The founder of one of America's largest pizza chains has offered unexpected advice to his customers to limit themselves to only one or two slices.
During an interview on BBC's Radio Four program in the United Kingdom, John Schnatter, said, "you can't eat five or six slices."
He was responding to a question from presenter Adam Shaw about whether he was concerned about the impact of the British government's anti-obesity drive on pizza sales.
"No. Pizza's actually healthy for you if you don't eat too much of it," Schnatter replied, adding, "You can't eat five or six slices but if you eat one or two slices it's very nutritious."

On April 26, 1986, a reactor at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Ukrainian city of Pripyat exploded and began spewing radioactive smoke and gas. Firemen discovered that no amount of water could extinguish the blaze. More than 40,000 residents in the immediate area were exposed to fallout 100 times greater than that from the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. But the most serious nuclear accident in history had only begun.
Based on top-secret government documents that came to light only in the Nineties, during the collapse of the Soviet Union, THE BATTLE OF CHERNOBYL reveals a systematic cover-up of the true scope of the disaster, including the possibility of a secondary explosion of the still-smoldering magma, whose radioactive clouds would have rendered Europe uninhabitable. The government effort to prevent such a catastrophe lasted for more than seven months and sacrificed the lives of thousands of soldiers, miners and other workers.
THE BATTLE OF CHERNOBYL dramatically chronicles the series of harrowing efforts to stop the nuclear chain reaction and prevent a second explosion, to "liquidate" the radioactivity, and to seal off the ruined reactor under a mammoth "sarcophagus." These nerve-racking events are recounted through newly available films, videos and photos taken in and around the plant, computer animation, and interviews with participants and eyewitnesses, many of whom were exposed to radiation, including government and military leaders, scientists, workers, journalists, doctors, and Pripyat refugees.
The consequences of this catastrophe continue today, with thousands of disabled survivors suffering from the "Chernobyl syndrome" of radiation-related illnesses, and the urgent need to replace the hastily-constructed and now crumbling sarcophagus over the still-contaminated reactor. As this remarkable film makes clear, THE BATTLE OF CHERNOBYL is far from over.On April 26, 1986, a reactor at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Ukrainian... more
Getting too close to one of New Zealand's best known natural attractions has cost two young Australians their lives.
An aerial search of a section of Fox Glacier where two men were crushed by falling ice has shown the one remaining body would not have been dislodged overnight.
Following heavy rain last night there were hopes that significant ice movement and river flow may have freed the body of 22-year-old Australian student Akshay Miranda.
But Constable Tony LeSuer from the Hokitika police said a helicopter search had established Mr Miranda's body would not have been dislodged by a rise in the river level.

The FDA today said that it was ok to have melamine in baby formula. Melamine is a plastic manufactured by Monsanto chemical company which dates back to the 1950 and the petro-chemistry revolution. Melamine is commonly used in counter tops and for the interior of buses.
Melamine is an organic base and a trimer of cyanamide, with a 1,3,5-triazine skeleton. Like cyanamide, it contains 66% nitrogen by mass and, if mixed with resins, has fire retardant properties due to its release of nitrogen gas when burned or charred, and has several other industrial uses. Melamine is also a metabolite of cyromazine, a pesticide. It is formed in the body of mammals who have ingested cyromazine. It has been reported that cyromazine can also be converted to melamine in plants.
Melamine combines with cyanuric acid to form melamine cyanurate, which has been implicated in the Chinese protein export contamination.
Melamine is combined with formaldehyde to produce melamine resin, a very durable thermosetting plastic used in Formica, and melamine foam, a polymeric cleaning product. The end products include countertops, dry erase boards, fabrics, glues, housewares and flame retardants. Melamine is one of the major components in Pigment Yellow 150, a colorant in inks and plastics.
Melamine also enters the fabrication of melamine poly-sulfonate used as superplasticizer for making high-resistance concrete. Sulfonated melamine formaldehyde (SMF) is a polymer used as cement admixture to reduce the water content in concrete while increasing the fluidity and the workability of the mix during its handling and pouring. It results in concrete with a lower porosity and a higher mechanical strength exhibiting an improved resistance to aggressive environments and a longer life-time.
Now doesn't that sound like a healthy ingredient for your child's baby formula?
Less than two months after federal food regulators said they were unable to set a safety threshold for the industrial chemical melamine in baby formula, they announced a standard that allows for higher levels than those found in U.S.-made batches of the product.
Food and Drug Administration officials on Friday set a threshold of 1 part per million of melamine in formula, provided a related chemical isn't present. They insisted the formulas are safe. The FDA today said that it was ok to have melamine in baby formula. Melamine is a... more

Titled "Global Trends 2025 -- A World Transformed," the 121-page report was released Thursday to stimulate debate and thinking as a new US administration prepares to take power."If current trends persist, by 2025 China will have the world's second largest economy and will be a leading military power," it added.
The report said India will probably continue to enjoy relatively rapid economic growth, but the growing gap between rich and poor will become a more acute political issue.
"Indian leaders do not see Washington as a military or economic patron and now believe the international situation has made such a benefactor unnecessary," the report said.
Political and economic reform in Iran, along with a stable investment climate, "could fundamentally redraw both the way the world perceives the country and also the way in which Iranians view themselves."

Baghdad: Voices of Iraq
MP from the Iraqi National List (INL) Usama al-Negefi said on Thursday that his bloc believes the U.S. troops withdrawal agreement does not guarantee Iraq’s full sovereignty.
“The agreement does not guarantee the full sovereignty as a foreign side will take part in it against the Iraqi citizens,” al-Negefi said in the parliament during debating the second reading of the agreement.
“Iraqi citizen’s money could be confiscated and the agreement does not Iraq from any foreign aggression,” he said.
“The pact could be canceled and the new U.S. administration could have another opinion,” the lawmaker noted.
Today’s session witnessed heated argument between Speaker of the parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani and Sadrist lawmakers who protested the second reading of the deal.

Baghdad - Iraq's defence minister on Saturday warned of the dangers of withdrawing US forces before the end of 2011, a date set with Washington in a security pact opposed by some lawmakers.
Defence Minister General Abdel Qader Jassim said withdrawing before that date would threaten Iraq's oil exports, enable neighbouring countries to encroach on Iraqi territory and give free reign to foreign spies.
"The period of the timetabled withdrawal gives us enough time to complete our abilities - training, combat and technical - and secures us great support," Jassim told a news conference in Baghdad.
His comments came a day after thousands of followers of anti-American Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr protested in Baghdad against the pact, which cabinet approved on Sunday.
The speaker of Iraq's parliament, Mahmoud Mashhadani, said the house would vote on the pact on Wednesday, although some lawmakers said it could be delayed until after a holiday recess which begins next week.
"The door for discussions on the pact was closed today. The vote will take place next Wednesday," Mashhadani told Reuters.
While Sadr's followers oppose the pact outright and members of his bloc in parliament have disrupted parliamentary debates on it, other groups have reservations about some details.
"Successive governments have not succeeded in disarming the heavy and medium weapons of, and I am not naming any names, the armed blocs and armed wings," he added, justifying the pact's 2011 withdrawal date.
Sadr's supporters have staged several violent uprisings since 2003 and the government has accused him of failing to disband his Mehdi Army militia, despite a ceasefire.
The security pact governs the US troop presence in Iraq and will replace a United Nations mandate which expires at the end of the year. Iraqi politicians are under pressure to pass the deal to avoid an extension of the mandate.
The defence minister said Iraq's navy was not ready to assume responsibility from US-led forces for protecting offshore terminals that export the country's crude.
"If we evict them in an unplanned or sudden way, then ... piracy will begin here ... the ability to export will be hugely threatened," he said.
Some countries shell certain areas of Iraq daily, he said, without naming any, and the presence of US forces deters them from expanding their operations. Turkey frequently shells northern Iraq in its hunt for Kurdish separatist rebels.

Osama bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will out do by far, the September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.
And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a "positive phase" reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next 'wave of action' against the West.
The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers - quotes a person described as being 'very close to al-Qaeda' in Yemen.
The paper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who is said to be the last journalist to interview Osama bin Laden in 1996. According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to change the face of world politics and economics. The operative is quoted as saying that 'this will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia'.
The ex-operative says he remains in contact with current chiefs of the organisation in Yemen and that only six months ago bin Laden had sent a message to all jihad cells in the Arab world which asked them not to interact with their governments or local political parties and to deny any request for mediation or formal talks.
The source also said that during the next few days the terrorist organisation may send a sign of its violent intentions.
The warning has emerged at the same time as publication of a report leaked to The Telegraph newspaper which reveals that a document drawn up by the intelligence branch of the Ministry of Defence says that thousands of extremists are active in the UK.Osama bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will out do by... more

MIAMI (CBS4) ― Tropical Storm Hanna continues to blast the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos and Haiti with gusty wind and torrential rain.
At 2 p.m., the center of Hanna was located about 420 miles southeast of Nassau; at latitude 20.6 north, longitude 72.9 west.
Hanna has drifted to the west-southwest for much of Tuesday. The storm is expected to begin moving to the northwest Tuesday night or Wednesday. On this track it will move over the southeastern Bahamas Tuesday evening and central Bahamas on Wednesday.
Hanna grew into a hurricane Monday but was downgraded Tuesday morning.
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to 70 mph with higher gusts. Hanna could regain hurricane strength Wednesday or Thursday.
Hanna's path is uncertain. One forecaster at the National Hurricane Center says "it could hit anywhere from Miami to the Outer Banks of North Carolina."
A hurricane warning remains in effect for the central and southeastern Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands. A tropical storm warning is in effect for the northern coast of Haiti from Le Mole St. Nichoas to the northern border with the Dominican Republic.
Hanna is expected to produce 4 to 8 inches of rain over the southeastern Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos and eastern Cuba; some isolated areas could receive up to 12 inches. Rainfall of 6 to 10 inches is possible over the Dominican Republic and Haiti which could cause life threatening mud slides and flash floods. Swells from Hanna are expected to increase the risk of dangerous rip currents along portions of the Southeast coast over the next couple of days.
NASA has delayed the move of the space shuttle Atlantis from an assembly building at Florida's Kennedy Space Center to the launch pad by at least one day. The move had been scheduled for Tuesday in preparation for an October mission to the Hubble Space Telescope.

More and more computers are being infested by the dreaded "XP Antivirus 2008" malware/virus.
"Antivirus XP 2008 is a new rogue anti-spyware program that is advertised through Trojans and other malware. It is advertised in the form of fake security alerts and warnings on web sites that state you are infected with malware or are being attacked in some manner. When you click on these ads, it will automatically download the installer for Antivirus XP 2008 and install it on your machine. In some cases, this program is installed without any intervention at all from you.
"Once installed, Antivirus XP 2008 will scan your computer and display a variety of security risks found on your computer that can only be removed if you purchase a license of the software. These risks, though, are all fake and are only being displayed to scare you into thinking you are infected and thus purchase their software. Another tactic that Antivirus XP 2008, and the accompanied malware, uses is to change your desktop background to be a message stating you are infected, popups and fake alerts stating your computer is being attacked, and a fake Internet Explorer page that states Google has found your computer to be infected."
Some people who fell for this and decided to purchase Antivirus XP 2008 using their credit card have apparently had vast amounts of money fraudulently taken, stolen, by whoever is behind this little monster.
My husband's computer got infected a couple of days ago when he visited DivXVine where he has a few DivX videos hosted. This malware/virus is a real pain in the backside and can, according to some, destroy your hard-drive. There is a number of videos on YouTube which offer different ways of getting rid of it, none of which worked - it seems that the makers of this little monster have changed some of its properties to make it almost impossible to get rid of. It interferes with one's browser in such a way that when one wants to go to a website giving instructions on how to get rid of it, one lands on totally different and unrelated pages. It makes the downloading of .exe files that can help one get rid of it impossible, or disables some of the information which corrupts or empties these .exe files.
After over 24 hours of very frustrating struggles in trying to get rid of this little monster, I finally found a solution that did work. I downloaded the free trial version of Spyware Doctor (it will detect the little monster, but one needs to purchase it in order to clean it out) and then purchased the license online (about $34). I put the .exe file onto an external drive, then we connected the external drive to my husband's computer, and he grabbed, slid and dropped the .exe file onto his desktop and installed it. After that, he entered the name and the license number (one may install it into 3 computers), activated it, downloaded the latest definitions, did a full scan - it worked like a charm and zapped and destroyed the little monster!
I found Spyware Doctor at pctools.com after doing a lot of research on the subject. Beware - some of the sites that one finds via a google search when googling for that malware/virus by name are traps, some are attack sites. Happily, I am well protected and get warnings when going to these sites.
I am going to install it on my computer too, as it prevents such little monsters from ever entering one's computer. I can only advise others to also purchase it before getting hit by this little monster, and if you're already a victim, well, now you have the solution.More and more computers are being infested by the dreaded "XP Antivirus... more
