LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) - Suspended Lincoln police officer Edward Krawetz sat in court for a second straight day of testimony Thursday, on a charge that prosecutors say is backed up by video from a security camera. That video was shown in court on Wednesday.
The suspended patrolman is accused of felony assault of a woman outside Twin River slot parlor in Lincoln back in May of 2009.

The fascist cabal known as the Bilderbergers, CFR, committee of 300 etc., is desperately and without hope trying to start WW3 and install a fascist world government in an attempt to pre-empt criminal investigations closing in on them from all sides. Their efforts will fail because the Pentagon and the agencies in the US (with the exception of homeland Gestapo) are preparing to remove them from power, according to CIA and other sources. For example, multiple investigations are closing in on alleged President Obama, including one for illegally declaring war on Libya. A count among US representatives show the votes necessary to impeach him are there, US law enforcement officials say. In addition, evidence of bribery and other forms of illegally tampering with government is being compiled against George Soros, among others. There is also a lot going on under and on the surface in Europe, Japan and the Middle East. I highly recommend you watch this first, as it will draw you directly into the mystery -- which flickered for the briefest moment in mainstream media, only to disappear into shuddering silence: http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/bizzareweird/43041-the-trillion-dollar-lawsuit-that-could-end-financial-tyrannyThe fascist cabal known as the Bilderbergers, CFR, committee of 300 etc., is... more

Defense Response to Government Denial of Witnesses
On December 2, 2011, the defense filed a request for the production of 48 witnesses for the Article 32 hearing. The government responded to the defense's request on December 7, 2011. In the government's response, it opposed the presence of all defense requested witness (with the exception of ten witnesses who were also on the government's witness list).
The defense filed a request to compel the production of the witnesses on December 8, 2011. The Investigating Officer will consider the government and defense requests, and make a ruling sometime later this week.

Days before a preliminary hearing for suspected WikiLeaks aide and US Army PFC Bradley Manning are set to begin, the attorney for the accused whistleblower is asking for two big names to take the stand.
In a request made Friday, Manning’s attorney provided a 20-page list of defense witnesses that they are asking to appear at the hearing — among them US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. After taking his plea to the courtroom, attorney David Coombs made the list publically available on the Internet over the weekend.
The Article 32 hearing, scheduled to begin on December 16, serves as the military’s own version of a grand jury hearing and will determine if the case against Manning needs to be referred to a full-scale court martial. The US military alleges that Manning passed along top-secret documents detrimental to the country’s security to Julian Assange’s WikIleaks website, though his attorneys feel like they have a strong case in support of their client. Despite this, Manning has been held under inhumane conditions for over a year-and-a-half since being detained by American officials.
Should President Obama be subpoenaed to stand trial, Manning’s attorney is expected to question the commander-in-chief over comments that he made earlier this year against Manning. Speaking during a fundraiser in April, the president insisted that the soldier “broke the law,” which the defense says represented “unlawful command influence.”

The trial of 11 protesters who staged a sit-in at Fortnum and Mason in London gets started today.
The anti-tax avoidance demonstrators were charged with aggravated trespass after entering the luxury department store on Piccadilly in March 2010 in a protest that was described by a senior police officer who attended the scene as ‘non-violent’ and ‘sensible.’
145 protesters originally participated in the demonstration but charges were only brought against 17 people, resulting in 11 facing trial today.
The trial takes place at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on Marylebone Road, London, between midday and 2pm.

A gay former Army lieutenant arrested for handcuffing himself to a White House fence during a protest is being treated differently because he is a prominent voice for gay rights, his lawyer said Monday. During the protest, 13 people handcuffed themselves to the fence, some in uniform, chanting slogans including "let us serve."
People arrested for protesting at the White House are usually charged in local court where the penalty for disobeying a police order is a fine of between $100 and $1,000. But Choi was charged in federal court, where he faces both a fine and jail time of up to six months.
"They want him to go away," Feldman said, suggesting that bringing more serious charges is a move to get Choi to be silent. "He is the gay man who is finally attracting the attention."

On a brisk January morning in 2007, seven New Orleans police officers waded through a crowd of cheering supporters outside the city’s jail to face charges stemming from a deadly encounter with residents on a bridge in Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath. Before they were booked, the grim-faced officers accepted hugs and handshakes from fellow cops who shouted, “Heroes! Heroes!”
Three of the officers who received the hero’s welcome have admitted they were concealing a dark secret the day they surrendered, one so lurid it stunned a city with a long history of police corruption.

Ex-president reportedly slipping into coma periodically after cancer spreads to stomach, affecting his heart and brain.
Egypt's former President Hosni Mubarak is suffering from cancer, his defence lawyer has said, citing a medical report to assess whether the former leader is fit enough to stand trial.
"He has a stomach cancer and the tumours are growing," Mubarak's lawyer Farid el-Deeb said on Monday.
El-Deeb told Al Jazeera's Nadia Magd that Mubarak has had cancer since March 2010, but it had been kept a secret.
In March 2010 the former president underwent surgery in Germany to remove his gall bladder and a growth on his small intestine.
El-Deeb said Mubarak's cancer had spread to his stomach, causing severe repurcussions on his heart and brain vessels.
Mubarak, who ruled Egypt for three decades, was forced to step down from office in February following a mass uprising inspired by a similar revolt in Tunisia.
He is currently under detention in a hospital in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, awaiting trial over a slew of charges.
The lawyer said he had been slipping into coma periodically due to his failing health.
According to el-Deeb, a request was submitted to the prosecutor-general's office last Thursday, requeesting that Mubarak's German doctor be called to treat him.
The lawyer said he was still awaiting a response to the request, which had been sent to the Supreme Council of Armed Forces. The military has been running the country's affairs since Mubarak's ouster.

Young mother, Casey Anthony on trial for the murder of her two year old daughter Caylee. Her defense is the child accidentally drowned in a pool while at her parents home with herself and her dad present. She was compelled to cover up the accidental death by her father who supposedly molested her as a child. Oddly, none of this information came to light as Casey sat in jail for two years. She waited until the opening remarks of a capital murder case to share her plight.

This has been a hot topic in Seattle for months now. I actually thought the authorities would use this case to teach the police some better behavior. There is a police video that shows that the officer stopped the car after he saw a man with a small knife and a piece of wood on his hand walk down the street, got out, yelled at the man, and, just four seconds after leaving the car, shot him dead with four bullets. Now the case is being made that this was all proper conduct. Makes me afraid to go for a walk myself - at my age, my hearing is not what it was, and I might not notice some young guy yelling after me, expecting me to stop and react.
