THIS IS AWESOME! I am very fortunate to have found A benefit package that me and my 7 kids can use everytime we visit our dentist and recieve a great discount. I mean this is really unbelievable, until you use the discount program yourself you will not be able to really appreciate the savings that occur. Im just posting because once I was included as a member and saved I was thinking "A person can really make a living providing this to uninsured homes"
so I started reserching and called the person that signed me as a member and became an independent business owner (IBO) and now im spreading the news everywhere 24/7.
I have since found that their are more than 100million americans that has either no coverage or just paying to much for healthcare and it's projected to become even more costly.
listen to me! Their are many insurance companies that leave us out in the cold after taking or money claming that we were not well when we signed OR we have to pay an extremly large deductible after paying years of monthly payments to are insurance providers for a service rendered. Don't make sense to pay all that time and still have to pay deductibles when we have companies such as this http://deliveringonthepromise.com/cbgreene that helps you be the one receiving the savings and gains. So I urge you all to check out the savings and if their is something that im missing please let me know...

Blue Cross of California sent out letters this week requesting that doctors notify the insurer of patients that had pre-existing conditions prior to coverage so that they could cancel high-expense policies. Many doctors are alarmed that this would violate patient confidentiality as well as potentially harm patients that would lose coverage.Blue Cross of California sent out letters this week requesting that doctors notify the... more

Certain women have been denied health insurance by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield because of online writings and posts pointing to “emotional” causes of disorders such as bulimia and anorexia.
But why would this matter whether it was emotionally or biologically based? Here’s the catch:
The insurer is only required to pay for illnesses that are biologically based, so they are attempting to prove through Facebook, Myspace, etc. that the reasons behind them are purely emotional.

I, for one, am disgusted by the horror stories about our health care system. It's just RIDICULOUS. This needs serious attention. It's NOT just a platform debate, this is REAL, and it REALLY matters to a lot of people. In this blog, I propose a new approach to our health care crisis. I propose that WE create our OWN health insurance "unions"; fully non-profit. Can we really afford to wait for the government to AGREE on something? How many people will die in the process? No, we can't wait. We have to take matters into our own hands, and form an insurance union by the people, for the people. With enough support and funding, we can put pressure on existing companies to shape up, or ship out. It can be done, and it needs to be done. All we need is some bright people, and some big funds, and we can make sure that NO member is EVER denied the care that they need. Sound off!I, for one, am disgusted by the horror stories about our health care system.... more

My beautiful sister, a 43 year old mom with two small children has been denied potential life saving care because of her insurance, NOT because she doesn't have it and hasn't been paying thru the nose for years.
She has been fighting breast cancer for 7 years. We need to get her to a facility that specializes in late stage cancer and that has an integrative approach as we have exhausted all that is available in CT. Her insurance co. has been completely un co-operative - they have stalled getting proper documentation to the hospital - they offered to MAIL it within 7 to 10 days - like they don't have a fax or a computer. They said this every time we needed any document. After we chased documents for two weeks, they did fax what we needed - a one page confirmation of benefits came as a 110 page fax, causing yet another delay.
The insurance company's actions have been unconscionable. Her current hospital has overmedicated her, put in the wrong size port and when another hospital recognized the error and she was infected, they refused to remove it because they were not the ones who put it in. Her current hospital ended up putting a new port in because they said "it would make it easier for the nurses" to administer medicine. There are many stories - my main concern is to get her to a facility that can treat her illness and with some dignity.
In the end, 3 weeks later, when time is very critical, the hospital we need to get her to has now refused her insurance. It is from a major insurance company. Well, we don't like them either but what choice do we have?? None. Once you are diagnosed, you can't change insurance companies. No one will take you. I am wondering- is this what they call the "free market?" I have not been able to speak to anyone to appeal this decision or to even negotiate it. It seems insurance companies dictate whether you can receive treatment, where you can go to get it, how quickly or not they will respond to your requests for benefits - all based on their bottom line, not the patient, the person who has been PAYING them to TAKE CARE OF THEM WHEN THEY ARE SICK!
This believe me is the short version.
What do we do??My beautiful sister, a 43 year old mom with two small children has been denied... more

The family of a California teenager plan to sue her health insurer which refused to pay for a liver transplant until hours before she died on Thursday night.
Her family's lawyer, Mark Geragos, will ask the Los Angeles district attorney to press murder or manslaughter charges against Cigna HealthCare, arguing that the firm "maliciously killed" Nataline Sarkisyan by its reluctance to pay for her treatment. The company reversed its stance after protesters called for a rethink, but the decision came too late. The family of a California teenager plan to sue her health insurer which refused to... more

Bush on Wednesday was ready to veto legislation that passed with bipartisan support to dramatically expand government-provided health insurance for children. It would be Bush's seventh veto in seven years. Bush vetoed an earlier version of the health insurance program. It would increase funding for the State Children's Health Insurance Program by $35 billion over five years, in order to add an estimated 4 million people to an existing program that provides insurance coverage for children from families who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but cannot afford private insurance. The joint federal-state program currently provides benefits to roughly 6 million people, mostly children.Bush on Wednesday was ready to veto legislation that passed with bipartisan support to... more

If youre a smoker and work for Tribune Co., get ready to pay $100 per month for your habit. Starting in 08 Tribune is assessing this new fee, along with a $75/month for spousal coverage.
Tribune Company spokesman Gary Weitman defended the move by saying, We pay the lion's share of medical expenses and we have a responsibility to contain those costs. We are and have been doing everything we can; it is a shared responsibility between employees and the company.
The new assessment however has drawn union fire as two Teamster locals at The Sun of Baltimore have already filed a grievance against Tribune claiming the fee, violates a contract provision limiting health care premium increases to 4% per year.
Bill Salganik, president of the Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild and a Sun reporter claims that, (other) employers try to encourage healthy living, but they do it in a constructive way by developing programs for weight management and smoking cessation. But Tribune immediately went negative."
However, a friend of mine (who works for Tribune) stated that as she scanned through this new policy found that, they pay for your smoking cessation programs, and if you complete it you don't have to pay the smokers' fee.
What are your thoughts?
Are these new fees just a hidden premium? Or does Tribune mean to promote good health through what theyre now calling a wellness initiative? And does it stop with just a smoker fee? Or do companies begin assessing alcohol taxes or even fast food taxes?

A highly unusual battle erupted in a San Diego courtroom Friday, with parents of a severely premature baby seeking to force healthcare giant Kaiser Permanente to move their son to a better-equipped hospital in hopes of saving his life.In the morning, Superior Court Judge Kevin Enright gave Kaiser's San Diego hospital 24 hours to transfer 7-week-old Andrew Balaka-Long to a higher-level neonatal intensive care unit outside the Kaiser network. His father, a gynecologist, had argued that Kaiser had bungled the boy's care -- an allegation Kaiser vehemently denied.Hours later, however, Enright rescinded his order after Kaiser lawyers told him that they could not find another hospital willing to accept the infant. The judge asked both sides to return to court Tuesday morning.A highly unusual battle erupted in a San Diego courtroom Friday, with parents of a... more
