Giants fall to Eagles 45-38
DECEMBER 13, 2009
Everyone expected an old-fashioned NFC East slugfest between the Giants and Philadelphia Eagles Sunday night. What they got was an unexpected display of big and exciting plays. The Eagles made more of them and walked out of Giants Stadium with a 45-38 victory that left the Giants’ postseason hopes teetering on the brink.
The Eagles, who won their fourth consecutive game, took over first place in the NFC East with a 9-4 record. Dallas is second at 8-5 and the Giants fell into third at 7-6.

Broncos’ Marshall sets NFL single-game record with 21 catches
“I believe it was one of those games where, whenever you accomplish something like that, it definitely feels good,” he said. “But we have goals, and our only goal is to win games. I’d definitely trade in a couple of those catches for a win.”

It’s pretty rare that a football odds maker would make a team that finished 8-8 an overwhelming favorite to win a division but that’s exactly what the San Diego Chargers are. NFL Over/Under Season Win Totals-Mike Rodriguez
This is the Over and Under odds for team wins in the 2009 season. For those who don’t know, the numbers next to the win totals are the payouts as far as what you need to put up in order to place the bet. For example to bet on the Patriots to win Over 11.5 wins next year, you would have to put up $120 to win $100 (Over -120). If the odds are a positive number then it works the opposite way; for example to bet the Titans to not win more than 9.5 games next year (Under +120) you would win $120 on a $100 bet. It’s always easier to use a $100 bet to figure out how much you would need to bet, but is not required as a minimum to place a bet.NFL Over/Under Season Win Totals-Mike Rodriguez

Stock Rising
Maurice Jones-Drew - After losing veteran Fred Taylor to the Patriots in free agency, the power running game in Jacksonville looked bleak. The O-line was in shambles, putting even more pressure on April’s NFL draft class, but the Jags struck gold drafting two offensive linemen on day one (Eugene Monroe & Eben Britton), both of whom were steals. Teamed up with seasoned veteran Tra Thomas who was signed in free agency, the Jaguars have rebuilt their offensive unit. This new line will create time in the passing game and holes in the running game, making Jones-Drew our first must have fantasy player of 2009. We’re not saying Jones-Drew is a top 5 pick, but I wouldn’t be pissed off getting him in the bottom of the first round.
Sleeper: RB Rashad Jennings - A late round steal by the Jags that could help the running game by picking up those tough short yards. Jennings will not get the same amount of carries as Fred Taylor did, but at 6’1”, 230 lbs, he will definitelyStock Rising

Grading The Draft: AFC WEST
Oakland Raiders
1(7) WR Darrius Heyward-Bey- Where do we begin; this pick may haunt the Raiders for years. Gridiron Experts would like to go on record and say that Heyward-Bey will be the next Troy Williamson or Ted Ginn Jr. Al Davis needs to allow his coaches to make the decisions, as his love for speed is destroying the Raiders. Heyward Bey will have more pressure on him than any other player in the draft. If he can overlook the fact that Raider fans wanted Crabtree and just go out and play, then his future could be great in OaGrading The Draft: AFC WEST

We’ve heard it all before. We’re hearing it again, and the song keeps playing like a broken record. “We’re close. We’ve just got to keep working and we’ll figure it out.“ At this point, Raider Nation could collaboratively write a country music smash hit. At least that record hasn’t been heard yet. If Kiffin is fired, Raider Nation could be hearing that record played again, and again, and again over the next several years...We’ve heard it all before. After the first game of the season, where the Raiders bombed out on Monday Night Football against the Broncos, it was pretty certain in many people’s minds that the Raiders weren’t going to worry about winning this season for a coach on the chopping block. We said as much here and many of the media pundits and former players said so as well. Since that time, we’ve seen inspired performances by a team that many consider an afterthought in the race for the playoffs, and since this team should be sitting near the top of the AFC West with a 2-1 record, the questions have come again and Kiffin had the answers....After the first game of the season, where the Raiders bombed out on Monday Night... more
