Bill O'Reilly has renewed a favorite Fox News theme: Viewers should be afraid of violent riots in the streets here in America. According to O'Reilly, there is much cause for concern because "36 percent of Americans who could be in of the workforce are not," and many of those people "get by on government entitlements." O'Reilly insisted those entitlements "will have to be" cut.
O'Reilly hosted Ben Stein, who predicted that "every single problem we see in Greece is coming our way." (Not true.) Stein also reserved an especially vicious comment for young people: "There are a lot of young people especially who don't have jobs who are very angry, have nothing better to do, who would like to riot, and rioting is fun for them."

Hilarious -- it’s almost comical to listen to O’Reilly sit there and pontificate about corruption and chide the government, when he works for one of the most corrupt, disingenuous, fact-free, pseudo-news organizations in the country. On the other hand, when he and Stewart trade barbs, it’s almost always entertaining. I think they genuinely like each other and definitely have the bro-mance thing goin’ on.

For all the people taking Rush Limbaugh to task for his three-day tirade against an innocent college student who testified about a friend's need for birth control pills to prevent cancer, the porcine filth merchant can count on at least one ally.
On Friday night's (March 2) O'Reilly factor, the host played "follow the leader" and picked up Limbaugh's attack on Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke, saying that she was "insisting that government pay for her social life."
Those living in the reality-based universe know that Ms. Fluke has done nothing of the sort. She testified before Congress that a friend of hers needs birth control pills to prevent serious medical complications, that birth control pills have more medical applications than just "not getting pregnant," and that many women need these pills for medical and family planning reasons. Therefore, why shouldn't these pills be included in the insurance coverage provided by religious employers like, say, Viagra is?

Bill Clinton, who was bombing Iraq, Serbia, and whose cabinet ordered the Waco Massacre?
REALLY?
***
Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki, alleged WikiLeaks whistleblower Bradley Manning, and former President Bill Clinton may be among the hundreds of nominees for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize, rights activists say.
The list of nominees, which is now officially closed for this year, is secret and Nobel officials would not comment on its contents. But experts have begun speculating about who is on the list and some people eligible to nominate candidates have publicized their suggestions. The committee added the final names for consideration on Friday.Bill Clinton, who was bombing Iraq, Serbia, and whose cabinet ordered the Waco... more

Fox News host Bill O’Reilly declared Monday evening that hatred for pro-life advocates is stronger in America than for gay people.
In a discussion about social issues, regular O’Reilly guest Bernie Goldberg condemned “the bigotry on the right” for attacking Ellen DeGeneres’ and the LGBT community.
“Reasonable people may disagree on gay marriage, that’s fine,” Goldberg said. “But to call on someone’s dismissal to be fired, to lose her job, because she’s gay, is bigotry. And I don’t care how many people listening to us right now don’t like that, it’s bigotry.”
But O’Reilly felt later on that another group received far more animosity throughout the nation.
“The bigotry against pro-life people is I think way more than the bigotry against gay people,” he said. “Particularly in the media because the media supports gay people in this country.”

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) is somehow still confused over the nationality and background of President Barack Obama.
Huckabee appeared on The O’Reilly Factor Friday evening to discuss the growing story of Mitt Romney unveiling his tax returns, saying the GOP candidate should do that based solely on one condition.
“Let him make this challenge,” he said. “I’ll release my tax returns when Barack Obama releases his college transcripts and the copy of his admission records to show whether he got any loans as a foreign student.”
Huckabee’s bizarre view of Obama stemmed from a 2009 email, based on an Associated Press April Fools joke, claiming Obama received a scholarship for foreign students while he attended Occidental College.
This isn’t the first time Huckabee has sorely lacked knowledge on Obama’s history. Last February, he wrongly claimed that Obama “grew up in Kenya.”

In their minds, the constant onslaught of Christmas imagery, programming and commercials during the months of November and December is simply not good enough; the salutation of “Happy Holidays” is a slap in the face to their sweet Baby Jesus and an insult to their religion, because, according to them, it’s their world, we’re just living in it.

Fox News pundit Bill O’Reilly likes to say he operates in a “no spin zone.” So when O’Reilly proclaimed recently that he wanted to install solar on his Long Island home, dozens of solar companies in New York took him at his word.
Speaking on his show to Alan Colmes last week, O’Reilly said he was ready to buy a solar system, but that he couldn’t find anyone in the area to do it: “There’s nowhere, no one,” he exclaimed.
Well, today, his predicament is solved. A group of 60 New York-based solar companies have signed an open letter to Mr. O’Reilly explaining that they’d be more than willing to help him make an investment in solar:
Dear Mr. O’Reilly,
We hear you are ready to go solar pending your ability to locate a solar provider. We represent some of the hundreds of solar companies currently operating in New York State. We would be happy to help you get started with your investment in solar so you can join the many New Yorkers who are already saving money on their monthly utility bills by generating their own power.
Signed,
Clean Power Finance
Community Energy
EcoOutfitters.net
Energy by Choice
ETM Solar Works
Innovated Energy Solutions
KPS Solar
Mercury Solar Systems
One Block Off the Grid
RH Innovation Inc
SolarCity
Sungevity
Sunrise Energy Concepts
SunRun
Suntech America
Trinity Solar
Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) – representing 20 companies with solar operations in New York.
Long Island Solar Energy Industries Association (LIPA) – representing 25 solar electric contractors on Long Island.
Dave Llorens, CEO fast-growing solar company One Block Off the Grid, says he could draft a quote for O’Reilly in minutes:
“There are tons of solar installers that work on Long Island. We can show him the economics of solar (and they are strong there) by whipping up a quote for his house in 10 minutes. If Bill is serious about actually installing solar, we’d be delighted to help him understand the investment.”
So there you have it: Can we take Bill O’Reilly, the self-proclaimed master of “no spin,” at his word? With the cost of solar continuing to fall and dozens of companies to choose from, this is the perfect opportunity for him to invest in a system.
If you want to see O’Reilly back up his word, we suggest sending him this tweet:

Bill O'Reilly welcomed radio host Tavis Smiley and Prof. Cornel West onto his Tuesday show. The resulting dust-up was nothing short of a cable news classic.
Smiley and West have become a bona fide double act, regularly making the cable news rounds. O'Reilly brought them on to discuss the Occupy Wall Street movement and poverty in America. He set up the conversation by saying that the two were overlooking key statistics in their battle against poverty that showed the problem to be as much one of "personal responsibility" as economic injustice. Then, he turned to West.
"Where am i going wrong?" he asked. West said that his "lens" was wrong, and that he was overlooking the widening economic inequality in America. "The oligarchs and plutocrats that you tend to want to promote rather intensely [are] not only doing well but been too greedy!" he said. "I don't think I'm promoting anybody who's doing untoward things," O'Reilly said. "We're talking about chronic excess!" West responded, causing O'Reilly to try to shut him up. "No filibustering here," O'Reilly snapped.
He said that what Smiley and West seemed to want was for the government to "forcibly seize" money from the rich and give it to the poor. "That's socialism and that's not going to work here," he concluded.
"It wasn't socialism when we bailed out the banks in the first place?" Smiley said. He started to say that O'Reilly had been "right" in a recent attack on Stanley O'Neal, the former head of Merril Lynch. O'Reilly misheard him.
"Lied about it?!" he thundered. "What do you mean i lied about it?!"
"I said you were right!" Smiley said. "R-i-g-h-t!" O'Reilly apologized, and assured his guests he was "calm." Things got a lot less calm right afterwards, though. Smiley asked why O'Reilly was focusing on O'Neal, one of the few black CEOs of a major firm, causing O'Reilly to shout, "we treat everybody the same here!" Smiley disagreed, and wondered why, when Occupy Wall Street protesters were being arrested, no "bankster" had gone to jail "to pay for his crimes."
"They didn't violate any laws!" O'Reilly said, prompting Smiley and West to essentially lose it. "OOOOOHHHHHHHH!" they both said together. "How do you know?!" West yelled. "There's been no investigations! Why would you say something like that?!"
"All right, knock it off!" O'Reilly fired back. "...You don't have any evidence!" West countered that, with no investigation, no criminality could be proven. "You take your law school at Princeton, you develop an illegality and I will put it on the air," O'Reilly said.
