Zohar 2:70b "And we learned a secret: (Zeh Sefer) This is the book. There is a book and then there is a book! A book above, a book below. The book below is called Book of Remembrance--book of that remembrance, namely a certain Righteous One, called zeh, this. And in order not to separate them, since they constantly as one, in a single union, it is written zeh sefer, this is the book--two rungs in one, totality of male and female.Zohar 2:70b "And we learned a secret: (Zeh Sefer) This is the book. Yitro represents the harvesting of those sparks of holiness that heretofore have resided in the other side. It is Yitro's acknowledgement of Hashem's greatness that puts those sparks back into their proper place. The subtle thread of connection that exists between all things would remain unnoticed were it not for our deliberate attention. This attention is really the influence of the concentration of thoughts about a specific subject. This subject being our higher awareness then must begin to reveal with increasing effectiveness the deeper secrets of connection that now have the benefit of our expanding attention. The subtle thread of connection that exists between all things would remain unnoticed... more

When we are speaking of Consciousness this right path means choosing our thoughts for their maximum 'good' potential. In other words we have to believe in where we are going and that in one way or another we are going to get there. This week's Piyut (poem) celebrates this feeling recounting the story of Moses and Israel along with Pharaoh and all the many miracles that give this story a time honored place not only in history but in the mystical psyche's of all who seek freedom and at last find it triumphantly. When we are speaking of Consciousness this right path means choosing our thoughts for... more

When we start to think about God our thoughts will come up short. This because the nature of God is by definition infinite. We cannot encompass any definition without reflecting upon its inadequacy. However it is also the nature of this infinity that provides us with myriad ways of approaching God. It is in this approach that we find our own version of connection above. When we start to think about God our thoughts will come up short. This because the... more

It must be stated that finding the Magnus Opus or the Great Work has been the subject of many a scholar’s study. Usually this is approached in a rather round about way couching much of the work in symbolism that needs intense deciphering and allegories that point in the general direction but however, never quite really take you there. The way is then filled with analogies and even missteps as if it really weren’t hard enough to figure out on its own merits of obscurity. It must be stated that finding the Magnus Opus or the Great Work has been the subject... more

The sea that the children of Israel cross is pregnant with meaning. It calls to mind most definitely the sea of Consciousness and it is here that the true journey is being made. The Kabbalah of the Zohar points out by reflection how Consciousness is directly related to the world around us.The sea that the children of Israel cross is pregnant with meaning. The symbols of Kabbalah teach us to be mindful of the past but more importantly we also learn simultaneously to be watchful of the future. Since Kabbalah in its aggregate is essentially a toolbox filled with the means for doing both we may learn how all of this pertains to this weeks Parasah Beshalach in its study of redemption, hesitation, faith and looking forward to the encounter on Sinai in the weeks to come. The symbols of Kabbalah teach us to be mindful of the past but more importantly we... more

Residents of a West Bank village with no electricity have been helped out of the darkness by unlikely benefactors – a group of Israelis who installed solar panels and wind turbines to illuminate the Palestinians' makeshift homes. The villagers of Susya live in tents and caves with power lines darting right above their dwellings, connecting a nearby Jewish settlement to the power grid while bypassing them entirely. It was this lack of basic services that drew the physicists from Comet-ME, a group of pro-peace Israeli scientists and activists, to this dusty, desolate area. Now the entire village of 300 people has access to power that is reliable, free and green. http://www.makeahistory.com/index.php/your-details/43054-israeli-scientistsactivists-bring-green-power-to-west-bank-village-susya-south-hebron-mountains-Residents of a West Bank village with no electricity have been helped out of the... more

Consciousness is constantly surpassing itself. Thoughts arise one after the other all seeking one thing and that is the unity of expression that is found by a relationship to a central core. In Kabbalah this central core is called Hashem or the name YHVH which is the lead player throughout Torah. It is both the subject of and the destination to where every story, phrase, word even letters one by one are directed to.Consciousness is constantly surpassing itself. Thoughts arise one after the other all... more

One of the ways in which Mind speaks to itself is through the arts. The continuous acts of Creation are built upon a multiplicity of operations all of them intertwining into a latticework of being. The contemplation of deity is the subject of Torah. In short each story is a continuation of the unfolding of the relationship between man and G-d. It is especially important here in Parasha Bo since the revelation has never before or since been so detailed and with so much demonstration of its effects as it does herein. This revelation is however, still but a prequel to the divine emanation that occurs further along on Mount Sinai. To all questions the Torah answers the same as the Zohar indicates in terms of the contemplation of deity. The contemplation of deity is the subject of Torah. In short each story is a... more

The goal that is paramount is to be able to move away from the status quo which binds our thoughts and actions in a place that stifles our creativity and dampens any chance we have at reaching our fullest potential. As Moses makes the divine connection he hears the one thing that is most important to him first which is the deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt, from their bondage. The goal that is paramount is to be able to move away from the status quo which binds... more
