How would you feel if you had to go full circle and go back and live with your parents! This is a humorous rant from our 20 something year old blogger who is stuck living with her parents until she can get on her feet with a job and money. But in this recession, it doesn’t look promising and her parents are making her nuts. Really interesting insight into another family, a humorous attempt to show her parents oddities (her dad screaming obscenities at the TV and mom not wearing a bra I front of her partner—very humiliating). We all got em’, it’s how we live with them that’s key.
Blogger has an amazingly eclectic site with everything from beauty, fashion, diary style entries, poetry, life in the magazine world----this girl has everything. Tony Alleyne, 56, has boldly gone where few have gone before and has transformed his flat into an amazingly accurate replica of a Star Trek set.
Over the past eight years he has turned his home into a homage to his favourite TV show after splitting with his wife. 'It all started as therapy after we split up,' he said. 'Building every bit from scratch really helped me to deal with the stress of it all.'
Initially Mr Alleyne decked the flat out in cream and metallic colours as the USS Enterprise from 1979's Star Trek: The Motion Picture. But he found that 'a bit boring' and has now upgraded by recreating the starship Voyager from the 1990s series of the same name.
A copy of the ship's command console controls the lights and sound effects in the apartment in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Every morning, a voice-activated computer system turns on fluorescent tubes that illuminate bleeping panels and a replica of the 'beam me up' transporter - all reflected in the mirrored ceiling. The windows have been fitted with layers of perspex and wood so that they appear to look out on outer space.

When landlord Chris Dowling visited an apartment recently vacated by a tenant, he was in for an unpleasant surprise.
The entire living area of the flat was crammed full of discarded polystyrene burger cartons worth £5,000. When he did manage to clear a path through the rubbish, he found a large pile of cigarette stubs to be carefully stacked on the side of the sink in the bathroom.
Stunned by the state of his £100,000 studio flat, Mr Dowling called in professional cleaners and decorators to sort it out. They shifted the burger carton mountain and takeaway detritus into a large van, packing it to the rafters, before visiting a nearby tip for disposal.
The tenant, a single man, had accumulated the mess during over about two years. There were more than 1,000 takeaway cartons and containers in the 15ft by 11ft living area of the flat.
Mr Dowling, who runs 46 homes, said: "The tenant had been smoking without opening windows and there were nicotine stains dripping from the walls. It smelt like a giant ashtray. There were McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken containers everywhere. I couldn't get through to get to the kitchen and they were stacked all around the bed. You couldn't see any part of the floor in the living area. In all my 15 years of running properties I have never come across anything like this before and we see all sorts."
