Dafa, because some truths are intolerable!
Thank you.

BEIJING - Every day, monitoring stations across the city measure air pollution to determine if the skies above this national capital can officially be designated blue. It is not an act of whimsy: with Beijing preparing to play host to the 2008 Olympic Games, the official Blue Sky ratings are the city's own measuring stick for how well it is cleaning up its polluted air.

This is the tenth in a series of articles and multimedia examining the human toll, global impact and political challenge of China's epic pollution crisis.

It's a common fact that China blocks information accessed by its citizens. If you Google "Tiananmen Square" from a Chinese address, only tourist information comes up. Nothing about the protests nor the killings. But why youtube? Even Lenovo, a China-based Olympic TOP sponsor, is having their woes with YouTube. They are using YouTube to engage their audience during their Torch Relay competition. What gives??It's a common fact that China blocks information accessed by its citizens. If you... more
