Ex-head of the church of satan, friend of Charles Manson, mentor of Marilyn Manson, descendant of Jesus Christ, social darwinist, neo-pagan, founder of noise core, electronic pioneer and alleged crypto-fascist; Boyd Rice's CV is as impressive as it is controversial.
Since the mid 70's he has produced some of the most challenging and original recorded music in history. The sheer emotion, untamed structure and raw, uncompromising sounds are made all the more intriguing by the accompaniment of fascistic imagery and occultist aesthetics.
NON is perhaps his most famous music project. NON's last record, 'Children of the black sun' was released on Mute records in 2002 and tended toward the dark ambient sound of his other projects. The next record 'Back to mono' is a return to the abrasive noise of his early years and is to be released this Summer. Survive the Jive caught up with Boyd at the recent Short circuit festival in Camden to find out about the new record from NON 'Back to Mono' and Boyd's new book 'Twilight Man'Ex-head of the church of satan, friend of Charles Manson, mentor of Marilyn Manson,... more

Guerrilla Zoo Presents
MODERN PANIC
4TH- 12TH JUNE 2011
11am- 7pm
PRIVATE VIEW 3RD JUNE 2011
Adv Ticket or By Invitation Only
@ The Old Abattoir
187-211 St John Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1V 4LS
Modern Panic is our forth-coming exhibition, showcasing the work of provocative artists from around the world, from infamous prisoner Charles Bronson, Bolivian enfant terrible and coca-leaf artist Gaston Ugalde, taxidermy artist Iris Schieferstein, who's hoof boots have been sought after by the likes of Lady Gaga, the provocative Kira O'Reilly, Tank Girl comic artist Rufus Dayglo and over 50 others!
Modern Panic is a well needed look into the worlds we inhabit and is designed to shake the viewer awake through a bewildering bombardment of the senses.
Modern Panic is a sequel to the popular Panic Exhibition we held in 2009, which featured the founding members of the Panic Movement (formed in the 1960’s by Fernando Arrabal, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Roland Topor), next to the new wave of controversial modern artists.
During our Private View on Fri 3rd June, we will be presenting a Panic Happening: Many artists will be spontaneously creating their art live in a 3 hour ‘Panic’ inspired happening, consisting of performance art, site specific characters, live sonic sounds, and plenty of interactive installations. ‘The Aftermath’ of this panic happening will then take the form of the exhibition.
Panic Movement (Mouvement Panique) was a collective formed by Fernando Arrabal, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Roland Topor in Paris, France in 1962. Inspired by and named after the god Pan, and influenced by Luis Buñuel and Antonin Artaud’s Theatre of Cruelty, the group concentrated on chaotic happenings containing performance art and surreal imagery, designed to be shocking, as a response to surrealism becoming petite bourgeoisie and to release destructive energies in search of peace and beauty.

Stories of Black Eyed Kids — or BEKs as they were swiftly dubbed — have been popping up all over the internet for over a decade, but have yet to achieve any real pop culture notoriety… you’ll know when that happens as soon as you start seeing commercials for a Wes Craven’s or Eli Roth’s new movie based on the “horrifying, real-life phenomena!”
Sounds pretty anti-climatic, right? But just wait; these aren’t your average, ordinary scallywags. These adolescents have something horribly wrong with them — something almost none of the witnesses notice at first glance — it’s their eyes. These “creatures” have no white corneas, no colorful irises, just a pair of big, black, shark-like eyes that inspire abject horror in all who have claimed to have seen them.Stories of Black Eyed Kids — or BEKs as they were swiftly dubbed — have... more

Billionaire potential Republican presidential aspirant Donald Trump claimed on Monday that he once took part in a subversive plan to undermine Muammar Gaddafi's power in Libya, an effort that has since become an international mission.
"I think I probably have more experience of anybody -- whether I sell them real estate for tremendous amounts of money. I mean, I've dealt with everybody," the billionaire real-estate mogul told Fox News Monday morning, touting his supposed foreign policy credentials. "And by the way, I can tell you something else. I dealt with Gaddafi. I rented him a piece of land. He paid me more for one night than the land was worth for two years, and then I didn't let him use the land."
"That's what we should be doing. I don't want to use the word 'screwed', but I screwed him," Trump continued. "That's what we should be doing."
In 2009, Trump came under scrutiny for renting property to Gaddafi so that he could pitch a Bedouin-style tent in an upscale New York suburb. Trump claimed ignorance in the matter, saying that he was unaware that his land had been rented to the dictator. After a day of controversy, Trump reportedly forced Gaddafi off the property.Billionaire potential Republican presidential aspirant Donald Trump claimed on Monday... more

Developing Story....This is interesting, to say the least. Whistle-blowing organization Wikileaks is urging the public to download their ever-so-famous “insurance” file from The Pirate Bay, according to a recently transmitted tweet. This file, nearly 2GB in size, is said to contain thousands of secret U.S. documents aimed at embarrassing the nation’s government, and potentially causing harm to the United States’ relations with allies.
The file has been around since this Summer and is heavily encrypted [AES-256]. In the event of Wikileaks’ founder’s [Julian Assange] death (or some other unspecified reason), the secret key would be released — exposing the documents to all who have downloaded and obtained the key.
We’re not sure as to why Wikileaks is now urging users to download the file, but it just may be that they’re soon planning to release the key.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned.
Update: The WikiLeaks website has gone down.Developing Story....This is interesting, to say the least. Whistle-blowing... more

You can go round the Body Works display and wonder if it is science, art or morbid curiosity. Though the latest news reports he will be selling some of the plastic resin bodies over the internet for around £61,7333 for a full body.
"Torsos will be on sale for around £50,154 while human heads will be on offer for £19,495 each. Animal parts are also available. Over the last season, we have seen a sporadic, but very real, decrease in the quality of the classic cartoon from comedians Matt Stone and Trey Parker. This new season was starting very similar to the last season, sprinkles of laziness over primarily genius. But all the genius is crowded to the beginning of the 14th season, and since 200 and 201, it seems like they do not care anymore.
I couldn't be happier people enjoyed Poor and Stupid, Crippled Summer, or the Snookie episode It's A Jersey Thing. I, however, do not, and can not. I think they were seriously banking on the idea that 200 and 201 would get them kicked off the air, forever immortalizing them for going against the norm. When it didn't work, it seemed like they lost their drive.
I try to not be too critical, especially until I've watched the full season. But there have only been 4 episodes, out of 9 so far, that have remotely matched the artistic charisma and comedic observance of these two douches.
Really, I don't mind if they get kicked off of the air, but only if they get their asses to work making another feature film, and not something like Orgazmo (which was funny but could never be a wide release film). I'd like to see a film in the same vein as Team America, South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut, or even Baseketball (which they didn't direct but fueled with excellent comedic timing and a sweet DVDA song).
But until then, I just want to see one, ONE, episode of South Park that at least reaches the same level of artistic merit and social awareness as the 12th and 13th seasons.
Maybe it's just me and I don't care about pop culture references to Nascar, any TV show featuring Jersey, or contrived humor (as seen in Crippled Summer). I loved the Fatbeard, Whale Whores, The Ring, and Fishsticks episodes of the 13th season, and almost every episode in the 12th, but the 14th seems to be slowing to a putter.
And Insheeption doesn't look too promising.
I'm hoping to eat those words however.
I guess the question I'm posing to all of you is do you think this lack of spark in the recent episodes of South Park are due to being overborne by the amount of time they spend on the show, and the controversy of their most well written episodes, or if simply the duo is ready to move on to greater things?
Is the blandness of the episodes due to bitterness or exhaustion?
And more importantly, does anyone share my sentiments regarding the episodes following 200 and 201?
Will South Park return to greatness or will we need to wait for another Trey Parker directed musical before we see genius again?Over the last season, we have seen a sporadic, but very real, decrease in the quality... more

The writers listed in the article are among the best and the brightest who created works that would go on to inspire and influence fellow writers and students for ages. Sure, maybe you’ve heard of Tolstoy and the Marquis de Sade, but do you know where they were as they skyrocketed to fame? Probably not. Here’s the stories behind five famous writers that lived in exile.
