SIN NARRACION!
A las 12:10 horas del martes 12 de octubre, Florencio Ávalos, de 31 años, pasó a la historia. Tras 70 días bajo tierra, el hombre nacido en Salamanca, fue el primero en salir a la superficie luego que junto a sus 32 compañeros quedaran sepultados bajo miles de toneladas de tierra y rocas tras el derrumbe de la mina San José el pasado 5 de agosto.
Minutos antes, la expectación en el Campamento Esperanza, se mezclaba con el murmullo de la gente que esperaba inquieta a lado de los braceros de carbón que se multiplicaron para capear el frío y que se agolparon al lado de la pantalla gigante instalada afuera del casino del campamento.

Florencio Ávalos llegó a la superficie, el primero de los mineros
La cápsula "Fénix 2" llegó con éxito hasta el lugar de la mina San José, en el norte de Chile, donde están atrapados los 33 obreros desde el pasado 5 de agosto.
La jaula en la que descendió el rescatista Manuel González tardó 16 minutos en recorrer el trayecto desde la superficie hasta el túnel subterráneo donde aguardan a ser liberados los mineros, que se fundieron en abrazos con su salvador.
El descenso, según explicaron los encargados, se da a un ritmo lento para recorrer con seguridad el trayecto de 622 metros hasta el lugar donde aguardan los mineros.

With around 2,000 journalists at the San José mine it is not surprising firends and families of the trapped miners are worried about the effect the media attention will be when the miner escape from the tunnel.
"A poll of 20 families by the local newspaper La Tercera found that fears of media "overexposure" outweighed concerns over the men's psychological and physical health.
The hospital in the nearby town of Copiapó, where the men are due to be taken in a helicopter for 48 hours' observation, was bracing for a siege with security barriers being erected as TV crews arrived to book spots."-Guardian

Pictures over the weekend showed the tiny capsule which would be sent down to rescue the trapped miners. However, it won't be easy since the capsule can only carry one person for the long trip back to the service. With the additional plan that would mean the miners would have to climb a ladder out, if the Phoenix capsule fails.
Currently, the miners are going through training to prepare themselves for a escape out of the mine, which will hopefully take place a month from now.
