All who will join in organizing a task force to identify the top ten ideas required to begin reforming our nation for the benefit of the PEOPLE, and to identify those persons who can be entrusted to embrace and promote these ideas, and launch a website to raise money to support a candidate who will endorse and run for president on a platform of these ideas, please identify yourselves herein or contact us privately. We need both tech and media savvy individuals and those who can connect with various action groups, as well as the college community.
Our sole purpose is to reform government in ways which will return the power and control of government and this nation to the people, which are the body and soul of this nation, and from which all authority derives. After organizing a working structure, and along with our general mission, we will simultaneously campaign for the first two most crucial issues to reclaiming our rightful control of government. Both issues relate to reinstating the direct voice, power, influence and vote in government which the influence of corporate money in government has eroded, if not eliminated.
No. 1, is National Referendum Votes. This will give the people a direct vote and voice in any single or group of steps which we might choose to vote directly on. Without the National Referendum ( direct ) Vote, we will never be able to bypass the influence of money which continuously bribes our elected legislators in both parties, and we will always be swaying in the wind of corrupted government theatrics that accomplish nothing but further deteriorating the PEOPLE'S rights and properties. With the National Referendum Vote, however, we will be able to address and correct every other issue which now contributes to our individual and collective pain and decline.
No. 2, is to replace the Electoral College fraudulent voting system with one person / one vote general elections. The Electoral College was designed for a time when the population was wholly ignorant and uninformed. Today, with public education; (although Corporatocracy is trying to eradicate that), and the mass media of the internet, the PEOPLE are sufficiently educated, informed, and aware to justify returning the responsibility of casting their own votes. The current Electoral College has, and continues to, permitted the corrupt practice of "gerrymandering", redistricting for the purpose of manipulating election outcomes, every time Republicans can finagle the scam. This practice subverts and often nullifies the PEOPLE'S actual voting will. Once we replace the corrupt system with one person / one vote direct elections, we will be able to get campaign finance reform through congress, along with numerous other corrective measures, and be on a direct fast track to restoring to ourselves and this country all that we are entitled to. Please join in.All who will join in organizing a task force to identify the top ten ideas required to... more

Few would argue that there are a whole host of problems with the current status quo in the legal education system that need to be addressed. Students are charged exorbitant sums, only to enter a job market where their chances of finding employment (in the legal profession, anyway) are fairly slim.

As with all life essential needs, citizens have the right to collective bargaining and self provisioning without having to pay for corporate fat cat big salaries, boards of directors, investor dividends, and corporate's traditional huge subsidies to corporate lobbyists and legislators who act against us. If we can fulfill our needs better and cheaper than commercial interests can, then we are entitled to do just that, without making others rich at our expense! Meeting life's essential needs, food, water, shelter, energy, and health care should not be subject to the uncertainties and vagaries of capitalist interests. Capitalism is more appropriate in non life essential commodities and services such as recreational clothing, automobile choices, restaurants, sporting goods and activities, ... If we eliminate corporatocracy from food, water, energy, and health care, we can collectively, through our representative government, provide ourselves with those needs in the best quality at the best price.
"Right-wingers, insurance companies, and other opponents of health care reform in the United States are always looking for ways to blame the government for the failures of our health care system. But the simple truth is that they have it backwards: our problems with health care are firmly rooted in the private sector. That is why the average high-income country – where government is vastly more involved in health care – spends half as much per person on health care as we do, and has better health outcomes."
"The most effective way to insure everyone and make our health care system affordable would have been to expand Medicare to everyone, while beginning the process of reducing costs through negotiation with, and restructuring incentives for, the private sector. The private insurance companies use up hundreds of billions annually on administrative costs, marketing, and other waste – which is what you would expect from companies who maximize profit by insuring the healthy and trying to avoid paying for the sick."
"We also spend nearly $300 billion on pharmaceuticals each year, most of which is waste due to the patent monopolies of pharmaceutical companies. We could eliminate most of this waste through further public financing of pharmaceutical research, with new drugs sold as low-cost generics. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced legislation in the Senate to realize these savings."

A group of protesters filed into the lobby of the Republican National Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. yesterday to demand the GOP support immigration reforms in the DREAM Act, which would let undocumented immigrants who came to America as children to stay in the country provided they get an education.
“Up-up with education! Down-down with deportation!” they chanted. “Undocumented! Unafraid! DREAM Act now!”
Republicans have worked to block passage of the DREAM Act in spite of its popular support and the urging of President Barack Obama. It failed to clear the U.S. Senate before the 2010 elections but was reintroduced by Democrats last month, even though the last round of voting makes it less likely to pass.

This is a teaser for an article that I posted on my Blog MINNESOTA JUDICIAL REFORM
AND ACCOUNTABILITY [ http://bit.ly/jPM1H8 ]. It includes Proposed Legislation that I have sent to my Minnesota US 6th District Representative, Michele Bachmann. In my humble opinion, this should be the single most important issue of the 2012 Elections.
Upon reading my article and proposed legislation, I believe you will reach the same conclusion that I have: Sovereign Immunity is a fraud. It was not provided for in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. It results from a deliberate and fraudulent Judicial Interpretation to the 11th Amendment. Sovereign Immunity is what prevents WE THE PEOPLE from suing and holding accountable our Elected Officials, Judges, Government and Government Agencies and Government Bureaucrats. For we rank and file citizens, the political party that you belong to should not be a consideration in supporting this proposed legislation. After reading my article, I believe you will be as angry and motivated for this proposed reform as I am.
If Upon reading this, you find yourself in agreement with my assessment and proposed Legislation Please contact Representative Michele Bachmann [ http://bachmann.house.gov ] at the following voice and fax numbers.

LEGAL EVIL? In their own words - Revised and Updated to include Proposed Legislation Language sent to my MN US Representative, Michele Bachmann [ http://bit.ly/jPM1H8 ]
With the US Judiciary's reputation for integrity and honesty firmly embedded in the minds of WE THE PEOPLE, what standing does any single Citizen have to challenge their reputations? To overcome this handicap, I will use the American Legal System’s own words to expose the true nature of their integrity and character.
Let us begin with the words of former FBI director J Edgar Hoover:
"The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.''
Next, I am going to use the words of Judges themselves. Judges allege that they reach conclusions by citing existing case law aka previous rulings of judges.
In my research on immunity for Judges and States, I was astonished and dismayed to learn the liberties the Judges had taken, and leaps of logic they had used, to interpret and write case law and rules in their favor.
The first cases I will cite are:
Wiggins v Hess (1976, CA8 Mo) 531 F2d 920
"Judicial immunity applies even when judge acts maliciously and corruptly; judge loses his immunity from liability for damages in violation of 42 USCS &1983 ONLY if he acts in clear absence of jurisdiction."
and:
Holloway v Walker (1985, CA5 Tex) 765 F2d 517
"Judges absolute immunity from suit under 42 USCS & 1983 for actions take under jurisdiction is not avoided by allegation that the acts are performed pursuant to bribe or conspiracy."......

Law enforcement officials and prosecutors are concerned that a recent Mass. Supreme Court decision will hamper efforts to prosecute people for driving under the influence of drugs. Another concern is that marijuana drug busts will be harder to justify.
Defense lawyers, however, agree with the Supreme Court decision. Massachusetts, like Kentucky, passed a state ballot in 2008 decriminalizing possession of one ounce or less of marijuana. The court ruled the police need more cause than marijuana odor to order someone to exit a car. The odor of marijuana, the court found, is not indicative of criminal activity.
Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said, “If a police officer smells the distinctive odor of marijuana, if their training and experience tells them something else is going on, they should be able to do their jobs.”

In 1986, Richard Kimball, a Democratic state legislator in Arizona, was running for a US Senate seat. In a televised debate, he did something that absolutely astonished his opponent and completely confounded his campaign consultants: He looked directly into the camera and spoke the truth about the money corruption of big-time American politics.
"Understand what we do to you," Kimball said to viewers. "We spend all of our time raising money, often from strangers we do not even know. Then we spend it in three specific ways: First we measure you, what it is you want to purchase in the political marketplace--just like Campbell's soup or Kellogg's cereal. Next, we hire some consultants who know how to tailor our image to fit what we sell. Lastly, we bombard you with the meaningless, issueless, emotional nonsense that is always the result. And whichever one of us does that best will win."
http://www.hightowerlowdown.org/node/2603
Unfortunately for Kimball he was not the best bamboozler on the ballot--he lost big to John McCain, who's presently in his 25th year as an Arizona senator. Ironically, McCain himself became a champion of campaign finance reform for a while. But he totally abandoned that pose about three years ago and has now wedged himself tightly into his senate seat with the very same kind of special interest campaign cash and vacuous politicking that Kimball had so rightly condemned.
The corporate money of 1986 was like a light drizzle compared to the torrential downpour in last year's congressional elections. And, sure enough, the 2010 campaigns (including McCain's ugly re-election bid) bombarded voters with a level of "meaningless, issueless, emotional nonsense" that even Kimball could not have imagined. Nor has this ridiculous, inherently corrupting campaign money system come anywhere near its full power--a tsunami of corporate cash is already rising for 2012.
Politicians are the sellers, but who--specifically--is buying America's democracy? We will devote this and one other issue of the Lowdown to answering this crucial question.
This month, drawing on donor reports that individuals and corporations must file with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC), we're identifying many of the largest givers to last year's Republican victors in the House and Senate. With officials in Washington now pushing hard to strengthen the grip that big bankers and corporations have over consumers, workers, the environment, and others, the public has a right to follow the money, including--where possible--tracing the funds to recognizable brand names and logos.
In our second issue, we'll do the best we can to lift the veil on the massive amounts of secret cash that was funneled into the 2010 elections through corporate front groups. This "mystery money" is the diabolical product of the Supreme Court's edict last year that corporations are "persons" with a First Amendment right to spend unlimited and unreported sums of their shareholders' funds to pervert America's elections.
Both issues of the Logo Lowdown are largely based on the exhaustive, nationally recognized research of two excellent public interest groups: OpenSecrets and SunlightFoundation. In this month's report, we break the donors into industry groups, listing corporate interests that gave $100,000 or more, with at least 60 percent of their money going to support Republican candidates. We also list the top Democratic donors.

On Sunday over 35 thousand Moroccans took to the streets in protest against the current constitution.
Thousands took to the streets in cities across Morocco on Sunday demanding better civil rights and an end to corruption in the moderate North African country where the king this month promised constitutional reform.
"Morocco should start drawing some serious lessons from what's happening around it," said Bouchta Moussaif, who was among at least two thousand people marching alongside the city's medieval walls in the capital Rabat.
Thousands joined protests in Morocco's main city, Casablanca, in Tangiers in the north, and in Agadir on the Atlantic coast where witness Hafsa Oubou said several thousands were marching.
A government official said at least as many were protesting as on February 20 when interior ministry estimates were 37,000.
Unrest has swept across North Africa since December, toppling regimes in Tunisia and Egypt, prompting international military intervention against Libya, and protests in Algeria.
"The king did not meet the demands made during the first nationwide protest, that's why we are here again. He promised to reform the constitution and we all know how far those promises have got us," Moussaif said.
Morocco's King Mohamed promised on March 9 to reform the judiciary, create a stronger role for parliament and political parties and boost the authority of local officials, and appointed a committee to work with political parties, trade unions and civil society groups to draw up proposals by June.
"The Moroccan people want something that goes beyond the king's speech," said Abdelhamid Amine of AMDH human rights group. "They want their society to cease being one of subjects and become a society of citizenship."
Added Moncef Haddari, 82, said: "We will demonstrate until we get a new constitution chosen by the people."
POLITICAL PRISONERS
Many women, some with hijab fully covering their faces, carried pictures of relatives jailed in the wake of a security crackdown that saw thousands of people sentenced to often long prison terms after 12 suicide bombers killed 33 people in Casablanca in 2003.
"My son has been on death row for seven years now. They have sentenced him to death because he prays. Death for being a good Muslim," said Zahra Sahif, who carried a pink prison visit card with both her picture and her son's.
"They did not even give him the chance for an appeal," she continued. "What kind of justice is this? Is it because the Americans give them money?"
King Mohamed VI succeeded his father in 1999 and holds ultimate power in the country of 32.6 million. Some in the crowd carried his picture and said they wanted changes under which the country would remain a kingdom.
"We all are for our king. But I agree that the prime minister and the king's two aides should get out," said protester Dalila, referring to Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi, Mohamed Mounir El-Majidi, the king's secretary who has made a fortune from billboard advertising and Fouad Ali Himma, a classmate of the king and former deputy interior minister.
"We want an end to the corruption you find everywhere," said Dalila, a woman dressed in Western clothes.
Some protesters carried brooms as they chanted "We want an end to corruption." A few people carried cardboard "F"s, a reference to the Internet site Facebook which has played an important role in helping organising anti-government protests.
The Socialists' USFP party announced late on Saturday that it would join the protest -- the first government coalition party to do so.
Morocco was seen as less likely to face public protests than other countries in North Africa and the Middle East, but calls for change have intensified as people sense a rare opportunity.

The one year anniversary of the Obama health law is March 23rd. While the law is not fully implemented, the indications from its first year are that it is falling far short of its goals and may not result in any increase in health insurance coverage, control of the costs or improvement in health in the U.S. Further, health insurance coverage is becoming less adequate while getting more expensive -- unaffordable insurance will be the norm in America. The insurance industry needs to be removed from its role in health care if the United States is ever going to cover everyone in America. Improved Medicare for all in a single payer system is the only solution to the health care crisis.
At its one year anniversary the Obama health care law is shrinking while the health care crisis grows. Americans who lack any health coverage still exceeds 50 million, over 45,000 deaths occur annually due to lack of health insurance, and 40 million Americans, including over 10 million children, are underinsured.
Premiums are rising and coverage is shrinking a new norm is taking hold in America: ‘Unaffordable underinsurance.’ This month, the number of waivers granted to the Obama health law broke 1,000 protecting inadequate insurance plans. The expansion of health insurance to the uninsured is becoming a mirage. The Obama administration has told states they could reduce the number of people covered by Medicaid as well as reduce the services provided. And, the centerpiece of the law is under court challenge – the mandate is the first time ever the federal government has forced Americans to buy a corporate product, private health insurance – is heading to a close Supreme Court decision.
The New Norm: ‘Unaffordable underinsurance’
To make insurance premiums affordable, the quality of insurance will need to be reduced so there is less coverage and more out-of-pocket costs, as Don McCanne, MD, Senior Health Policy Fellow for Physicians for a National Health Program writes: “’Unaffordable underinsurance’ is rapidly becoming the new standard in the United States.” The trend in health insurance is rising premiums and shrinking coverage for many Americans who get their coverage at work as well as on the individual insurance market.......

(A letter to me from the Ohio Democratic Party i'd like to share with you after multiple demonstrations in my hometown and all over Ohio against Kasichs Budget cuts and Union breaking his popularity has plummeted rightly so.. and Buckeyes are leading the fight with a lower approval rating than Wis. Gov Walker )
Polls show that the majority of Ohioans – and the majority of Americans – are on our side in this fight. And thanks to your efforts to get our message out, the latest poll shows Kasich’s approval at just 40 percent, making him even LESS popular in Ohio than Gov. Scott Walker is to the people of Wisconsin. Ohioans simply don’t support what John Kasich is trying to do as Governor.
This didn’t happen by accident – it happened because Ohioans like you stood up and made your voices heard. Ohioans like you wrote letters to the editor, talked to friends and neighbors, attended rallies and more. And when you spoke out, our message resonated with the people of Ohio.
You have made a huge difference so far. Help us continue to get our message out.
Today, Gov. Kasich will release his administration’s budget. Over the next few weeks, we have perhaps our best chance to show all Ohioans that this is their fight, too. We must make sure the people of our state know that the Republican agenda isn’t just an attack on union members; it is a full-scale assault on all middle class families, students, seniors and more.
In order to get our message out more broadly, . The Ohio Democratic Party is devoting 100 percent of its resources to exposing the Republicans – and we need your help to keep up this fight.
Make no mistake, John Kasich’s budget will hurt nearly all Ohioans, and it is our job to let them know exactly what harm Kasich is trying to do. If we expand our fight, we can create a larger movement and mobilize tens of thousands more Ohioans to take action against John Kasich’s agenda.
Thank you for your dedication to this effort.
Sincerely,
Chris Redfern
Chairman, Ohio Democratic Party
P.S. John Kasich doesn’t want Ohioans to know how devastating his budget is, so he has forbidden the media from broadcasting his budget announcement. Then, he will discuss his budget during an invitation-only event (link to donate to the fight at my site thanks )(A letter to me from the Ohio Democratic Party i'd like to share with you after... more

Yikes! You won't believe the real jobless numbers

The real U.S. unemployment rate may be 22.1 percent for February, not the 8.9 percent reported by the government, according to economist John Williams, author of the "Shadow Government Statistics" website, who has argued for years that the federal government manipulates the reporting of economic data for political purposes.

A number of us wishing to do more to achieve the reform of government that is being demanded, have decided to put a name to the (collective) efforts which constitute this movement. It is merely, The Reform Revolution.
We are openly asking Russ Feingold to act as an advisor on congressional reform.
We are openly asking Matt Taibbi to serve as an advisor on financial reform.
We are asking for suggestions and recommendations of others to act as advisors on these same issues, plus on the military, the budget, entitlements and all primary issues which are seriously affecting the state of the union and the people therein.
All are welcome to participate in the reclaiming and reforming of our government. All are welcome to contribute ideas and suggestions which need acting upon, in order to facilitate achieving these objectives. We particularly need the participation of those who can literally help organize and perform, actions and events which contribute to reform. Those who are unable to participate in actual events, may be able to help coordinate them.
At this time, we recommend interacting with USUncut.org to help coordinate protests of those issues and concerns which currently contribute to the corruption of government and the country. We believe that the best next step is to ramp up, and maximize the benefit of, those protests that have already begun in Wisconsin and beyond, which can best be coordinated by utilizing the US Uncut site. We ask that you expand upon those protests by introducing other relevant issues to them, and address the broader issue, and not merely a symptom of it. Since there is no central planning to US Uncut, we encourage more communication on that issue herein.
At this time, we encourage protests at every state capitol where legislative attacks on the rights, liberties and freedoms of individuals is being waged. And that battle is being waged all around the country. We believe in perpetual protests, continuing until the issue being protested is resolved in the people's favor.
We also encourage the protest of every corporation, their subsidiaries and products, that are socially parasitic, destructive of the environment or are aggressively antisocial. Please post the corporations, products and services which you identify as such, herein.
We will continue to use this forum to communicate for now. However, this particular thread is meant more for action related communication, as opposed to pure philosophical expression. Thank you, from each of us who are committing ourselves to reclaiming the legacy that was bequeathed to us by our founding fathers, for any and all effort that you can contribute to our common cause.A number of us wishing to do more to achieve the reform of government that is being... more

WASHINGTON (CNNMoney) -- House Republicans calling for smaller government and less spending have a big new target: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The bureau was the most popular part of the Wall Street reforms passed into law last year. But it was also the most politically controversial, barely emerging after more than a year's worth of legislative wrangling.
The bureau is an independent agency, funded by fees that banks pay to the Federal Reserve. Beginning on July 21, it will be charged with regulating credit cards, mortgages and other financial products like payday loans.
But Republican lawmakers, who've already made good on promises to pass bills to roll back health care reform and undo environmental initiatives, want to take a bite out of the consumer bureau and bring it under their control.
...
"Politicizing the funding of bank supervision would be a dangerous precedent," Warren said in a speech to the Consumer's Union last week. "It would deprive the CFPB of the predictable funding it will need to examine large and powerful banks consistently and to provide a level playing field with their nonbank competitors."
