Susan Mitchell, an elderly woman from North Carolina, was frightened when she heard about tornado warnings in her area. She grabbed her cats and headed for the closet, forgetting it locks on the outside. She fell asleep in the closet, and upon waking desided she wanted out. After trying to break down the door, and failing, she wrote a note saying that she was locked in the closet and slipped it under the door, hoping someone looking for her would find it. After 20 hours she finally decided enough was enough and managed to bust a hole in her wall large enough to squeeze out. SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. - Beginning Tuesday February 5th, deadly F4 tornados ripped through several states in the mid-South, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Operation Blessing responded early Wednesday morning, partnering with local churches to help supply food and aid to people in need.
