That's right. Just because we're not in grammar school anymore, doesn't mean that we should loosen our grasp on grammar. Because let's face it: bad grammar makes you look stupid. Especially when it's written out for everyone to see.
"These days, we tend to communicate via the keyboard as much as we do verbally. Often we're in a hurry, quickly dashing off emails with typos, grammatical shortcuts (I'm being kind here), and that breezy, e.e. cummings, no-caps look."
Sound familiar? Take a look at this list of common mistakes and see where you're stumbling.

These fifth-graders were part of a program started by Spoons Across America: the Dinner Party Project, which was designed to teach kids about cooking, nutrition, meal planning, food safety, and etiquette.
"It sounds like a recipe for chaos: 20 fifth-graders in a school cafeteria kitchen on a muggy Saturday afternoon, preparing an ambitious seasonal menu for a guest list of 120. But at the Bridge School here late last month, everything was running like clockwork. The children were lined up, wearing aprons, ready to cook dinner for a crowd of parents, grandparents, siblings, and school and community leaders."

We have produced an edited version of a documentary we made on the struggles of a group of rural children of Puna of Peru and their teacher.
The Puna is the region of mountain range of the Andes between the 4.0 and 4.8 Km of altitude, arid tableland and the climate is cold, with very little precipitation.
Everyday the children have to travel for more than two hours on foot through mountainous terrain and rivers just to get to school Their teacher also has to travel a long distance to the school on a bus that sometimes doesn't reach it's destination. When the bus is not available she gets a ride on a truck. She is separated from her husband and children, she stays along in a cold class room with no electricity and her only source of water comes from an outside well with freezing water. Both the children and the teacher make a daily affort to get to the school. Nevertheless they lack the indispensable didactical materials. Their educational situation is typical of what children face in the rural areas of Peru.
The purpose of this video is to make people who live in cities aware of the reality that exists.Children and adults all over the world
should analize the educational system in the Third World. We have produced an edited version of a documentary we made on the struggles of a... more
