German police suspect the Lebanese militant group, Hezbollah, of using drug trafficking in Europe to fund part of its activities, German magazine Der Spiegel reported on Saturday.

This just came across my desk about an hour ago, and I have only found one other article on the Web about it, so I figured I should post it here. I have no way to know if these area legit (I tend to doubt it, seems more like clever Israeli propaganda), but they are interesting nontheless. Too bad the paint such a one-sided view of Islam, Lebanon and Iran :(
There are two of these, on focused on Hezbollah and one on Iran. I am posting the other one below as well. On a quick note, a few things need stated as well:
1. Nasrallah and Hezbollah are based in Lebanon primarily, and the last time I looked, we're not exactly importing a lot of oil from Lebanon...
2. While Iran exports about 2.52 million bbl/day (2006 est.) of oil, unless the US plans to stop buying from OPEC, it's hard to see how we could take Iranian oil out of the domestic loop
3. Right now the US imports about 66.19% of its oil, as of 2007, according to the EIA, so hybrid cars would only make a small dent in that amount..
4. Since when did the auto industry get recruited for the War on Terrorism?
