A rabbit that rounds up sheep on a small farm in northern Sweden is rapidly gaining a following on the Internet, with more than 650,00 views in the past week on YouTube.
Even the owners are a little perplexed by the herding skills of the self-taught bunny, which may have learned its techniques by watching its border collie friends.
“He learnt these skills himself, we had nothing to do with it,” Greta Vigren, the rabbit’s owner told The Local, an English language website based in Sweden.
“He surely has seen the dogs doing it before, but really, Champis thinks he is the king of the farm, and that he owns the sheep.”
The video, ”Champis – the herding rabbit” in English, was filmed at the farm by a friend of the owners, Dan Westman, a sheepdog breeder who also writes a blog.
Westman has no idea why the video of the rabbit is so popular. “Maybe you can tell me why?” he asked The Local.

A Seattle library is making news after refusing to remove a man who was watching pornographic videos on a library computer.
“We’re a library, so we facilitate access to constitutionally protected information. We don’t tell people what they can view and check out,” Seattle Public Library spokeswoman Andra Addison told Seattle PI. ”Filters compromise freedom of speech protected by the First Amendment. We’re not in the business of censoring information.”
Seattle PI reports that when library patron Julie Howe saw the man, she asked him to move to another computer. He refused. When Howe asked the librarian to intervene, she also refused.
“She could see the screen from the information desk where we were standing and was sympathetic, but said that the library doesn’t censor content,” Howe wrote in an email published Tuesday on the neighborhood blog, Lake City Live.
“And they can’t be in the business of monitoring what their patrons are doing at any given computer.”
However, in 2010 the Washington State Supreme Court ruled in a 6-3 decision that libraries can do exactly that. The ruling came after the ACLU sued a rural library district that had attempted to filter porn from its computers.
“A public library has traditionally and historically enjoyed broad discretion to select materials to add to its collection of printed materials for its patrons’ use,” the court wrote in its decision. “We conclude that the same discretion must be afforded a public library to choose what materials from millions of Internet sites it will add to its collection and make available to its patrons.”
Howe says she respects, understands and agrees with the freedom of speech laws that protect the man’s right to view pornography, but nonetheless wishes there was a compromise for the library’s other patrons.
“I have had extensive conversations with the library about this incident, as well as with the police and local representatives,” wrote Howe. “The man’s right to access constitutionally protected information is fully protected (which I’m not in argument with), but our right not to be inadvertent viewers is not.”
Other library patrons have complained about similar incidents, including those involving young children who were exposed to pornographic images being viewed by other patrons.
The dilemma was summed up by another library patron, Jessica Christensen, who told Seattle PI, “What I find ironic is that you can’t talk too loudly at the Seattle Public Libraries or you’ll be asked to keep it down so as not to distract the other patrons. You know, the patrons viewing pornography.”

A Florida mother is upset that a Hooters waitress was a guest speaker at her son’s school Thursday during an annual event where members of the community come and talk to students about their careers.
“It’s just the wrong message,” Ashley Dominicci, whose son is in sixth grade at Calvin A. Hunsinger School in Clearwater, told the St. Petersburg Times. “I feel like we’re telling them [the students] that you’re the bad kids, and this is all you’ll be in life.”

A cat descended a 30- to 40-foot Saguaro cactus in Arizona after being stuck on top of it for three days.
The cat, black with white markings, apparently became stuck on top of the cactus in a desert area near Saguaro Lake, KNVX-TV, Phoenix, reported Friday.
A witness said he first saw the cat there three days before it came down.
Slowly but surely, the cat started to climb down Friday, starting face-first before turning around and backing its way down. Near the bottom, it leaped off the cactus, making a safe landing.
The feline was seen wandering in the area after news crews left the scene.

It's that time of year again: The McRib magically reappears at McDonald's for a few weeks . . . only to be snatched away before Thanksgiving.
So here's a dilemma. Do you want to enjoy your few weeks of eating McRibs in blissful ignorance . . . or do you want to go behind the curtain and hear what the actual ingredients are?
If you don't want to know, cover your ears for about 45 seconds . . . NOW.
Chemicals. There are about 70 ingredients involved . . . 34 of which are in the bun. Most of those are chemicals used for who knows what. But one is azodicarbonamide, which bleaches flour and is also used to make gym mats.
Pig scraps. The McRib is assembled from pieces of pig like the heart and stomach. Those are cooked together and blended into a substance that IS pig . . . at least technically.
Lots of salt. Salt is used for flavoring . . . and to extract proteins from the meat which help basically GLUE the stray pig parts together.
No bones at all. You'll never have to worry about finding a rib bone or any other bone in your McRib . . . just because it's pressed to LOOK like ribs doesn't mean there are actually any ribs inside.

In a town called Naivasha in southern Kenya, a man named Jeckonia and his wife Truphena were both cheating on each other. Last week, Jeckonia told his wife he had to go to western Kenya for an urgent family event.
They said their goodbyes and he boarded a bus. But it wasn't REALLY to a family event . . . he was actually meeting his mistress at a nearby hotel.
As for his wife . . . she figured it would be a good time for HER to meet up with the guy SHE was having an affair with. They decided to book a hotel room. And you can see where this is going.
They ended up booking a room at the SAME HOTEL. And without realizing it, they ended up booking ADJACENT ROOMS.
Both couples were still in their rooms when Jeckonia decided to call his wife to keep up his story. But when he called her, he heard her RINGTONE through the wall . . . then heard her answer the call.
They opened the doors connecting the adjacent rooms, saw each other, and realized what was going on. Then they apparently decided to go home and talkIn a town called Naivasha in southern Kenya, a man named Jeckonia and his wife... more

A FORMER DEVIL WORSHIPER in Swaziland says she gave BIRTH to a seven-headed snake during her exorcism!
According to the Swazi Observer, Patience Tsabedze, a 27-year-old mother of two, who says she served the devil “in a very high rank” for seven years, suffered a “horrific” deliverance last week witnessed by her husband, who works as a police officer, his fellow officers, and a pastor who performed the exorcism.
Over the course of weeks, “Patience vomited gallons of blood, three live starfish and 20 ordinary fish, a dead rat, over 700 worms and other gory items. Her ears also excreted millipedes,” according to reports in the Swazi Observer.
But the horror scene didn’t end there, Patience says she later suffered severe “labor pains” and “gave birth” to a live snake.
“It was my first time seeing such a snake, a seven-headed one with glittering eyes. I tried to kill it but it hid inside the toilet so we decided to flush it,” her husband told the Times of Swaziland.
Despite no longer worshiping the devil, Patience says she still suffers attacks by demons.

The man tried to travel on Saturday's 1902 BST service to Holyhead on Anglesey with his four-legged companion.
The ATW spokeswoman added: "Arriva Trains Wales allows dogs and small animals to travel onboard trains.
