Buried deep in the archives of America's intelligence services are a series of memos, written during the last years of President George W. Bush's administration, that describe how Israeli Mossad officers recruited operatives belonging to the terrorist group Jundallah by passing themselves off as American agents. According to two U.S. intelligence officials, the Israelis, flush with American dollars and toting U.S. passports, posed as CIA officers in recruiting Jundallah operatives -- what is commonly referred to as a "false flag" operation.
The memos, as described by the sources, one of whom has read them and another who is intimately familiar with the case, investigated and debunked reports from 2007 and 2008 accusing the CIA, at the direction of the White House, of covertly supporting Jundallah -- a Pakistan-based Sunni extremist organization. Jundallah, according to the U.S. government and published reports, is responsible for assassinating Iranian government officials and killing Iranian women and children.

Activists with a group called Move Over AIPAC protesting the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's (AIPAC) stranglehold on the US Congress... in style and song in DC's Union Station.
Flashmobs have definitely made a come back in the world of activism, for better or worse.
The US gives Israel $3 billion in military aid a year. That hasn't brought peace to the region. That hasn't made Israel or Palestine safer. Rather it keeps us all on the brink of war.Activists with a group called Move Over AIPAC protesting the American Israel Public... more

Peace activist Rachel Corrie, 23, was a student at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. She was MURDERED on Sunday, March 16, 2003 by the IDF, in the southern Gaza city of Rafah while trying to stop an Israeli bulldozer from tearing down a Palestinian physician's home. Israeli military spokesman Captain Jacob Dallal called her death an accident.
Today is Rachel's Birthday, she would have been 32 years old. There will be celebration around the World toady calibrating Her life and Death. Every American should be proud of Rachel. She was steadfast in her convictions and died doing what was right.

The other day I received another invitation to a university debate. The motion was "This House Believes That Israel Asks Too Much And Gives Too Little In The Peace Process" and it was assumed that I would speak in opposition, alongside - maybe - someone from the Israeli Embassy and someone from the Zionist Federation. On the other side, feelers were out to Tony Benn, George Galloway, Tariq Ali and Gerald Kaufman. So you get it: pro-Israel on one side, anti on the other.
Actually, I agree with the motion and I couldn't work out why the organisers thought I would oppose it, other than going by my name and by my not believing that Zionism equals Racism. If by "Israel" they meant Binyamin Netanyahu's government, I would have supported a stronger motion, reading something like, "the current Israeli administration probably doesn't believe in the peace process at all".
But, then, imagine lining up beside someone like Galloway - his tongue still fresh from its excursions into the nether regions of various Middle Eastern dictators - and trying to distinguish your milquetoast criticisms from his bombast.
This would be true in the best of times, but in terms of any peace process, these feel like the worst of times. And few events can have exemplified their awfulness more completely than the murder of the Fogel family, and their hopelessness much more than the reaction to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UExVptsuUbA&feature=player_embedded#at=44

Zionists rejoice!
Israel investigates itself and finds that it acted in accordance with international law.
***
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday expressed his satisfaction with the findings of Turkel Commission, which probed the Israel Defense Forces raid on a Gaza-bound ship last May and found that Israeli soldiers acted in accordance with international law during the operation.
"The truth is simple," said Netanyahu. "IDF soldiers defended themselves and their country. It is not only their privilege but also their duty and the State of Israel stands behind their actions."Zionists rejoice!

Israeli troops killed a 65-year-old Palestinian while he slept on Friday during a raid to arrest his neighbour who was affiliated with Hamas, the dead man's wife and local residents said.
The man, Amr Qawasme, was asleep when soldiers broke into his home before dawn. His wife, Sobheye, said they brushed past her into the bedroom, where she heard several shots fired. When she went in, she found her husband in a pool of blood.
"I was praying when they entered. I do not know how they opened the door. They put their hand to my mouth and a rifle to my head," she told Reuters after Qawasme's body was removed.
"I was shocked. They did not allow me to talk. I asked them, 'What did you do?' They asked me to shut up."
Reuters Television footage showed Qawasme's sodden bed and bullet casings on the floor.
An Israeli military spokeswoman had no immediate comment on the raid.

HEBRON, West Bank – Israeli troops mistakenly shot and killed a 65-year-old Palestinian man in his bed during a pre-dawn raid Friday to arrest a Hamas militant in the West Bank, Palestinian and Israeli officials said.
Late Friday, the Israeli military said a soldier was killed and four others wounded by friendly fire after a gunbattle broke out with Palestinian militants along the border with Gaza.
Palestinian security and rescue officials in the West Bank city of Hebron said Israeli troops shot and killed 65-year-old Omar Kawasmeh, who lived in the same building but on a different floor as the Hamas militant targeted in the early morning raid. Associated Press Television footage showed a bloodstained bed and shell casings in Kawasmeh's bedroom.
The Israeli military said in a statement that it "regrets the outcome of the incident" and was investigating. Soldiers still arrested the wanted militant, Wael Mahmoud Said Bitar, during the raid.
The military said Bitar planned suicide bombings before his arrest by the Palestinian Authority two years ago. One of the suicide bombings killed an Israeli woman and injured ten other civilians in southern Israel in 2008.
Bitar was one of six Hamas fighters released from prison Thursday by the Western-backed Palestinian Authority, the Palestinian officials said. The militants, who had launched a hunger strike to protest their incarceration, were freed following a series of high-level contacts between Hamas officials and Palestinian Authority officials, as well as an intervention by the emir of Qatar.
The Israeli military said five of the freed militants — including the target of the raid in which the man was killed — were arrested overnight. The Western-backed Palestinian Authority has cracked down on Hamas in areas of the West Bank under its control. Hamas, an Islamic group backed by Iran, runs a competing Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip.

Questions are surfacing about Israel's use of tear-gas grenades, as security officials investigate the recent death of a protester at the weekly demonstration near the separation fence at the West Bank village of Bil'in. A 36-year-old woman, Jawaher Abu Rahmah, died on Saturday morning.
The medical report filed in the Ramallah hospital where Abu Rahmah was taken shows that her death was caused by respiratory failure resulting from the inhalation of tear gas.
Haaretz obtained the medical report on Sunday from Jawaher's brother, Ahmed Abu Rahmah.
Jawaher Abu Rahmah was the sister of Bassem Abu Rahmah, who was killed in April 2009 when Israeli soldiers fired a tear-gas grenade at his chest at a demonstration at the fence in Bil'in. Ahmed Abu Rahmah has three surviving brothers; their father died five years ago.
"My entire family is ruined," he said on Sunday. "The whole house feels a sense of catastrophe." He said he bears no hatred toward Israelis. "They are people just like myself. We don't seek vengeance against Israel. We want the return of our lands, and the struggle won't end until our property is restored."

This comes only days after another leading rabbi declared that the goyim (gentiles) "exist only to serve the Jews."
"According to true Jewish values, your lives come before those of the enemy, whether he is a soldier or a civilian under protection. Therefore, you are forbidden from endangering your own life for the sake of the enemy, not even for a civilian," Shapira declared.
Shapira was arrested over the summer for encouraging Jews to kill Gentiles in his book "The King's Torah." The preface of the book, which was published in November, states that it is forbidden to kill non-Jews - but the book then apparently describes the context in which it is permitted to do so.This comes only days after another leading rabbi declared that the goyim (gentiles)... more

IDF troops clashed with anti-settlement protesters in the West Bank village of Bait Ummar with soldiers using stun grenades and teargas to disperse the peaceful demonstration.
The rally started off calmly with Palestinian farmers, internationals and Israelis activists protesting against the ongoing land confiscations by a nearby Israeli settlement of Karmit Tzur. Trouble flared when the protest was blocked by the Israeli military border police, who used riot control munitions to force the crowd back.

The recent decline in Palestinian violence is not a result of Palestinian reform from within. It is a result of ongoing IDF operations in Judea and Samaria and in Gaza whose goals are to uproot the terror infrastructures present.
