Police in Russia have arrested three homeless men suspected of killing a man, eating part of the body and selling other parts to a kebab shop.
The men were held in the city of Perm, some 1,400km (870 miles) east of Moscow, local investigators said.
Their statement said that the suspects had targeted the 25-year-old victim out of "personal hostility".
It was not clear when the incident occurred. The men - who have not been named - have been charged with murder.
The investigators said on Friday that the body of the man had been found in a forested area near a public transport stop in Perm.
They said the three men attacked their victim with knives and a hammer.
"After carrying out the attack, the corpse was dismembered. Part of it was eaten and part was also sold to a kebab and pie kiosk," their statement said.
It is not yet clear if any customers have been served the body meat.

"The words highlighted above are the perfect summation of how I feel about my father. However, we are bound like a book, and I believe our words, like a novel, are already written. Read this post which is so dear to my heart and let me know your thoughts. I think anyone with a father can relate somehow to this piece. Maybe Ethers, you can give me SOME hope? If we keep using the book analogy...and the picture above....the page is not fully printed. Maybe there's time to add more text to it."
This is a blog that is so touching, so well-written and anyone with a parent can relate to. This is a must-read. Really. Unbelievable. The best post I've read in forever. I cried. The caption under the picture reads:

Thea Cox, a burglar caught stealing make-up and women’s clothes has been spared a prison sentence after a judge decided she had endured “a rotten life” as a transsexual.
Cox, 54, was originally given a suspended 12-week prison sentence for having an offensive weapon with her as she carried out four burglaries last year.
She returned to the same student flats this summer and carried out two further raids – on each occasion while wearing an electronic tag.
The court heard that Cox carried out her raids while "vulnerable" and suffering from severe anxiety.
Outside court the burglar, who was christened Timothy, blamed her life of crime on the public’s reaction to her change of sex 26 years ago.
“I have had a remarkable amount of abuse. I’ve been hit with sticks and stones and had a hand put up my skirt to check on my gender.
The court heard that Cox used a library card to open the locks of her victims’ flats. As well as stealing clothes and toiletries, she made off with alcohol and food.
Thea has obviously been through a hard time, where she has been forced to steal essentials such as food and toiletries instead of expensive gadgets, what type of post op care is given to these men and women who put themselves through this type of operation?
what jobs can they have where they are not going to be open for abuse from the ignorant members of the general public?
This was a desperate transexual who now has to re-build their life around the stigma of other people's prejudices, so how do you do that in a society where you need to work if you want to eat and clothe yourself properly and wear a bit of make up?

From the site: "What does “being a Man” mean to you? How have your views changed throughout your life on Manhood? What do you feel your place in the World is? In the life of your Family? These are questions we have been asking ourselves lately, and we feel that in reaching out and asking other Men around the world their feelings about their place in the world, it might help us all understand a little more about ourselves and our own place in the World. Perhaps we can all gain a little more understanding about how others, from different generations and different social, ethnic and political backgrounds, feel about issues common to all of us. How does a thirty year-old feel about his place in Turkey as opposed to a thirty year-old in Kansas? Are we really that different? These are the questions this project is looking to help answer."Hello all.

Cheetahs are the fastest land mammal! Capable of reaching speeds in excess of 70mph they are an amazing animal, unfortunately we are not working fast enough to save them in the wild. It is estimated their numbers globally have declined by over 90% in the last 100 years!
Namibia is one of the last refuges of the remaining world Cheetah population. A quarter of all the remaining cats are found in Nambia. A local thorn bush species is invading the savannah in the country, causing over US$90 million each year in lost revenue to Namibian farmers, whilst also destroying the native habitat of the fastest of the cats. Now the Cheetah Conservation Fund has pioneered a scheme to clear the thorn bush and turn it into cheap fuel briquettes. The project is creating jobs at the same time as helping to restore the hunting ground of the endangered cheetah.

The scorched moonscape of Atacama stretches for hundreds of miles on both sides of the Pan-American highway, undisturbed by any sign of human activity. About 75km south of the town of Antofagasta, its monotony is shattered by a sight even more alien then the desert itself, and yet undoubtedly human: an 11-meter-tall hand protruding out of the sand. The scorched moonscape of Atacama stretches for hundreds of miles on both sides of the... more
